Canva Training in the UK: the 7 best courses in 2026, by profile

Live one-day classes or self-paced certificates: a ranking built for UK teams, with two US options that publish a price, to tell you which fits your team and what it costs.

The short answer. For a live day with Canva's AI tools and four weeks of support, Media Training Ltd (£399 + VAT, London or live online). On a public sector or charity budget, Happy (£330 + VAT, £280 for councils, £220 for charities; book a private session). For a certified Canva partner, Jellyfish Training (£499 + VAT). In the US, ONLC: two days, $795. For 32 live hours, igmGuru ($799). Self-paced certificate: Coursera's Canva Essentials. Basics: the free Canva Design School.

This ranking is built for UK buyers; the buyer's guide explains why the US side is thin. The key finding: there is no industry-recognized Canva certification, only certificates of attendance or completion.

Prices read on the providers' official pages in 2026. UK prices exclude VAT. No spot is sponsored. How to read the scores: each one is the average of five criteria out of 5, including value for money and team fit, where no course ticks every box; a score between 3.5 and 4 means a course that is solid on the essentials, with one or two clear limits that its review spells out.

1
Best live Canva training day, AI tools included

Media Training Ltd · Canva Design Basics

4.0/5

Media Training Ltd's Canva Design Basics is the most complete one-day outline we read. It starts with the interface and the template library, then the difference between print and social media, cropping and editing images, type and grids, effects, and building documents for print. It covers Canva's AI tools by name, "Magic Write, Magic Edit and Magic Design", and ends with editing and exporting video.

The day runs live online or at the Islington centre in London. You leave with a certificate of attendance and 28 days of helpdesk support, which is the detail that sets it apart: the questions come when you are back at your desk. Private team courses are "built around your own files and brand". The course page shows 9.4 out of 10 over 170 reviews; it is the provider's site, so read it as a signal, not proof.

Standout features
  • Canva's AI tools covered by name: Magic Write, Magic Edit, Magic Design
  • 28 days of helpdesk support after the day
  • Private courses built on your own files and brand
  • 7-day cancellation policy
+Pros
  • ✓The broadest one-day outline, from print to video
  • ✓Support after the course, rare at this price
  • ✓Live online or in person
−Cons
  • ✗A certificate of attendance only, no recognized certification
  • ✗UK only: prices in pounds, plus VAT
  • ✗Reviews are published on the provider's own site
Verdict

The best choice for a UK team that wants to be productive on Canva in one day, AI included. On a public sector or charity budget, Happy costs less.

2
Best instructor-led Canva training in the US

ONLC Training Centers · Canva Introduction Course

3.8/5

ONLC runs hands-on, instructor-led Canva Introduction classes at its nationwide locations, or remotely through what it calls Remote Classroom Instruction. The outline is practical: setting up Canva on desktop and mobile, discovering and editing templates, tools and features for elements and images, designing eye-catching graphics, downloading and sharing, and printing. Sessions run over two consecutive days.

The fee is $795. Group and private classes, onsite or online, are quoted on request. No certificate is mentioned, and there is no public funding scheme for a Canva class in the US: your employer's training budget pays.

Standout features
  • Instructor-led, at nationwide locations or remote
  • Same live class in person or through Remote Classroom Instruction
  • Private group classes on quote
+Pros
  • ✓The clearest live option for a US team
  • ✓ONLC says it can deliver the class for your group
  • ✓A practical outline, printing included
−Cons
  • ✗No certificate mentioned on the page
  • ✗The outline does not mention Canva's AI tools
  • ✗No total number of hours stated, only the two-day schedule
  • ✗$795 for an introduction level
Verdict

The clearest live pick in the US, with a published price and public dates. If your team needs AI features, ask ONLC before booking, since the outline doesn't list them.

3
Best Canva training for public sector and charities

Happy · Canva 1 Day Training Course

3.7/5

Happy's Canva course is built around brand consistency: designing materials from scratch or from templates, applying brand colours, logos and styles, then building templates, brand kits and shortcuts your team can reuse. It lasts one day and ends with a certificate of attendance. Right now Happy lists no upcoming public dates: email to register interest, or book a private group. Public seats are designed for Windows users; Mac users should book a private group or mention it when booking online.

