What the Oasis LMS Zapier integration does
Oasis LMS is a learning platform where you build and publish courses and exams. Its Zapier integration does one precise job: it starts a course for a given learner. The Zap begins in another app, a checkout, a form or a CRM, and Oasis LMS opens the course for the email address it receives.
Three results that one action is enough for. Paid course, instant access: your payment tool reports a sale and Start Course opens the course for the buyer, without anyone enrolling them by hand. A free module after sign-up: a lead magnet form collects an email, and the same action starts an introductory course for that person. Onboarding for new hires: an HR or CRM tool reports a new team member, and the Zap starts the training course they are expected to follow.
What Zapier does not do here is just as important. Oasis LMS has no trigger, so a finished course, a passed exam or a new learner inside Oasis LMS cannot start a Zap. There is no search step either, so a Zap cannot check whether a learner already follows a course. And the single action only starts courses: it does not create courses, grade exams or remove access.

Zapier vocabulary, once and for all
Seven words keep coming back on this page. Here is what each one means in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap. With Oasis LMS it always comes from another app, as Oasis LMS has no trigger of its own.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes or changes something for you, here starting a course for someone.
- Task
- What Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The allowance of your plan is counted in tasks.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier checks the trigger app on a timer. Instant: the trigger app itself warns Zapier the moment an event occurs.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it in every other case.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it then requires a paid plan.
What an Oasis LMS Zap really costs
Oasis LMS is available on every Zapier plan, the free one included. You pay in tasks, one per course that starts successfully.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Zap size on Free2 steps: one trigger, one action
- Paid plan requiredNo, works on Free
- Oasis LMS triggersNone, the Zap starts in another app
The trigger in your payment or form app costs nothing. Each successful Start Course counts one task, so a hundred enrolments a month use exactly the free plan's allowance of 100 tasks. An attempt that fails is not counted. The free plan also limits the Zap to two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter, for example to enrol only buyers of a specific product, or a welcome email after the course starts, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Speed depends on the trigger app, not on Oasis LMS.
Connect your Oasis LMS account to Zapier
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account. A connection is your Oasis LMS account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap step that starts a course. Click + Add connection.
- 02
Choose Oasis LMS
Type Oasis LMS in the dialog's search box, select it and click Add connection. You need an existing Oasis LMS account for this; Zapier only links to it.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
A tab opens on Oasis LMS. Log in with the account that manages your courses, then allow Zapier to use it. The connection then shows in your list, ready for Start Course.
Your first Oasis LMS Zap, step by step
GoalStart a course automatically for each person who fills in your sign-up form and ticks the box to join it.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap in Zapier. The editor opens with an empty trigger card at the top and an empty action card just below it, ready to fill.
- 02
Set the trigger in your form app
Oasis LMS has no trigger, so the Zap starts in your form tool. Pick its new entry event and your connection, then test to bring back recent answers.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Keep only answers where the join box is ticked, so people who did not ask for the course are left alone.
- 04
Add Start Course
Choose Oasis LMS, then
Start Course. Type the Course Product Code of the course, and map the email answer of the form into Email Address. - 05
Test, then publish
Run the test with your own email and check that the course appears for that learner. Then click Publish; with a filter, this Zap needs a paid plan.
The Oasis LMS action
Oasis LMS gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Start Course
ActionIn Zapier“Starts a course for the specified user”
Opens a chosen course for one learner, identified by email, so they can begin without waiting for an administrator to enrol them.
When an Oasis LMS Zap breaks
Zapier lists no help article and no rate limit specific to Oasis LMS. What goes wrong comes from the two required fields and from the way Zaps work.
Four cases cover most surprises. When one of them strikes, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks you through the fix.
A required field arrives empty
Start Course needs a Course Product Code and an Email Address. A form answer without email, or a code left blank, and the step cannot run.Past buyers are not enrolled
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. People who paid before that get no course; enrolling them is a separate job.A big batch gets held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold the runs back. The same item enrols once only
On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of the items it has already seen, so the same answer or sale does not start the course twice.
