Google Analytics Course: the 5 best paid GA4 courses in 2026

Curriculum, price, hours, Tag Manager, BigQuery and certificate: we compared the paid GA4 courses specialists actually recommend, and what the free ones leave out.

The short answer. If you need to set up GA4 properly, end to end, take Analytics Mania ($499, 14 hours, beginner to advanced; add its GTM for Beginners course in a $649 bundle). If you mostly need to read reports and build them for your team, Loves Data is the best value ($225, 9+ hours, rated 4.9/5, more than 15,000 students trained). If you want a self-paced course with answers from real instructors, Noble Desktop ($650, 12 hours, free retake within a year). If your team needs analytics beyond GA4, CXL ($999 for its Digital Analytics Minidegree). And once the interface is not enough, Simmer teaches GA4 data in BigQuery (699 €).

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is Google's free tool for measuring what visitors do on your site: where they come from, what they view, what makes them buy or fill in a form. We compared the curricula, prices, hours and certificates of the paid courses that show up in GA4 recommendations, and checked what Google's own free training covers. The key takeaway: the free Google certification is a good start, but it skips tracking plans, Tag Manager depth and BigQuery. That gap is what you pay for.

Best Google Analytics course for a full GA4 setup

Analytics Mania · Google Analytics 4 Course

3.9/5

At Analytics Mania, Julius Fedorovicius built a 14-hour GA4 course that runs from beginner to advanced. The angle is implementation: how GA4 events work (every visitor action is an event in GA4), how to configure them, and how to check and use the data afterwards.

The price is $499 one-time, plus taxes where they apply, or four payments of $133. You get lifetime access, free updates and a 30-day money-back guarantee, and a completion certificate when you finish. The page is upfront about one limit: the course does not explain how to work with BigQuery or query data there. For that, look at Simmer. Tag Manager is taught in a separate course, GTM for Beginners, sold with this one as a $649 bundle. For a team, the page says pricing gets better per extra member: $100 per user for this course, $150 for the bundle.

Standout features
  • 14 hours from beginner to advanced
  • GA4 + GTM for Beginners bundle at $649
  • Lifetime access and free updates
  • 30-day money-back guarantee
+Pros
  • ✓A complete GA4 implementation course, from events to checking the data
  • ✓An instructor known for GA4 and GTM tutorials
  • ✓Team pricing: $100 per extra member for this course, $150 for the bundle, or $25 added to each monthly payment
−Cons
  • ✗No BigQuery querying, as the page says
  • ✗Tag Manager is a separate course: budget $649 for both
  • ✗A completion certificate, not an industry credential
Verdict

The pick if you are the person who sets up and maintains GA4. If you mainly read reports, Loves Data covers that for less than half the price.

Best value Google Analytics course for reporting

Loves Data · Google Analytics 4 Course

3.9/5

Benjamin Mangold's Loves Data course packs more than 90 short video lessons into more than nine hours. It covers GA4 reports and configuration, and an advanced module goes into Google Tag Manager, DebugView (the screen that shows the events your site sends in real time), internal traffic filtering and cross-domain tracking, the setting that keeps one visitor counted once when they move between two of your domains.

The price is $225 one-time. The certificate of completion is earned by finishing the course and an assignment, which is more than a click-through certificate. The course shows a 4.9/5 rating and more than 15,000 students trained.

Standout features
  • $225 for more than 9 hours of lessons
  • rated 4.9/5, more than 15,000 students trained
  • Certificate tied to a completed assignment
  • GTM, DebugView and cross-domain tracking in the advanced module
+Pros
  • ✓The best price per hour in the ranking
  • ✓Short lessons that are easy to fit into a work week
  • ✓A real assignment before the certificate
−Cons
  • ✗About 9 hours: lighter on implementation than Analytics Mania
  • ✗No BigQuery
  • ✗No live instructor
Verdict

The best first paid course for most marketers. If you have to own the tracking setup, Analytics Mania goes deeper.

3
Best Google Analytics course with instructor support

Noble Desktop · Google Analytics Bootcamp (self-paced)

3.6/5

Noble Desktop's self-paced Google Analytics Bootcamp includes 12 hours of project-based training in 21 videos, focused on GA4 and its reports. What sets it apart from the other self-paced courses is support: answers from real instructors, and a free retake within one year if you want to go through the material again.

Full tuition is $650, due before the class starts. You get a verified digital certificate of completion at the end. That is a format many companies are used to paying for, which helps when you ask your manager to approve the expense.

Standout features
  • Answers from real instructors
  • Free retake within one year
  • Verified digital certificate
  • Project-based training
+Pros
  • ✓Human support, rare in a self-paced course
  • ✓A format easy to get approved as employer-sponsored training
  • ✓A second run at no cost
−Cons
  • ✗Nearly three times the price of Loves Data
  • ✗Focused on GA4 reports: no BigQuery
  • ✗12 hours, less than Analytics Mania for more money
Verdict

Worth it when your employer pays and you want someone to answer your questions. If you pay yourself, Loves Data or Analytics Mania give more for less.

