Overview

What the Meet Alfred Zapier integration actually does for you

The Meet Alfred Zapier integration links Meet Alfred, the outreach and CRM tool built around LinkedIn and Gmail, to your other apps without code. Activity flows out: a new campaign, connection, lead or reply becomes a row, a message or a record elsewhere. One action flows in: a LinkedIn profile from another tool joins a Meet Alfred campaign.

Three results worth building first. Replies that reach the right person: New Reply Detected picks up a LinkedIn or email reply and your team chat gets a message about it. A lead list kept outside Meet Alfred: New Lead Found sends every lead added to the Meet Alfred CRM into a spreadsheet row. A campaign fed from elsewhere: a profile URL collected in another tool goes into a campaign through Add Lead to Campaign.

Know the pace before you build. All four Meet Alfred triggers are polling: Zapier checks for new items on a timer, and on the free plan that timer is 15 minutes. A reply can sit unseen until the next check, so a free-plan Zap is a fit for logging, less for anything urgent.

What Zapier does not do for Meet Alfred: it offers a single action, so it cannot update, move or remove a lead, and there is no search step to find one first. Nothing that existed before the Zap was switched on is picked up. To see how other tools handle that, see our n8n vs Zapier page.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words come back throughout this page. Here they are once, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier watches for that event.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something in an app for you.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. Each action your Zap completes successfully is one task, and your plan counts those.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only unseen ones.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself, calling Zapier the moment the event happens. Meet Alfred has none on Zapier.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when the incoming data meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter turns it into one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Meet Alfred Zap really costs

Meet Alfred is not a premium app on Zapier, so it runs on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only actions create them.

  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Trigger cost0 tasks, checks included
  • Meet Alfred triggers4 polling, 0 instant

Zapier checking Meet Alfred for new items costs nothing, however often it looks, and a trigger never costs a task. Each action that succeeds counts one task, so a three-action Zap uses three times what a one-action Zap uses; a failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps of two steps. A filter or a second action makes a multi-step Zap that needs a paid plan. The grid below is how often Zapier checks the four Meet Alfred triggers on each plan.

Connect

Connect your Meet Alfred account in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In Zapier, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Meet Alfred account, plus read or write access on any campaign you do not own yourself but want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

    Find Meet Alfred

Type Meet Alfred in the search box of the dialog, select it and click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Meet Alfred side, which is where the sign-in happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Meet Alfred in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection is saved once, then every Meet Alfred step in every Zap you build reuses it.

First Zap

Your first Zap: post Meet Alfred replies to your team chat

GoalWhen Meet Alfred detects a reply that matters to you, your team chat gets a message with the details.

  1. 01

Create the Zap and set the trigger

Start a new Zap, pick Meet Alfred as the app and New Reply Detected as the event, then choose your Meet Alfred connection.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real reply. Check at the test which fields come back.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, add Filter and fill the three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value. A text rule only works on text, so match the rule to the field.

  4. 04

    Add the chat message

Add your chat app as the action, pick the channel and build the message from the reply fields the test returned. Run the action test once and read what came back.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish. The filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan. Drop it and the Zap fits the free plan, posting every reply after each 15-minute check.

Triggers

Meet Alfred triggers: the 4 events that start a Zap

4 events start a Zap when something happens in Meet Alfred. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Campaign

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new campaign is created.”

Starts a Zap each time a campaign is created in Meet Alfred, and hands its details to the next step. Useful when the people around you track outreach somewhere other than Meet Alfred and need to know a campaign exists.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
each new campaign should open a matching row in a planning sheet or a note in your team chat.
Watch out
only campaigns created after the Zap is on are picked up.
2

New Connection Found

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new a connection added to Linkedin Network.”

Fires when a new connection is added to your LinkedIn network as Meet Alfred sees it. It turns each accepted invitation into data another app can work with, instead of a name you have to copy by hand.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
every new connection should land in your CRM or in a follow-up list kept outside LinkedIn.
Watch out
Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same connection will not start the Zap twice.
3

New Lead Found

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new lead added to CRM.”

