The best landing page builder, ranked by real cost
The sticker price tells you almost nothing. Your bill depends on traffic, A/B testing and domains.
For most small businesses running paid ads, the answer is Swipe Pages: 20,000 visits a month and unlimited pages from $29 a month, billed annually. If A/B testing is your daily job, Unbounce is still the benchmark, as long as you budget for its Experiment plan. If your page exists to grow an email list, Kit puts pages and emails in one place. And if you just need one clean page for next to nothing, Carrd does it for $19 a year.
We compared these tools on what most roundups skip: how many visits your plan accepts before you pay more, which tier unlocks A/B testing, how many domains you can connect, what happens when you cancel, and where your form data goes. Every price comes from the vendor's own pricing page, reviewed in 2026.
The ranking is editorial: a sponsored placement is always labelled on its card, and no affiliate link ever changes a score.

6 landing page builders and what they really cost
The price shown is the first paid plan, billed annually when that is the only price the vendor publishes. The order fits the most common buyer: a small business sending paid traffic to two or three pages and wanting to improve them over time. An agency or a large marketing team will rank them differently, so check the "best for" column.

How we compared and scored
A landing page has one job: turn a visitor into a lead or a customer. So the tool behind it gets judged on two things: does it let you lift that conversion rate, and what does it cost once your traffic climbs. We read each vendor's 2026 pricing page, trial terms and help docs, then went through hundreds of user reviews on forums and review sites to find what goes wrong after you pay.
The scores for Unbounce, Landingi, Instapage and Kit are the ones from our full reviews, so a tool carries the same score everywhere on the site. Swipe Pages and Carrd do not have a full review yet; we scored them on the same grid. We did not open paid accounts for this ranking: we compared the offers, we did not benchmark page speed.