The pricing is the most transparent we found: £330 per person plus VAT, a discounted £280 for public sector organisations such as councils, and £220 for charities. With three or more learners, Happy tailors the content to your team and runs it remotely, at your workplace or at its HQ in Aldgate, Central London. Happy holds 4.7 out of 5 in customer reviews across all its courses.

Standout features
  • The lowest published per-person rates of the live days
  • Discounted rates for councils and charities
  • Tailored content from three learners
  • Brand kits and templates at the core of the day
  • Video, music and animated elements covered in the outline
+Pros
  • ✓Clear prices, with discounts written on the page
  • ✓Built around your own brand
  • ✓Strong customer reviews across Happy's courses
−Cons
  • ✗No AI tools listed in the outline
  • ✗No public dates scheduled at the time of writing: register interest by email or book a private session
  • ✗A certificate of attendance only
  • ✗Reviews cover all Happy courses, not Canva alone
Verdict

The best value for a UK public body or charity. If your team needs Canva's AI tools, Media Training names them for £69 more.

4
Best Canva training from a certified Canva partner

Jellyfish Training · Canva Essentials for Your Design Needs

3.6/5

Jellyfish Training is a certified Canva partner in Canva's partner directory, a status its course page does not repeat. Its one-day Canva Essentials covers design principles, template customisation, text and photo editing, branding for print and web, social media, animation, and "Magic Studio tools: Magic Design, Magic Resize, Magic Edit and Magic Erase". It runs from 10am to 5pm; the public dates on the UK page are live online, and the page also lists in-person and private formats. To get the most out of it, the UK page says you should have access to a paid Canva account.

You leave with a certificate of attendance. A sister course, Design Smarter with Canva: AI, Data & Interactive Tools, goes further on AI. One trap for US buyers: on Jellyfish's US site, the course is sold as private training only, through a call, with no per-person price. The £499 + VAT public seat is on the UK page.

Standout features
  • Certified Canva partner, listed in Canva's partner directory
  • Magic Design, Magic Resize, Magic Edit and Magic Erase, animation and branding in one day
  • A follow-up course on AI, data and interactive tools
  • Live online, in-person or private
+Pros
  • ✓The partner status reassures a buyer
  • ✓The broadest topic list after Media Training
  • ✓A clear next step with the sister course
−Cons
  • ✗The most expensive live day in the ranking: £499 + VAT
  • ✗In the US, private training only, with no public price
  • ✗No rating read on the course page
  • ✗A paid Canva account is required to get the most out of the day (UK page)
Verdict

A solid choice when the Canva partner badge matters to your buyer. On price alone, Media Training covers similar ground for £100 less.

Best long live Canva course, 32 hours

igmGuru · Canva Training

3.6/5

igmGuru sells its Canva Training in US dollars as 32 hours of live, instructor-led sessions, "not just pre-recorded videos you watch alone", plus self-paced material. Sessions are recorded so you can revise later. The outline runs over 13 lessons, and lesson 12, "Canva AI and Magic Studio", covers Magic Write, Design, Media, Edit and Eraser, along with AI-generated images and presentations.

The online classroom program costs $799 and one-on-one training $899, both with a money-back guarantee stated on the page. You leave with an igmGuru Course Completion Certificate, not an accredited credential. The company behind it is IGM Technologies Private Limited, an online provider whose phone line is listed in India rather than the US: check that the session times fit your time zone. For companies, the page mentions a customized training delivery model and flexible schedules, without a published group price. We found no star rating on the course page.

Standout features
  • 32 hours of live, instructor-led training
  • A full lesson on Canva AI and Magic Studio
  • Session recordings to revise
  • Money-back guarantee stated on the page
+Pros
  • ✓Far more live hours than any one-day class in this ranking
  • ✓Canva's AI tools covered in depth
  • ✓A one-on-one option at $899
−Cons
  • ✗Not a US training center: confirm session times in your time zone
  • ✗Course completion certificate only, no accreditation
  • ✗No rating shown on the course page
  • ✗Group pricing on request only
Verdict

Worth a look if one day is not enough and you want a long live course with AI included. For a single instructor-led day in the US, ONLC is simpler.

