Optmyzr Zapier integrationAutomate Optmyzr with Zapier.
The Optmyzr Zapier integration gives you 2 triggers and no action. Optmyzr can start a Zap when a new alert or a new blueprint task appears, and the rest of the work happens in the other apps you connect after it. Every Zap still needs an action in another app.

What the Optmyzr Zapier integration is for
The Optmyzr Zapier integration lets the paid search optimization tool Optmyzr start automations in your other apps. A Zap (the automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions) waits for an Optmyzr event and then acts somewhere else: a chat, a sheet, a task board.
Three results are worth building. An alert relay: New Alert pushes each Optmyzr alert to the channel where your PPC team already talks, so nobody has to keep the dashboard open. A to-do feed: New Blueprint Task copies each new blueprint task into the task board your account managers actually use. An alert log: the same New Alert writes every alert as a row in a sheet, so you can look back at what fired and when.
The most useful detail on this page: of the 2 triggers, New Alert is the only instant one. Optmyzr reports it to Zapier itself, so it runs straight away, even on the free plan. New Blueprint Task waits for Zapier to check, at the interval of your plan.
What Zapier does not do here matters as much. Optmyzr has no action and no search step on Zapier. A Zap cannot change a bid, pause a campaign, create a task in Optmyzr or look something up in it. Optmyzr only speaks first. If your workflow needs to write back into Optmyzr, Zapier cannot do that part. For a wider view, see Zapier review and Make vs Zapier.
Zapier words you will meet on this page
Eight terms, each in one line. Once read, the rest of the page uses them without explanation.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap, such as a new Optmyzr alert. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. Optmyzr offers none, so actions live in other apps.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan is a count of those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself, the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for the next check. New Alert works this way.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What an Optmyzr Zap costs
Zapier counts tasks, and an Optmyzr trigger is never one of them.
- Optmyzr trigger0 tasks
- Each successful action elsewhere1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- New AlertInstant, no interval
Since Optmyzr has only triggers, the Optmyzr part of your Zap is free: the trigger never costs a task, and Zapier checking for new blueprint tasks costs nothing however often it looks. You pay for what happens next. Every action in another app that succeeds counts as one task, and a failed one does not count. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, and a check every 15 minutes for polling triggers. Each free Zap stops at two steps: one trigger and one action. Optmyzr is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Adding a filter makes the Zap multi-step and calls for a paid plan.
Connect your Optmyzr account
- 01
Go to Apps
Open the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. A connection (your Optmyzr account linked to Zapier once) is then reused by every Zap you build with Optmyzr.
- 02
Pick Optmyzr
Search for Optmyzr by name in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. Keep your Optmyzr login at hand: the next screen asks for it, and Zapier only links the account you sign in with.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Sign in to Optmyzr in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access to the account. You need an Optmyzr account, plus access to the accounts and alerts you do not own but want the Zap to read.
Build your first Optmyzr Zap
GoalSend each new Optmyzr alert to your team channel, but only when it matches a condition you choose.
- 01
Choose the trigger
Create a Zap, pick Optmyzr as the app and
New Alertas the event, then select your Optmyzr connection. The lightning bolt in the editor tells you this trigger is instant. - 02
Test it on a real alert
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent alerts of the connected account, so you build the rest of the Zap on real data rather than an empty sample.
- 03
Add a filter
From the plus icon, add a Filter step and set the field to look at, the rule and the value. Mind the rule type: a text rule on a number never passes. This step needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the action
Pick the app that should receive the alert and its action, then map the alert details from the trigger into the message. Test the step and read what came back.
- 05
Publish
When the test looks right, publish the Zap to switch it on. From then on, every new alert that passes the filter lands in the channel.
The 2 Optmyzr triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Optmyzr, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Blueprint Task
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when new blueprint tasks are created for a user.”
Picks up the blueprint tasks Optmyzr creates for a user and hands each new one to your Zap. That turns the Optmyzr to-do list into items in the tool your team already plans its week in, with no copying by hand.
New Alert
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new alert is created.”
Each alert Optmyzr creates on your accounts becomes a Zap run. This is the trigger that makes the integration worth it: an alert is only useful if someone reads it in time, and this one goes out where people actually look.
When an Optmyzr Zap goes wrong
Zapier lists no help article and no rate limit for Optmyzr. The cases below are general Zapier behaviors, seen through this integration.
With only two triggers and no action, an Optmyzr Zap rarely fails inside Optmyzr. Trouble comes from timing, volume and what the Zap was never built to see. For runs that do fail, there is Zapier troubleshooting.
No backlog
A Zap only reacts to alerts and blueprint tasks created after you switch it on. Anything older stays in Optmyzr; moving it elsewhere is a separate job.Blueprint tasks look late
New Blueprint Task is a polling trigger. On the free plan Zapier checks every 15 minutes, so a task can sit in Optmyzr for a while before the Zap sees it.A burst of alerts held back
If an account change suddenly produces a huge batch of alerts or tasks, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back instead of firing them all at once.No duplicate tasks
Zapier remembers what it already saw on a polling trigger, so the same blueprint task does not start the Zap twice, even across many checks.