Launches the Zap when a new lead is added to the Meet Alfred CRM. It is the trigger for keeping a second copy of your lead list somewhere the rest of the business can read.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
leads gathered in Meet Alfred must also appear in a spreadsheet or another CRM.
Watch out
a big import of leads can come back as one huge batch, which Zapier's flood protection may hold back.
4

New Reply Detected

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a LinkedIn or Email reply detected by Meet Alfred.”

Kicks off the Zap when Meet Alfred detects a reply, on LinkedIn or by email. Of the four triggers it is the one closest to a live conversation with a prospect.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
replies should reach a shared channel or a task list rather than wait in one inbox.
Watch out
on the free plan a reply only surfaces at the next check, so do not build anything urgent on it.
Actions

Meet Alfred action: what a Zap can do in Meet Alfred

Meet Alfred gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Add Lead to Campaign

Action

In Zapier“Adds lead(s) to campaign”

Puts a lead into one of your Meet Alfred campaigns, from a LinkedIn profile another step supplied, so outreach can start without anyone opening Meet Alfred.

When to use it
profiles collected in a form, a sheet or another CRM should flow straight into a running campaign.
Watch out
the campaign and the full LinkedIn profile URL are both required; check at the test that the earlier step carries the full URL.
When it breaks

When a Meet Alfred Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to Meet Alfred, so these are the general traps. With four polling triggers, all of them apply.

The editor warns you about none of these cases. Read them before you publish, not once the task count has moved. For a wider checklist, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • Nothing from before the Zap

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Leads, replies and connections that existed earlier are never picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A Zap that keeps restarting

A Zap that writes into the place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, burning tasks fast. Keep what the action writes away from what the trigger watches.
  • A bulk import held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of running them all.
  • Items that seem to be skipped

On a polling trigger Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same item never starts the Zap twice. A record you expect to fire again will not.

FAQ

Meet Alfred Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the Meet Alfred Zapier integration free?
Yes, it runs on the free plan, since Meet Alfred is not a premium app. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps: one trigger and one action. New Lead Found adding a spreadsheet row fits that. Add a filter to keep only some leads, or a second action, and you have a multi-step Zap that only a paid plan can publish. The free plan also checks the triggers every 15 minutes.
02How many tasks does a Meet Alfred Zap use?
One task per action that succeeds, and none for the trigger or for the checks Zapier makes. If New Connection Found fires and the Zap runs Add Lead to Campaign, that run costs one task. A second action in the same run would make it two. An action that fails is not counted, and an item a filter stops costs nothing because no action ran. To size a plan, multiply your actions by the items you expect each month.
03Do Meet Alfred triggers fire in real time?
No. All four Meet Alfred triggers are polling: Zapier asks Meet Alfred for new items on a timer. That timer depends on the plan: 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans you can also run a check by hand from the editor. The type comes from the app itself and cannot be switched in Zapier, so plan your Zap around the delay rather than against it.
04What does it take to connect Meet Alfred to Zapier?
A Meet Alfred account, plus read or write access on any campaign you do not own but want the Zap to touch. From the Apps page of Zapier, click + Add connection, search Meet Alfred, click Add connection, then sign in to Meet Alfred in the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is saved once and reused by every Meet Alfred step you add later, in any Zap. The campaigns you plan to fill must be reachable by that account.
05What does Add Lead to Campaign need to work?
Two required fields: a campaign, picked among those the connected account can reach, and the full URL of the lead's LinkedIn profile. So the step before it must carry a complete profile URL, not just a name. Check at the test what the earlier step really sends into that field, and that the campaign already exists before the Zap runs. If the test shows a gap, fix the field mapping before you publish.
06What if the Meet Alfred operation you want is not on Zapier?
Then the editor will not offer it, and no setting adds it. Meet Alfred on Zapier stops at five visible operations: four triggers and a single action, Add Lead to Campaign, with no search. Updating or removing a lead, for instance, is not there. Sometimes a different Zap gets close enough, for example logging the change in a sheet. If the gap blocks the whole idea, compare what other automation tools offer for Meet Alfred first.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Meet Alfred?
Choose by criterion, not by a winner. For a first automation, Zapier gives you four Meet Alfred triggers and one action behind a sign-in. For speed, those triggers are polling, so the plan you pay for sets how quickly a reply shows up. For volume, Zapier bills every successful action as a task; compare how each tool counts. For reach, Zapier offers a single Meet Alfred action. Test each tool against the Zap you actually need.