6
Best self-paced Canva certificate

Coursera · Canva Essentials Professional Certificate

3.5/5

Canva Essentials is a 13-course series on Coursera, at beginner level, meant to take about four weeks at ten hours a week. It is offered by Coursera itself, with instructors described as "Professionals from the Industry", not by Canva. More than 25,000 learners have enrolled, and the series holds 4.5 out of 5 from 87 reviews. You can enroll for free to look around, and the full series is included with Coursera Plus: its price is shown at checkout, in local currency, and Coursera often runs promotions on the annual plan, so check it before you buy.

At the end you get a shareable certificate. That is the strongest proof in this ranking for a self-paced course, but it is still a platform certificate, not an accreditation. Reviews flag two weak points: some videos show an older Canva interface, and some learners find the directions unclear and the certificate fee hard to justify.

Standout features
  • 13 courses, the deepest self-paced curriculum we found
  • Shareable certificate at the end
  • Enroll for free to preview
  • More than 25,000 learners enrolled
+Pros
  • ✓Long and structured, for real depth
  • ✓Your own pace, around your job
  • ✓A certificate you can show
−Cons
  • ✗Some videos show an older Canva interface
  • ✗No live instructor, and some instructions are reported as unclear
  • ✗Built for individuals, not for training a team on its brand
Verdict

The best self-paced route if you want a certificate to show. For a team that must ship on-brand designs next week, a live day does more.

7
Best Canva course if your company already has LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning · Canva Essential Training

3.4/5

Canva Essential Training is LinkedIn Learning's main Canva course, taught by Nick Brazzi. It runs 2 hours 23 minutes and covers the whole editor in seven chapters: creating and managing a design project, the core design tools, AI features for making designs, working on designs in a team, managing your brand, specific types of designs and the Canva mobile app.

It is sold inside a LinkedIn Learning subscription, with a one-month free trial, and ends with a shareable certificate of completion. That certificate proves you watched the course, nothing more. There is no instructor to ask and no outline built around your own brand, which is why it ranks behind the live days.

Standout features
  • A chapter on Canva's AI features
  • Chapters on team work and brand management
  • Shareable certificate of completion
+Pros
  • ✓Short: one afternoon covers the editor
  • ✓Free if your company already has licences
  • ✓Team and brand chapters, useful for a company
−Cons
  • ✗No instructor and no work on your own files
  • ✗Sold only inside a subscription, no per-course price
  • ✗A platform certificate, not an accreditation
Verdict

A free first step if your company already pays for LinkedIn Learning. For a team that must ship on-brand designs, a live day does more.

Learning path

Learn Canva: the path, from basics to advanced

A paid course is not always the first step. Here is the order we recommend to a professional starting from zero, free resources included, with the point where paying starts to make sense.

01

Start free with Canva Design School

Official

Canva Design School is the publisher's own set of free courses. It is a good starting point for one person using templates. It is not an accredited credential: treat any certificate as a nice extra.

Price
Free
02

Add a free video course if you want a guided thread

Free

Canva's YouTube channel holds hours of tutorials, and Udemy lists free Canva introductions alongside its paid courses. This is enough for one person who designs now and then. It is not enough for a team that must roll out one brand kit, or for a manager who needs proof of attendance.

Individuals
03

Build your brand kit and three shared templates

Practice

The business skill is not one nice design, it is ten people producing consistent ones. Set up a brand kit (logo, colours, fonts), then three templates the whole team reuses: a social post, a deck, a print document. If your company has a Canva team account, Canva publishes free onboarding guides by role and an admin onboarding series. Still unsure Canva is the right tool? Read our page on switching from Canva before you spend a training budget.

