Miestro Zapier integrationAutomate Miestro with Zapier.
The Miestro Zapier integration gives you 4 triggers and 3 actions, with no search step. Every trigger is checked on a timer, none is instant, and Miestro is open on the free plan, so a simple two-step Zap costs nothing to try.

What the Miestro Zapier integration actually does for you
Linking Miestro to Zapier lets Zapier keep an eye on your course platform (completions, new members, signups, plans) and lets it create members, owners or enrollments for you. You set that up once as a Zap: the automation you build on Zapier, one trigger followed by one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
A completion log that fills itself. New Course Completion hands each finished course to a spreadsheet step, so your record of who completed what grows without anyone copying names across.
Members created from somewhere else. When people arrive through another tool, Create Member turns each entry into a Miestro member with the Email and Full Name it was given. Nobody retypes a list.
The next course, opened on time. Chain New Course Completion with Enroll Member and a student who finishes one course is enrolled in the course you set in the step, with Email and Name mapped from the trigger once the test shows them.
What Zapier does not do here matters just as much. None of the four triggers is instant, so every one of them waits for Zapier's next check. There is no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing member before acting. And the visible list has no action to update or remove a member, an owner or an enrollment: creating is all it offers.
If that list feels short for what you plan, see our n8n vs Zapier page before you commit.
Zapier words, in one minute
Eight words come back on every line of this page. Here is each one in plain terms.
- Zap
- The automation itself: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event shows up.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something in an app on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action that your Zap completed successfully; your plan counts those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for recent items at a fixed interval and keeps only the new ones.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports by itself the moment the event happens. Miestro has none of these on Zapier.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap that goes past one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a Miestro Zap really costs
Watching Miestro is free. The trigger never costs a task, and neither do Zapier's checks for new data, however often they run.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps of two steps each
- Trigger checksNever billed, whatever the interval
- Failed actionNot counted against the plan
- Miestro on freeYes, not reserved for paid plans
You pay in tasks, and only for actions that work: each successful Create Member, Create Owner or Enroll Member counts once, while an action that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three times more than a Zap with one. Miestro is not reserved for paid plans, so the free plan is enough to start, within its own limits: two steps per Zap. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below applies to all four Miestro triggers, since they are all polling triggers.
Connect your Miestro account in three moves
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a Miestro account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find Miestro
Type Miestro in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Miestro side so you can sign in there rather than in Zapier.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to Miestro in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection is then saved once and reused by every Zap step that works with Miestro, so you do not redo it for each Zap.
Your first Zap: log finished courses in a spreadsheet
GoalEvery time a student completes a course in Miestro, keep only the completions you care about and add them as a row in your spreadsheet.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap in the editor and pick Miestro as the app that starts it, with New Course Completion as the event. Choose the Miestro connection you added earlier.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent completions of the connected account. Pick a real one, since the rest of the Zap is mapped on it.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter, then fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, and the value to compare with. A text rule only works on text, so match the rule to the field.
- 04
Add the spreadsheet step
Add the action of your spreadsheet tool that creates a row and map the completion fields into its columns. With a filter in it, this Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan.
- 05
Test, then publish
Run each step once and read what came back before going further. When the row looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only completions after that moment are picked up.
Miestro triggers on Zapier
4 events start a Zap when something happens in Miestro. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Course Completion
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user completes a course.”
Starts your Zap when a student finishes one of your Miestro courses, which makes it the trigger for anything that should follow a completed course: a log, a follow-up message, or the next enrollment.
New Member
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new member is created.”
Fires on each member created in your Miestro account, whatever the course they end up in, so it is the widest net of the four triggers and the closest to a plain list of who joined.
New Signup
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a member signs up for a course.”
Reacts to a member signing up for a course. New Member covers any member created; this one is tied to a course signup, which makes it the closer fit when the course matters.
Get Plans
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Get Course Plans.”
Pulls course plans from your Miestro account. Its official description says no more than that it gets course plans, so treat it as the trigger that watches the plans side of your courses rather than people.
Miestro actions on Zapier
Miestro gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Owner
ActionIn Zapier“Create new owner in miestro.”
Creates a new owner in Miestro, a different kind of account from a member. Three fields are required here: Email, First Name and Last Name, so a source that only holds a full name needs splitting first.
Enroll Member
ActionIn Zapier“Enroll member to course.”
Puts a member into one of your courses. The step asks for three required fields, Email, Name and Course, and Course has to point to one of the courses in your connected account.
Create Member
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new member.”
Adds a new member to your Miestro account from data another step brought in. It only needs an Email and a Full Name, both required, which makes it the lightest way to get someone into Miestro.
When a Miestro Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Miestro and states no limit of its own for the app. What breaks is what breaks on any Zap.
The four cases below cover what goes wrong most on a Zap built like this one. If something else stops yours, open our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Older members are never picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Members, signups and completions that already existed stay where they are; moving them is a separate job.A Zap that keeps restarting itself
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burn through your task count quickly.A big batch held back
After a bulk import into Miestro, a trigger that suddenly returns a large batch can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running every item. The same item, run once
Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same item does not start the Zap twice.
