PayPlus Zapier integrationAutomate PayPlus with Zapier.

The PayPlus Zapier integration gives you 3 triggers, 0 actions and 0 searches: it reports payments out of PayPlus, it never writes back into it. All three triggers are instant and work on the free plan. Here is what each one does and where it can mislead you.

Overview

What the PayPlus Zapier integration actually does

It turns events in your PayPlus account (the payment service that processes your customers' cards) into the starting point of automations in your other tools, through Zapier. A payment goes through or an invoice is issued, PayPlus tells Zapier, and Zapier carries the information wherever you need it.

Three results people build with it. A live sales log: New Charge writes each successful payment to a spreadsheet or an accounting tool, so nobody exports a report by hand. An invoice trail: New Invoice passes each new invoice to the place your bookkeeper actually works. A ready-to-ship signal: New Approval tells the team that funds are held on a customer's card, so they can prepare the order before the money is taken.

Now what Zapier cannot do with PayPlus, because it is a lot. There is no action at all: a Zap cannot create a charge, issue an invoice, refund a payment or change anything inside PayPlus. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot look up an existing payment. PayPlus can only start Zaps. Whatever happens next always runs in another app.

That makes the integration narrow but clean: three events, all reported instantly, which is exactly what a payment flow wants. For a broader read on the tool itself, see the Zapier review.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary, in plain words

Seven words come back all along this page. Here they are once.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for it, here a new approval, charge or invoice in PayPlus.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes or sends something for you. With PayPlus, actions always live in another app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts exactly those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, at the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it there otherwise.
Connection
Your PayPlus account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that starts from PayPlus.
Cost

What a PayPlus Zap really costs

Zapier bills tasks, and only one thing creates a task: an action that works.

  • PayPlus trigger0 tasks
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
  • PayPlus on the free planYes, not reserved to paid plans
  • PayPlus triggers3 of 3 instant

Since PayPlus only provides triggers, PayPlus itself never costs you a task. The trigger is free, and so is Zapier listening for new events. What you pay for is each successful action in the other apps of the Zap: one action per run, one task. A failed action is not counted. PayPlus is not reserved to paid plans, so it works on the free plan: 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below only concerns polling triggers. All three PayPlus triggers are instant, so on any plan, free included, the Zap starts without waiting.

Connect

Connect your PayPlus account in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a PayPlus account first, plus access to anything you do not own yourself but want the Zap to read.

  2. 02

    Pick PayPlus

Type PayPlus in the search box of the dialog that appears, select it in the results, then click Add connection to start the link. A new tab opens on PayPlus's side.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to PayPlus in that tab and allow Zapier to reach your account. The connection now shows on the Apps page, and every Zap that starts from PayPlus can reuse it.

First Zap

Your first PayPlus Zap, step by step

GoalEach successful PayPlus charge is logged in a sheet and announced to the team.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose PayPlus as the app and New Charge as the event, then select the PayPlus connection you just made. It starts everything.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent charges of the account, so you map the next steps on a real payment rather than a blank.

  3. 03

    Add the sheet

Add the spreadsheet app as the first action and map the charge details into its columns. On its own, this two-step Zap runs on the free plan.

  4. 04

    Add the message

Add the team chat app as a second action. That makes it a multi-step Zap, so this part needs a paid plan; keep only the sheet if you are on the free one.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each action and check the result in both tools. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. It reacts only to charges made from that moment.

Triggers

The 3 PayPlus triggers

3 events start a Zap when something happens in PayPlus, and 3 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

New Approval

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new successful approval is created. Holds funds but doesn’t charge yet.”

Starts a Zap when a card authorization succeeds in PayPlus. The funds are held on the customer's card, but nothing has been charged yet, which makes this the early signal in a payment flow.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
your warehouse or your team should start preparing an order once the money is secured on the card.
Watch out
an approval is not revenue; never let this trigger write to your sales figures as if the customer had paid.
2

New Charge

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new successful charge is created.”

Goes off for every successful charge created in PayPlus. This is the money actually taken, so it is the trigger to build on whenever a Zap should record or celebrate a sale.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
a sales sheet, an accounting tool or a team channel should get a line for each payment received.
Watch out
it only reports successful charges, so a declined card never starts the Zap and cannot be followed up from here.
3

New Invoice

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new invoice is created.”

