Moblico Zapier integrationAutomate Moblico with Zapier.
The Moblico Zapier integration gives you 2 triggers, 3 actions and 1 search. Both triggers are instant, the actions create, update or message a contact, and the search can find a contact or create it when it is missing. It runs on the free plan.

What the Moblico Zapier integration does for you
It connects Moblico, a mobile marketing platform that reaches people by SMS among other channels, to Zapier, the tool that chains automations between apps. New and changed Moblico contacts can start steps in other tools, and those tools can create, update, find or message Moblico contacts.
A first message for every new contact. New Contact starts the Zap the moment someone joins your Moblico base, and Send Message reaches them. Nobody has to watch the contact list to say hello.
One contact record, never two. An event in another tool runs Find Contact with its find-or-create box ticked: Moblico returns the person if they exist and creates them if not. Update Contact can then write the fresh details on the right record.
Edits that travel. Update Contact, the trigger this time, fires when contact details change in Moblico, so your spreadsheet or CRM can copy the change instead of drifting apart.
What Zapier does not do here: the six operations all revolve around contacts and messages, nothing else from Moblico can start or end a Zap. A search also makes a Zap multi-step, so the find-or-create pattern needs a paid plan. For a wider view of the tool, see our Zapier review and our Make vs Zapier comparison.
Zapier words in one minute
Eight words come back on every Zapier screen. Here they are in plain terms, before you connect Moblico.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something in an app on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts these.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself: it calls Zapier the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for a check.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeping only unseen ones.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, so the steps that follow can use what it found.
What a Moblico Zap really costs
Moblico is not a premium app on Zapier, so you can use it on the free plan. You spend tasks, and only actions spend them.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Tasks on the free plan100 per month
- Steps per Zap on the free plan2 (one trigger, one action)
- Search step on the free planNo, it makes the Zap multi-step
New Contact and Update Contact never cost a task. Each Create Contact, Send Message or Update Contact that goes through counts as one; a failed one is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter, a second action or a search step like Find Contact makes it a multi-step Zap, and multi-step Zaps need a paid plan. The interval grid below is for polling triggers: it does not apply to the two instant triggers of this app.
Connect Moblico to Zapier
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Moblico account linked once, then reused by every Zap step that works with Moblico.
- 02
Pick Moblico
Search Moblico by name in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. You need an account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Moblico opens in a new tab. Sign in, then grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is then offered in the account menu of each step that uses Moblico, in this Zap and the next ones.
Your first Zap: welcome selected new contacts
GoalWhen a contact is created in Moblico and meets a condition you set, send that contact a message from Moblico.
- 01
Set the trigger
Create a Zap, pick Moblico and the New Contact event, then your connection. It is an instant trigger: Moblico reports each new contact itself, so there is no interval to set.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real contact. Check at test which details come back.
- 03
Add the filter
From the plus icon, add Filter and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value to compare with. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add Send Message
Add Moblico again, event Send Message. Fill the fields the step asks for with values from the trigger, then test it and read what came back before going further.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Each new contact that passes the filter then costs one task, the message, as long as it goes through.
Moblico triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Moblico, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Contact
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new contact is created.”
Starts your Zap each time a contact is created in your Moblico account, and hands that contact to the following steps so they can greet, copy or sort it.
Update Contact
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when existing contact information is updated.”
Fires when the details of an existing Moblico contact change, so a correction made in the app can reach the tools that hold a copy of the same person.
Moblico actions
Moblico gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a Contact”
Adds a new contact to Moblico from data an earlier step brought in, without anyone typing it.
Send Message
ActionIn Zapier“Sends a message.”
Sends a message through your Moblico account from inside the Zap, with content mapped from earlier steps.
Update Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Updates an existing Contact.”
Changes the details of a contact that already exists in Moblico, with values mapped from earlier steps.
Moblico searches
1 search step looks for data that already exists in Moblico, so a later step can use it.
A search step looks up a Moblico contact that already exists and hands it to the next steps. It sits at the bottom of the action-event list, under its own SEARCH heading, and any Zap that holds one is multi-step, so it needs a paid plan. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not a clean single match.
Find Contact
SearchFind or createIn Zapier“Finds a Contact”
Looks up an existing contact in Moblico and passes it on, so a later Update Contact or Send Message works on the right person.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there and skips the steps that needed it. Switched on, the Zap carries on empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet?Ticking this box turns the search into a find-or-create: the setting above disappears and the step asks for the fields needed to create the missing item.
- If multiple search results are found?Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or hand all of them on at once.
When a Moblico Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Moblico, and no rate limit is published for it. What breaks is what breaks on any Zap, plus the default behaviour of the search step.
Four cases cover most of the surprises on this app. If a Zap still misbehaves after them, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Existing contacts are never picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Your current base stays where it is; moving that backlog is a separate job.The Zap stops at Find Contact
By default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap and skips the steps that depended on it. Switch on the empty-result setting, or tick find-or-create.The Zap keeps restarting itself
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burns through the task count fast.A big import gets held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.