4
Best Google Analytics program for an analytics team

CXL · Digital Analytics Minidegree

3.6/5

CXL's Digital Analytics Minidegree is not a GA4 course alone: it places GA4 inside a full analytics program, with Google Tag Manager at an advanced level and BigQuery in its catalogue. Its instructors include Simo Ahava, co-founder of Simmer, Chris Mercer, co-founder of Measurement Marketer, and Tim Wilson.

You can buy the program alone for $999, or access it through a CXL subscription. It is entirely self-paced: the time to finish depends on how many study hours you put in each week. Completing it earns a CXL Digital Analytics Minidegree certificate.

Standout features
  • Instructors include Simo Ahava, Chris Mercer and Tim Wilson
  • GA4, advanced GTM and BigQuery in one program
  • Available alone or with a subscription
+Pros
  • ✓The broadest analytics curriculum in the ranking
  • ✓A certificate from a known brand in growth marketing
  • ✓A subscription can cover a whole team
−Cons
  • ✗The most expensive option at $999
  • ✗Too broad if you only need GA4 basics
  • ✗No fixed schedule: easy to stall without discipline
Verdict

The right choice for a team that wants to grow analytics skills beyond GA4. For GA4 alone, Analytics Mania or Loves Data is enough.

5
Best Google Analytics course for BigQuery

Simmer · Mastering GA4 With Google BigQuery

3.5/5

Simmer's bundle groups three courses with task-based, bite-size lessons around GA4 export data, Google BigQuery (Google's data warehouse, where you can export GA4 raw data for analysis the interface cannot do) and Google Dataform, a tool to organise SQL transformations. It is the next step after a GA4 course, not a replacement for one.

The price is 699 € one-time, with lifetime access. The 30-day refund only applies once you have completed all of the course content, so treat it as a safety net, not a free trial. You earn a verified Simmer certificate for each course you complete, up to three. More than 3,100 students have taken Simmer courses.

Standout features
  • The only course in the ranking focused on GA4 in BigQuery
  • SQL and Dataform included
  • Up to three Simmer certificates
  • 30-day refund once all content is completed
+Pros
  • ✓Fills the gap the other courses leave
  • ✓Task-based lessons you apply right away
  • ✓Lifetime access
−Cons
  • ✗Not for beginners: you need GA4 first
  • ✗Priced in euros, so the dollar cost moves
  • ✗SQL takes time to learn on top of the course
Verdict

The course to take once GA4 reports are not enough. Start with Analytics Mania or Loves Data if you are not there yet.

Learning path

Learn Google Analytics: the path from basics to advanced

A paid course is not always the first step. Here is the order we suggest for a professional starting from zero, free resources included, with the point where paying starts to make sense.

01

Start with Google's free training and certification

Free

Google's Analytics Academy, on Skillshop, offers four free courses and a Google Analytics certification you earn by passing its assessment. It is a good way to learn the vocabulary and the interface. It does not go far into tracking plans, attribution or BigQuery, which is where paid courses earn their price.

02

Practise in the GA4 demo account

Google's GA4 demo account lets you explore reports and events without touching your company's setup. Spend an hour there before any paid course: you will arrive with real questions instead of discovering the menus.

When GA4 is part of your job, a structured course saves weeks. Loves Data ($225) is the best value; Noble Desktop ($650) adds instructor answers if your employer pays.

Learn Google Tag Manager

Key

Tag Manager is how you track clicks, forms and purchases without a developer for every change. Analytics Mania sells it as a separate course (GA4 + GTM bundle, $649); Loves Data covers it in its advanced module. If you are weighing other tag managers, our page on Google Tag Manager alternatives compares them.

Move to BigQuery when the interface is not enough

Advanced

To join GA4 with your CRM or go past report limits, you export raw data to BigQuery and query it with SQL. Simmer's bundle (699 €) is built for that step, and CXL's minidegree touches it. Go there with a concrete question to answer.

Buyer's guide

How to choose a Google Analytics course in 2026

Before you compare curricula, answer three questions: who pays (you or your employer), how many people need training, and what you must do with GA4 (read reports, implement tracking, or analyse raw data). Once you have those answers, the right course usually picks itself. Most paid courses here are lifetime access, and several offer a 30-day refund. Read the conditions, though: Simmer only refunds you once you have finished all the content.

Your employer pays

Ask for employer-sponsored training through your learning budget. A course with a verified certificate and instructor support, like Noble Desktop, or a known brand like CXL, is usually easier to get approved. Send the course page and the price with your request.

You pay yourself

Start free with Google, then buy Loves Data at $225. Move to Analytics Mania only if you have to own the tracking setup.

You train a team

Analytics Mania publishes its team price: $100 per extra member for the GA4 course, $150 for the bundle, or $25 added to each monthly payment. CXL sells team plans for 2 or more people, with tools to track progress, but publishes no team price, and its live courses and workshops come only with annual plans. Noble Desktop offers private training onsite, built from its existing courses, and group class vouchers to send employees to its open classes. Or buy the same course for everyone so the team shares one vocabulary. Agree on a tracking plan as part of the training.

