Meet Xara Zapier integrationAutomate Meet Xara with Zapier.
The Meet Xara Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger and 0 actions, with no search step. It does one job: when Meet Xara generates an interview report, your Zap starts right away and carries that report to another app. Here is how to use it well.

What the Meet Xara Zapier integration actually does for you
The Meet Xara Zapier integration takes the interview reports produced by Meet Xara, the AI interviewer that assesses candidates for complex IT roles, and sends them to the rest of your tools without code. It works in one direction only: out of Meet Xara. A report is generated, and Zapier passes it to the app you choose.
Three results worth building first, all on the same trigger. A report the team sees: New Interview Report fires and your chat app posts a message, so nobody has to log in to Meet Xara to learn an interview is done. A running log of interviews: each report adds a row to your spreadsheet, which gives you one place to sort and compare candidates. A candidate record kept complete: the report lands in the CRM or tracking tool where you already follow each candidate.
The trigger is instant. Meet Xara tells Zapier itself when a report is ready, so the free plan's wait between checks does not apply here.
What Zapier does not do for Meet Xara: there is no action and no search step, so a Zap cannot create an interview, invite a candidate or change anything inside Meet Xara. It only listens. Reports generated before the Zap was switched on are never sent. If you need to write into Meet Xara, see our n8n vs Zapier page.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words come back throughout this page. Here they are once, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. For Meet Xara, it is a new interview report being generated.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something in another app for you.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. Each action your Zap completes successfully is one task, and your plan counts those.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself: it calls Zapier the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for a check.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeping only unseen ones.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when the incoming data meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter turns it into one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Meet Xara Zap really costs
Meet Xara is not a premium app on Zapier, so it works on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only the actions in the other apps create them.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Trigger cost0 tasks per report
- Meet Xara trigger1 instant, 0 polling
A new interview report firing the trigger costs nothing. Each action that follows and succeeds counts one task, so sending a report to your chat and to a sheet costs two per report. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps of two steps, which here means the trigger plus one action. A filter or a second action makes a multi-step Zap that needs a paid plan. The grid below is how often Zapier checks a polling trigger; it does not apply to the instant trigger of Meet Xara.
Connect your Meet Xara account in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In Zapier, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Meet Xara account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself but want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find Meet Xara
Type Meet Xara in the search box of the dialog, select it and click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Meet Xara side, which is where the sign-in actually happens.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to Meet Xara in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection is saved once, then any Zap built on New Interview Report reuses it.
Your first Zap: log each Meet Xara report and tell the team
GoalEvery time Meet Xara generates an interview report, a row is added to your spreadsheet and your team chat gets a message.
- 01
Create the Zap and set the trigger
Start a new Zap, pick Meet Xara as the app and New Interview Report as the event, then choose your Meet Xara connection. There is nothing else to set on this trigger.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real report. Check at the test which details the report carries.
- 03
Add the spreadsheet row
Add your spreadsheet as the first action, pick the file and the tab, then put each report detail in its column. Run the action test once and read what came back.
- 04
Add the chat message
Click the plus icon, add your chat app as a second action, choose the channel and write a short note from the report details. Test it the same way.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish. With two actions this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan and costs two tasks per report. On the free plan, keep only the row.
Meet Xara trigger: the event that starts a Zap
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Meet Xara, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Interview Report
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new interview report is generated.”
Starts a Zap each time Meet Xara generates a new interview report, and hands that report to the next step. It is the only way into this integration, so every Meet Xara Zap begins here and does its real work in other apps.
When a Meet Xara Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Meet Xara, so these are the general traps. With a single trigger, they are the whole list.
The editor warns you about none of these cases. Read them before you publish, not once the task count has moved. For a wider checklist, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
No past reports
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Interview reports generated earlier are never sent; moving that backlog is a separate job.A loop on the other side
A Zap that writes into the place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again. Meet Xara has no action, so watch for this in the Zaps that feed the same tools.A burst of reports held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of running them all.
