MioCommerce Zapier integrationAutomate MioCommerce with Zapier.
The MioCommerce Zapier integration counts 2 triggers, 0 actions and 0 searches. Both triggers watch your customers: one fires when a customer is created, the other when one is updated. Everything after that happens in your other apps. Here is how it works.

What the MioCommerce Zapier integration is for
The MioCommerce Zapier integration sends news about your customers from MioCommerce, an e-commerce platform built for at-home service providers, to the other apps you run. On Zapier, the automation you build is a Zap: one event in an app starts it, then one or more steps follow every time. Here, the starting events are always about customers.
A mailing list that grows with your customer base. New Customer starts a Zap each time a customer is created, and the next step adds that person to your mailing tool. Nobody exports a file or retypes an address.
A sheet that stays in step with your records. Updated Customer starts a Zap when an existing customer changes. Point it at your spreadsheet and the change lands there too, as a new line you can read later. Check at the test which details the trigger really carries.
A heads-up for the team. Put a chat message after New Customer, and the team hears about each new customer without opening MioCommerce.
What Zapier does not do here. MioCommerce offers no action and no search on Zapier. A Zap can read customer events, but it cannot create, change or look up anything inside MioCommerce. Both triggers are about customers only: nothing in the list covers other events. A Zap also ignores customers created before it is switched on. Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words carry this page. Here they are once, in plain English, so the rest needs no dictionary.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts a Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. MioCommerce offers two, both about customers.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. With MioCommerce, it lives in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and the allowance of your plan counts those.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself: it calls Zapier the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for the next check.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval. MioCommerce has none of these.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a MioCommerce Zap really costs
MioCommerce is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. Its two triggers never cost a task, and neither does Zapier waiting for the next customer event.
- Free plan100 tasks a month
- Zaps on the free planUnlimited, two steps each
- Premium appNo
- Cost of the triggersNo task
The tasks come from the steps that follow, in your other apps: each action that succeeds counts once, and one that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps, one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below governs polling triggers only: it does not apply here, since both MioCommerce triggers are instant.
Connect your MioCommerce account to Zapier
- 01
Open Apps and add a connection
In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a MioCommerce account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find MioCommerce
In the dialog, type MioCommerce in the search box and select it, then click Add connection. A new tab then opens for the sign-in on the MioCommerce side.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to MioCommerce in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is made once: both triggers, in every Zap you build afterwards, reuse it.
Your first Zap: new MioCommerce customers on your mailing list
GoalEach new MioCommerce customer that meets your condition is added to your mailing tool, without an export.
- 01
Pick New Customer
Create a Zap, choose MioCommerce and its New Customer event as the trigger, then connect the account. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent customers, so you map a real one.
- 02
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter, and fill the three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value to compare with. A filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 03
Add your mailing tool
Add the action of your mailing tool and map the customer details you saw in the trigger test into its fields, the email address first.
- 04
Test each step
Run each step once and read what came back before moving on. If a field arrives empty, go back to the trigger test and check what the customer record really carried.
- 05
Publish
Publish the Zap to switch it on. From then on, each new customer that passes the filter reaches your list; customers created before publishing are not picked up.
The MioCommerce triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in MioCommerce, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Customer
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new customer is created.”
Starts a Zap each time a customer record is created in MioCommerce, and hands that customer to the steps that follow so they can add, notify or file.
Updated Customer
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an existing customer is updated.”
Reacts to changes rather than arrivals: a Zap starts when a customer who already exists in MioCommerce is updated, and hands that customer to the steps that follow.
When a MioCommerce Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to MioCommerce, and no limit of the app itself is documented. What trips a MioCommerce Zap are the general rules that apply to every Zap.
Three of them matter with customer triggers. Read them before you publish, and keep our Zapier troubleshooting guide at hand for the rest.
No catch-up on past customers
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Customers created or updated before you published never reach it, and moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that feeds its own trigger
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burn through the task count fast. Keep the two apart.Flood protection on big batches
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back. Plan large imports with that in mind.