You want a course on fixed dates with a trainer

Every course ranked here can be taken self-paced. If your team wants a trainer live, you have two options. Noble Desktop also runs its Google Analytics Bootcamp as a live class, in NYC or live online: $650, 12 hours of live, project-based training, a free retake within a year when a seat is open, and private training onsite for a team. Or look at the DMA's Google Analytics course in the UK: two days online, 9:30 to 5, on fixed dates, for £649 for members or £999 for non-members (prices exclude VAT), with 14 CPD hours. We left it out of the ranking for two reasons. Parts of its syllabus still teach Universal Analytics features, like Views, view filters and importing Goals into AdWords, which GA4 no longer has. And it runs on set dates for the UK market. If you book it, ask the DMA which modules have been rebuilt for GA4.

You keep seeing Udemy and Coursera

Coursera's Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce certificate is a general marketing program: Google Analytics is one tool among many, taught in one of its eight courses, on a $49 monthly subscription (Coursera estimates most learners finish for under $300). Take it if you want the whole marketing picture, not a GA4 setup. Udemy is a marketplace of independent instructors: each course has its own author, syllabus and update pace, so there is no single Udemy offer to compare with a provider that publishes one price and one syllabus. Pick a Udemy course only after checking it covers GA4, not Universal Analytics, and how many hours it really runs. Reliablesoft, often first on Google, sells its GA course inside a $127 bundle of 21 marketing courses: cheap, but too thin on GA4 to rank here.

Your company already has LinkedIn Learning

GA4 Essential Training by Corey Koberg is included in the subscription. It is a good overview before you pay for a deeper course.

You are not sure GA4 is the right tool

Check before you spend a training budget. Our page on Google Analytics alternatives compares other web analytics tools.
  • Check the course is built on GA4, not Universal Analytics: old UA courses are still on sale
  • Look at what the certificate proves: a completion certificate, an assignment-based one, or Google's own certification
  • See whether Tag Manager is covered, how deep, and whether it is a separate course
  • Check whether BigQuery is included or a separate course
  • Check that campaign tracking with UTM tags is taught: it is how GA4 tells your newsletter, ads and social posts apart
  • Read the refund policy closely: several courses offer 30 days, some only after you finish every lesson
  • Do Google's free training first: you will get more from a paid course
FAQ · 8 questions

Google Analytics Course · FAQ

  • What does the Google Analytics certification cover?

Google's Analytics Academy offers four free courses on Skillshop, and its Google Analytics certification is granted when you pass the assessment. It proves you know the tool. It does not cover tracking plans or BigQuery in depth, which is why many people add a paid course afterwards.

  • How much does a Google Analytics course cost?

From free to about $999. Google's training is free. Loves Data costs $225, Analytics Mania $499, Noble Desktop $650, Simmer 699 € and CXL's minidegree $999. Check the refund policy: Analytics Mania offers 30 days, and Simmer 30 days only once you have completed 100% of the content.

  • How long does it take to learn GA4?

A few hours to read reports, a working week of evenings to set it up properly. The paid courses here run from 9+ hours (Loves Data) to 14 hours (Analytics Mania), and BigQuery adds a full course on top. Tip: practise in Google's demo account first.

  • Is a Udemy or Coursera Google Analytics course enough?

For a first look, often yes; for owning a GA4 setup, rarely. Coursera's Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce certificate costs $49 a month and covers Google Analytics in one of its eight courses, next to SEO, email and e-commerce. Udemy courses are cheap, but each one is a different instructor, so check the curriculum is GA4 and how many hours it really runs. If you have to implement tracking, a dedicated course like Analytics Mania or Loves Data goes much further.

  • Can my employer pay for a Google Analytics course?

Often, yes, through your company's learning budget. In the US, an employer's written educational assistance plan (section 127) can pay up to $5,250 per year in 2026 that you do not pay income tax on (the IRS indexes that cap to inflation from 2027), and the courses do not have to be work-related. Bring the course page, the price and what you will be able to do afterwards. A verified certificate (Noble Desktop) or a known program (CXL) helps the request.

  • Do I need Google Tag Manager to use GA4?

Not for basic page tracking, but yes as soon as you track clicks, forms or purchases. Analytics Mania sells it as a separate course (GA4 + GTM bundle, $649), and Loves Data covers it in its advanced module.

  • Which Google Analytics course covers BigQuery?

Simmer's Mastering GA4 With Google BigQuery is built for it, with SQL and Dataform. CXL's minidegree includes BigQuery in its catalogue. Analytics Mania states that its course does not explain how to query data in BigQuery.

  • Is a self-paced course enough, or do I need a live class?

Self-paced is enough if you are disciplined: all five courses here can be taken at your own pace. If you want someone to answer you when you are stuck, Noble Desktop includes answers from real instructors.
