Mapster Zapier integrationAutomate Mapster with Zapier.
The Mapster Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, and no action or search. That single trigger fires on every new survey response and is instant, so your feedback reaches other apps straight away. Here is how to use it, what it costs and where it trips.

What the Mapster Zapier integration actually does
The Mapster Zapier integration connects Mapster, a survey platform for collecting and analyzing user feedback, to Zapier, a tool that runs automations between apps. Each time someone answers one of your Mapster surveys, Zapier hears about it and passes the response on to the apps where your team actually works.
Three results you can build on New Survey Response. First, a feedback log that fills itself: each response becomes a row in a spreadsheet, so you can sort and count answers outside Mapster. Second, the right person told about the answers that matter: a filter keeps only the responses that meet your condition and sends them to a team chat or an inbox. Third, feedback attached to the person who gave it: the response goes to the tool where you keep your contacts, as a note or an update.
The good news first: this trigger is instant. Mapster tells Zapier the moment a response comes in, so even on the free plan nothing waits for a 15-minute check.
What Zapier does not do for Mapster: there is no Mapster action, so a Zap cannot create a survey, send one or write anything back into Mapster. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot look up an older response. And responses given before you switch the Zap on are never sent.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words keep coming back on this page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. With Mapster, it is a new survey response, and it is the only operation available.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. Mapster has none, so actions come from other apps.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One action your Zap completes successfully counts as one task, and your plan is a number of those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens, which is the case with Mapster.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Mapster Zap really costs
Mapster is not a premium app on Zapier, so it works on the free plan. The bill is counted in tasks, and the Mapster side never adds to it.
- Premium appNo, Mapster runs on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- New response arrivingFree, the trigger never counts
- Failed actionNot counted
The trigger never costs a task: a new survey response arriving is free. What counts are the actions that follow in other apps, one task each time one succeeds; one that fails is not counted. A Zap that sends each response to a sheet and to a chat uses two tasks per response. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: the Mapster trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below is Zapier's for polling triggers; it does not apply to New Survey Response, which is instant.
Connect your Mapster account to Zapier
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Mapster account linked once, then reused by every Zap that starts from Mapster.
- 02
Pick Mapster
Type Mapster in the search box of the dialog that opens, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Mapster side.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Mapster in that tab and allow Zapier to read the account. You need a Mapster account of your own, plus read or write access to anything you do not own and want the Zap to touch.
Your first Mapster Zap, step by step
GoalSend to your team chat only the survey responses that meet a condition you choose.
- 01
Build: start with Mapster
Create a Zap, choose Mapster as the app that starts it and New Survey Response as the event, then select your Mapster connection.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent responses, so you can pick a real one and see which fields Mapster sends before mapping.
- 03
Add the filter
From the plus icon, add Filter and set the field to look at, the rule and the value. Pick a text rule for text and a number rule for numbers, or it never passes.
- 04
Add the message
Add your team chat's action that sends a message, and map the response fields the test showed into the text, so readers see the answer without opening Mapster.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action, check the message arrived, then publish the Zap to switch it on. With a filter, this Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan.
Mapster triggers on Zapier
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Mapster, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Survey Response
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when there's a new survey response.”
Starts your Zap each time someone submits an answer to one of your Mapster surveys, and hands that response to the steps that follow.
When a Mapster Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Mapster, and no Mapster-specific limit is documented. What breaks first are the general Zapier rules below.
Because the Mapster trigger is instant, the interval of your plan is never the cause of a delay. When a run fails and you cannot see why, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Older responses never come through
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Responses collected before that stay in Mapster; moving that backlog is a separate job.A burst of responses gets held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, for example after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold the runs back.A loop through another app
Mapster has no action, so a Zap cannot write back into Mapster. A loop is still possible if a later step writes where another Zap's trigger watches; check your chain.