04

Pay for a live day when your team hits the same walls

Paid

A live day pays off when several people lose time on the same things: templates, multi-page documents, print exports, video, AI tools. In the UK, Happy costs £330 + VAT, Media Training £399 + VAT, Jellyfish £499 + VAT. In the US, ONLC charges $795. With three or more learners, ask for a private session: Happy tailors the content from three people, and Media Training builds the day around your own files.

05

Take a long self-paced path only if you need a certificate

Self-paced

Coursera's Canva Essentials is a 13-course series that takes about four weeks at ten hours a week, and ends with a shareable certificate. It makes sense if you want something to show on a profile or CV. For day-to-day work on your team's brand, the effort is out of proportion: a live day gets you there faster.

Buyer's guide

How to choose your Canva training in 2026

Before comparing outlines, answer three questions: who pays (you or your employer), how many people need training, and what you want to produce (regular social posts, on-brand documents, video). Canva training falls into three families: the live one-day class with an instructor (£330 to £499 + VAT in the UK, $795 in the US), the self-paced certificate (Coursera, LinkedIn Learning), and the free lessons. None of them leads to an accredited certification, so choose on outcome, not on the word "certified".

Your employer pays

There is no public funding scheme for a Canva course in the US, so it comes out of a training budget. If your employer runs a written educational assistance program under Section 127, it can reimburse up to $5,250 a year tax-free; the program must exist in writing first. In the UK, some local councils run free Canva sessions funded by regional programmes or Skills Bootcamps, restricted by area: check your council before paying. In the UK, a one-day Canva course is usually paid from the employer's training budget as staff development. Ask the provider for its public sector or charity rate (Happy publishes both), and group three or more learners into a private session to cut the cost per head.

You train a team

For one or two people, public seats are enough: £330 + VAT at Happy, £399 + VAT at Media Training. From three learners, ask for a private session: Happy tailors the content, Media Training builds the day around your own files and brand, ONLC and Jellyfish quote private classes. A private day on your own templates is what makes the training stick. On a small London budget, City Lit runs short in-person Canva workshops at its Keeley Street centre, from £79 to £269 a session (lower senior and concession rates), most of them priced £149 to £159: good for one person on a single topic, not a full course for a team, so we did not rank them.

You want Canva's AI tools

Check that the outline names them. Media Training covers Magic Write, Magic Edit and Magic Design, Jellyfish covers Magic Design, Magic Resize, Magic Edit and Magic Erase, and LinkedIn Learning includes AI features. ONLC and Happy do not list them: ask before you book.

UK first, a thin US offer

UK buyers come first here: Media Training, Happy and Jellyfish sell public seats in pounds, plus VAT, and run live online days you can also join from abroad. In the US, AGI Training (American Graphics Institute) runs a flagship live Canva programme, but its price is not published on a page we can cite, so it is not ranked; among the courses we ranked, ONLC is the one US training center with a published fee and public dates; Jellyfish's US page sells private training only, through a call, with no per-person price. We kept igmGuru for one reason: it is the only ranked provider selling 32 hours of live instructor-led Canva training, with a one-on-one option at $899 and a customised corporate delivery on request. We also looked at Acuity Training in London and Guildford and Noble Desktop. Without a price, duration and outline we could check on their own Canva pages, we left them out rather than guess: ask them for a quote and compare it with the ranked courses. So the US side is thin, with ONLC as the only US training center ranked and igmGuru as a dollar-priced remote option.

You learn alone on a small budget

Start with Canva Design School and a free Udemy introduction. Paid Canva courses are also on Udemy, the big name for the query "canva course": Ronny Hermosa's Canva Master Course is one of the best known, and Udemy prices swing with its frequent sales. We left Udemy out of the ranking: each course there belongs to its own instructor, and its prices move with each sale, so there is no single offer to rank. If your company already pays for LinkedIn Learning, Canva Essential Training is the next step. Pay for Coursera's certificate only if you need something to show.

You read "best Canva courses" lists

Many of them are built around affiliate offers for Udemy, Coursera or Skillshare, and ignore live corporate classes. Look for the per-person price, the number of hours and what is actually delivered at the end: a list that gives none of the three won't help you buy.