Fires each time an invoice is created in PayPlus. Where New Charge tells you money came in, this one tells you a document was issued, which is what your bookkeeping usually needs to match.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
your accountant wants every new invoice logged in the sheet or the tool they check.
Watch out
it reports the creation of the invoice, not its payment; pair it with New Charge if you track both.
When it breaks

When a PayPlus Zap breaks

Zapier lists no help article and no rate limit specific to PayPlus. The problems come from the general behaviour of Zaps, and from reading a payment event the wrong way.

None of these is a bug: each is how Zapier works, and each is easy to plan for once you know it. When something else goes wrong, the Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.

  • Past payments never arrive

A Zap reacts only to what happens after it is switched on. Charges and invoices made before are ignored, and moving that history is a separate job.
  • Approvals counted as sales

New Approval means funds are held, not taken. A Zap that logs approvals as revenue overstates what you really collected.
  • A sudden batch gets held back

If a large number of events reaches Zapier at once, after a bulk operation for instance, its flood protection can hold those runs back.

FAQ

PayPlus and Zapier: questions people ask

01Is the PayPlus Zapier integration free?
Yes, on Zapier's free plan. PayPlus is not reserved to paid plans, so you can connect it and build Zaps without paying anything. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap is limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. A Zap such as New Charge writing a spreadsheet row fits that limit. Adding a second action or a filter turns it into a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. Plan prices move often, so check Zapier's plan page before choosing one.
02How many Zapier tasks does a PayPlus Zap use?
PayPlus itself uses none. Its three triggers cost nothing, and neither does Zapier listening for new events. Tasks come from the actions that follow in your other apps: each action that succeeds counts once per run, and a failed one does not count. So a Zap with New Charge and one action uses one task per payment, and a Zap with two actions uses two. The more payments you process, the faster you get through the free plan's 100 tasks a month, so size your plan on your payment volume.
03Do PayPlus triggers start a Zap instantly?
Yes. All three PayPlus triggers are instant: PayPlus tells Zapier the moment the event happens, and the Zap starts right away whatever your plan. Many other apps use polling triggers, which Zapier checks on a timer, every 15 minutes on the free plan. That grid does not apply here. In the editor, a Zap built on a PayPlus trigger shows a lightning bolt, which confirms it is instant. For a payment flow this matters: a charge notification or an order preparation starts without waiting for the next check.
04What does it take to connect PayPlus to Zapier?
A PayPlus account, plus access to the data the Zap will read if it belongs to someone else. The connection is made from the Apps page of your Zapier account: add a connection, search for PayPlus, sign in to PayPlus in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. From then on, every Zap that starts from PayPlus reuses that same connection. Nothing else is needed on the PayPlus side for the triggers: none of the three asks for a required setting, so once connected you can pick an event straight away.
05What is the difference between New Approval and New Charge?
An approval holds the money, a charge takes it. New Approval fires when a card authorization succeeds: the funds are reserved on the customer's card, but nothing has been charged yet. New Charge fires when a payment is actually taken. Use New Approval to get moving early, for instance to prepare an order. Use New Charge for anything that records money received, like a sales log or an accounting entry. Mixing them up is the most common way a PayPlus Zap ends up reporting revenue you have not collected.
06What if the PayPlus operation you need is not available?
Then Zapier cannot do it with PayPlus, and the gap is wide: there is no action and no search. A Zap cannot create a charge, issue an invoice, refund a payment or look up an existing transaction in PayPlus. It can only react to new approvals, charges and invoices, then act in other apps. If your process needs to write into PayPlus, that step stays manual there, or you would have to check whether another automation tool offers it. Compare the three triggers on this page with your process before building anything.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for PayPlus?
Decide on coverage, not on reputation. On Zapier, PayPlus gives you three instant triggers, so speed does not depend on your plan, and a two-step Zap runs on the free plan. The limit is just as clear: nothing can be written back into PayPlus. If your need is to send payment events to other tools, that is enough. If you also need to act inside PayPlus, check whether another tool's PayPlus connector offers those operations, and how it bills each run, before choosing.
