Overview

What the Offer Hype Zapier integration is for

Offer Hype puts small social proof notices on your site: a visitor on a page you picked sees that someone just signed up or bought, which nudges them to do the same. Connecting it to Zapier lets any other tool you use feed those notices with real conversions, automatically.

Everything here runs through one action, Create Conversion, so the outcomes are about where the conversion comes from. Live signup notices from your forms: a new form entry becomes a conversion in the right campaign. Purchase notices from your checkout: a sale recorded in your payment or store tool is pushed into Offer Hype the same way. Webinar or waitlist proof: registrations collected elsewhere show up on the landing page that sells the next session.

Now what Zapier does not do for Offer Hype. There is no trigger, so Offer Hype can never start a Zap: nothing that happens inside it can be sent onward to your CRM or your inbox through Zapier. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot check whether a conversion already exists before adding one. Offer Hype is always a later step, fed by another app.

If you are weighing other tools for the same flow, the n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons set the criteria out plainly.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

A handful of Zapier words come back throughout this page. Here they are, in plain terms.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Offer Hype has none, so the trigger always comes from another tool.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts. Here, Create Conversion is the action that writes a conversion into Offer Hype.
Task
What Zapier bills you for: one action that your Zap completes successfully. Your plan allowance counts these.
Instant vs polling
An instant trigger is reported by its app the moment it happens. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer instead.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
Connection
Your Offer Hype account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap and every step that needs Offer Hype.
Cost

What it really costs

Offer Hype is not a premium app, so it works on the free Zapier plan. Each conversion it receives is one task.

  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan
  • Cost per conversion1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Offer Hype operations1 action, no trigger

The trigger of your Zap costs nothing, whatever app it comes from. Every successful Create Conversion counts as one task, and a failed one is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter and the Zap turns multi-step, which needs a paid plan. How fast the Zap reacts depends on the trigger app: instant, or polling on the grid below. Your Offer Hype subscription is billed separately.

Connect

Connect Offer Hype to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need an Offer Hype account first, with access to the campaigns the Zap will write into.

  2. 02

    Pick Offer Hype

Type Offer Hype in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Offer Hype side, so let it load.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Offer Hype in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection now shows on your Apps page, ready for every Zap you build next.

First Zap

Your first Zap: form signups as live social proof

GoalEach new form response with an email becomes a conversion in your Offer Hype campaign.

  1. 01

Create the Zap and pick the trigger

Start a new Zap and choose the tool where signups happen, here a form, with its new response event. Offer Hype cannot start a Zap, so the trigger always lives elsewhere.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent responses from the connected account, so you map fields on a real one rather than on a guess.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon and add Filter, set to let through only responses where the email field exists. This makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add Create Conversion

Add Offer Hype with Create Conversion, pick the Campaign, then map the email and the first name from the form into the matching fields.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test the action once and check the conversion in Offer Hype. When it looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on for good.

Actions

Offer Hype actions

Offer Hype gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Conversion

Action

In Zapier“Creates a conversion in the system”

Adds a new conversion to an Offer Hype campaign, so the person who just signed up or bought from you can appear in the notices on your pages.

When to use it
right after a checkout, a form or a booking tool records a new customer, to keep your social proof current without manual entry.
Watch out
Campaign, Email and First Name are all required, so a source that does not collect a first name will make every run fail.
When it breaks

When it breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Offer Hype, so the traps below are the general ones that apply to any app, plus the required fields of Create Conversion.

Most failing Offer Hype Zaps come down to one of these four. If yours misbehaves and none of them fits, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through the next checks.

  • No backfill of past signups

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Customers who signed up before you published it never reach Offer Hype; importing that backlog is a separate job.
  • A missing first name stops the run

Create Conversion requires Campaign, Email and First Name. When the source has no first name for someone, the action fails for that person and nothing shows on the site.
  • Flood protection after a big import

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier can hold it back instead of pushing every row to Offer Hype.
  • The filter that never passes

Filter rules are typed: a text rule only works on text, a number rule only on numbers. Pick the wrong one and no conversion ever gets through.

FAQ

Offer Hype Zapier integration questions

01Is the Offer Hype Zapier integration free?
Yes, as far as Zapier goes. Offer Hype is not a premium app, so you can connect it on the free plan. That plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps: one trigger from another app and one action. A Zap that turns each new signup into a conversion fits inside that limit. As soon as you add a filter or a second action, the Zap becomes multi-step and requires a paid plan. Your Offer Hype subscription is a separate matter.
02How many tasks does an Offer Hype Zap use?
One per conversion created. The trigger never costs a task, whatever app it comes from, and Zapier only counts actions that succeed. So a hundred new signups pushed into Offer Hype use a hundred tasks, which is the whole monthly allowance of the free plan. A Create Conversion that fails, for instance because a first name is missing, is not counted. If you add other actions to the same Zap, each successful one counts on its own.
03Do conversions reach Offer Hype in real time?
It depends on the trigger app, because Offer Hype has no trigger of its own. If the tool that starts your Zap uses an instant trigger, the conversion goes through the moment the signup happens, on any plan. If it uses a polling trigger, Zapier checks for new items on a timer, every 15 minutes on the free plan and faster on paid plans. The editor shows a lightning bolt on Zaps built on an instant trigger.
04What do you need to connect an Offer Hype account?
An Offer Hype account with access to the campaigns you want to fill. Then open the Apps page in Zapier, click + Add connection, search for Offer Hype, and click Add connection again in the dialog. Sign in to Offer Hype in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. The connection is saved once and every later Zap reuses it. Create at least one campaign beforehand, since Create Conversion asks for one.
05Why does Create Conversion fail on some records?
Usually because a required field is empty. Create Conversion needs three things every time: a Campaign, an Email and a First Name. Sources such as quick signup forms or some checkouts do not always collect a first name, and the action then fails for that record. Map a field that is always filled, or add a filter so only complete records go through, keeping in mind that a filter needs a paid plan.
06What if the Offer Hype operation you need is not there?
Offer Hype on Zapier offers a single operation, the Create Conversion action. There is no trigger and no search, so a Zap cannot react to something happening inside Offer Hype, nor look up an existing conversion. If the job is to send Offer Hype data elsewhere, Zapier cannot do it with this app today. Check the Offer Hype page on Zapier from time to time, since an app's catalog can grow.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Offer Hype?
It depends on your criteria rather than on a winner. First criterion: does the tool list Offer Hype at all? On Zapier it does, with Create Conversion available on the free plan. Second: how a run is billed. Zapier counts every successful action as a task, so a hundred signups use the whole free allowance; price your real volume in each tool. Third: whether you need to read data out of Offer Hype, which Zapier cannot do today.