Why LinkedIn Learning ranks last

LinkedIn Learning's Canva Essential Training is one of the most visible Canva courses: 2 hours 23 minutes, with a chapter on AI features and a shareable certificate of completion. We ranked it seventh because it is a short video course sold inside a platform subscription: there is no instructor to ask, no outline built for your team and no per-course price. If your company already pays for LinkedIn Learning, use it as a free first step before a live day.
  • Read what is delivered: certificate of attendance, platform certificate, or nothing
  • Distrust any "Canva certification" sold as a credential
  • Check that the outline names Canva's AI tools if you need them
  • Ask whether a paid Canva account is required on the day
  • Compare a private quote with the price of several public seats
  • Check when a video course was last updated: Canva's interface changes often
  • Confirm the UK price is per person and plus VAT
FAQ · 8 questions

Canva training · FAQ

  • Is there an official Canva certification?

No accredited one. Canva Design School offers free courses from the publisher, not an accreditation. Live providers such as Media Training, Happy and Jellyfish give a certificate of attendance, and Coursera and LinkedIn Learning give platform certificates. Anyone selling a "Canva certification" as a credential is overstating it. Ask what exactly you get, and from whom.

  • How much does Canva training cost?

From $0 to about $900. Canva Design School is free. LinkedIn Learning is part of a subscription, with a one-month free trial. A live day costs £330 + VAT at Happy (£280 for councils, £220 for charities), £399 + VAT at Media Training (£349 or £379 + VAT on some dates) and £499 + VAT at Jellyfish in the UK. In the US, AGI Training (American Graphics Institute) is a well-known live option but its price is not published on a page we can cite, so check it by quote; ONLC's two-day Canva Introduction costs $795, and igmGuru's 32-hour live course costs $799 in a class or $899 one-to-one. Some workshops also ask for a paid Canva account.

  • Can my employer pay for Canva training?

Yes, from its training budget. There is no public funding scheme for a Canva course in the US. An employer with a written Section 127 educational assistance program can reimburse up to $5,250 a year tax-free, but only if the program is in place first. In the UK, some councils offer free local Canva sessions funded by regional programmes or Skills Bootcamps, limited to residents or businesses of the area. In the UK, a one-day Canva course is usually paid from the employer's training budget as staff development. Ask the provider for its public sector or charity rate (Happy publishes both), and group three or more learners into a private session to cut the cost per head.

  • How long does it take to learn Canva?

An afternoon for the basics, one day to work on your own, and about four weeks for a full certificate path. LinkedIn Learning's Canva Essential Training runs 2 hours 23 minutes. A live course is one day at Media Training, Happy or Jellyfish, two days of sessions at ONLC. Coursera's Canva Essentials takes about four weeks at ten hours a week. The trap is the long self-paced path next to a full-time job: book a fixed slot each week.

  • Is a Canva course worth it?

For one person who designs now and then, free lessons are usually enough. A paid course is worth it when a team loses time on the same problems, or must apply one brand to everything it ships. Then a live day on your own files pays back fast. Media Training adds 28 days of helpdesk, which helps once you are back on your own files.

  • Can you train a whole team on our brand kit?

Yes. Happy tailors the content from three learners and runs it remotely, at your workplace or in London. Media Training builds private courses around your own files and brand. ONLC and Jellyfish quote private group classes. Ask for both prices, several public seats and one private day, and compare: from three people, the private day is often the better deal.

  • Do I need Canva Pro for a Canva course?

Not always, but read the requirements. Some workshops ask you to bring your own paid Canva account: Jellyfish's UK page says you should have access to a paid Canva account to get the most out of its day. If your company has a Canva team account, get access before the course so you can practice on your brand kit from day one.

  • Which Canva course covers the AI tools?

Media Training covers Magic Write, Magic Edit and Magic Design in its one-day course. Jellyfish covers Magic Design, Magic Resize, Magic Edit and Magic Erase, and has a follow-up course on AI, data and interactive tools. LinkedIn Learning's Canva Essential Training includes AI features, but was released in 2023. ONLC's and Happy's outlines do not list AI: ask before you book.