The ranking is editorial: a sponsored placement is always labelled on its card, and no affiliate link ever changes a score.
Swipe Pages
Swipe Pages gets less attention than the big names, which is a shame: its pricing fits real-world use better than anyone else's. Every plan has unlimited pages. The entry plan, Startup, already handles 20,000 visits a month on one domain. Compare that with Unbounce's entry plan at 500 visits and Landingi's at 2,000.
The editor is built mobile-first: you design the phone version alongside the desktop one, so you avoid pages that break on small screens, the number one reason paid social clicks bounce. A/B testing comes with Marketer, at $69 a month billed annually, along with five domains and 50,000 visits. Agency opens unlimited domains, 500,000 visits and client sub-accounts.
Go over your cap and Swipe Pages charges $5 per extra 5,000 visits. The rule is published, so you can budget for it. There is no free plan, but the 14-day trial needs no card.
- 20,000 visits on the entry plan
- Unlimited pages on every plan
- Published overage: $5 per 5,000 visits
- ✓Highest visit cap at this price
- ✓Native mobile-first editing
- ✓Trial without a credit card
- ✗No A/B testing on Startup
- ✗Only annual prices published
- ✗Fewer templates and integrations than Unbounce
The best starting point if you pay for ads: lots of visits for little money. Move to Marketer the day you want to test two versions of a page.
Unbounce
Unbounce made landing pages for paid ads mainstream, and its conversion toolkit is still among the deepest: dynamic text replacement that matches the ad keyword, popups and sticky bars, and AI traffic routing that sends each visitor to the variant most likely to convert. It is also the pricing grid that needs the closest reading.
Starter, at $22 a month billed yearly, is only for trying things out: 500 visits and 5 pages. Build jumps to 20,000 visits and unlimited pages, still without A/B testing. Unlimited A/B tests only arrive with Experiment, at $112 a month yearly or $149 monthly, with 30,000 visits and two domains. Optimize lifts you to 50,000 visits and three domains. Paying yearly saves 25%.
Users raise two recurring complaints: the newer editor feels more rigid than the classic one, and some report charges after cancelling, settled through their bank. Keep written proof that you cancelled.
- Unlimited A/B tests from Experiment
- Dynamic text replacement for Google Ads
- AI routing to the best variant
- ✓The most mature conversion features
- ✓Unlimited pages from Build
- ✓14-day trial with no card
- ✗A/B testing starts at $112/mo
- ✗Starter capped at 500 visits
- ✗Billing complaints after cancellation
The right pick when A/B testing is central to your work and the budget is there. Otherwise you are paying a premium for features you will not use.
Landingi
Landingi has the cheapest entry plan among the dedicated builders here, and one of the easiest editors. The company is based in Poland, inside the EU, and its infrastructure page lists a data protection officer.
Build, at about $29 a month, covers 2,000 visits, 10 active pages, one domain and 5 users. That is tight for a paid campaign: 2,000 visits is fewer than 70 clicks a day. Optimize, at $119 a month billed yearly, moves to 30,000 visits, 100 pages, three domains and adds A/B testing. Higher tiers go to 100,000 visits and beyond with unlimited pages.
Two traps. Each extra domain costs $5 a month, and some users say they were billed for it after leaving: the account stays active until the term ends, which Landingi admits it explained badly. And the 14-day trial shuts off at 200 visits, so do not launch a live campaign on it.
- Cheapest dedicated plan in this ranking
- EU-based vendor
- 5 users on the entry plan
- ✓Quick to learn
- ✓Good value at low traffic
- ✓Several users at no extra cost on Build
- ✗Only 2,000 visits on Build
- ✗Extra domains cost $5/mo each
- ✗Support rated slower than average
Great for starting small. Once your ads pass 70 clicks a day, check Swipe Pages before upgrading to Optimize.
Kit
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) is an email platform first, and that is exactly the point. Your page, your form, your welcome sequence and your stats live in one place, with no connector to maintain and no second subscription.
On Creator, from $39 a month billed monthly for 1,000 subscribers, you add visual automations and two user seats to the unlimited landing pages. The price follows your list size, not your visits: at 5,000 subscribers it reaches $79 a month, at 10,000 it reaches $119. The free Newsletter plan already includes unlimited landing pages and goes up to 10,000 subscribers; Creator adds the automations that follow up with each sign-up.
The limit is clear: for heavily optimized ad campaigns with dynamic text and A/B tests, a dedicated builder does better. For capturing sign-ups and selling digital products, Kit saves you a tool.
- Unlimited landing pages on every plan
- Pricing tied to subscribers, not visits
- Free plan up to 10,000 subscribers
- ✓One bill for email and pages
- ✓Visual automations built in
- ✓Clear pricing with no send limits
- ✗Price climbs fast with your list
- ✗Less conversion depth than a dedicated builder
- ✗Automations need a paid plan
The best pick if your landing page exists to grow a list. No need to pay for a page builder on top of your email tool.
Carrd
Carrd does not play in the same league as the others, and that is why it is here: plenty of people searching for a landing page builder only need a one-column page. Product launch, waitlist, personal page: Carrd gets it live in an hour.
Prices are per year. Pro Lite, at $9 a year, gives you three sites but no custom domain and no forms. The plan to pick is Pro Standard at $19 a year: ten sites, your own domain and forms. Pro Plus, at $49 a year, adds advanced forms across 25 sites.
The limit: no A/B testing, no dynamic pages, few native integrations. For an ad campaign that needs improving week after week, you will want a dedicated builder.
- Billed yearly, not monthly
- Custom domain from $19 a year
- A page live in an hour
- ✓By far the cheapest option here
- ✓Clean mobile layout by default
- ✓Trial without a card
- ✗No A/B testing
- ✗One-column layouts, little design freedom
- ✗Limited integrations
If you need a page rather than a campaign machine, Carrd saves you hundreds of dollars a year.
Instapage
Instapage targets teams that buy a lot of traffic. Its entry plan, Create, costs $79 a month billed yearly or $99 monthly, for 15,000 unique visitors. That is the highest entry ticket in this ranking, and A/B testing is not listed on it: server-side testing comes with Optimize, at $159 a month yearly, with 30,000 visitors and up.
In return, Instapage has the best service reputation of the six: users praise responsive support and quick refunds when they cancel. For a team where every hour of a broken page burns ad spend, that matters.
Watch the trial: it asks for a card and stops at 2,500 visitors. Put the end date in your calendar.
- Server-side A/B testing from Optimize
- Support and refunds praised by users
- 15,000 visitors from Create
- ✓Responsive customer support
- ✓15,000 visitors on the first plan
- ✓Fast refunds reported
- ✗$79/mo minimum billed yearly
- ✗No A/B testing listed on Create
- ✗Trial requires a credit card
Too pricey for a solo marketer, sensible for a team with a serious ad budget that wants someone on the other end of the line.
Five lines on the bill most roundups skip
Two builders with the same headline price can cost you anywhere from one to five times as much in practice. Here are the five things to check, tool by tool, before you pay.
The visit cap
This is the limit that drives the bill. Unbounce Starter stops at 500 visits a month, Landingi Build at 2,000, Instapage Create at 15,000 unique visitors, Swipe Pages Startup at 20,000. Past the cap, Swipe Pages charges $5 per 5,000 extra visits and Unbounce bills overage too. Run the numbers with your monthly ad clicks, not your organic traffic.
The A/B testing tier
A/B testing is why you buy a dedicated builder, and it is almost never on the entry plan. Swipe Pages unlocks it with Marketer ($69/mo yearly), Landingi with Optimize ($119), Unbounce with Experiment ($112 yearly, $149 monthly), Instapage with Optimize ($159 yearly). Carrd and Kit do not offer it.
Domains
Every connected domain is a brand or a client. Unbounce gives you one on Starter and Build, two on Experiment, three on Optimize. Landingi gives one on Build and charges $5 a month per extra domain. Swipe Pages goes from 1 to 5 domains between Startup and Marketer, then unlimited on Agency. Carrd only takes your own domain from Pro Standard.
The way out
The harshest user complaints are not about editors but about billing after leaving: Unbounce and Landingi get them regularly. On an annual plan, the account stays paid until the term ends. Cancel from your account dashboard, save the written confirmation, and remove your card if the tool lets you. Instapage, on the other hand, gets credit for fast refunds.
Your form data
A landing page collects personal data: name, email, sometimes phone. If you collect leads from the EU or California, sign the vendor's data processing agreement, add a clear consent line and link your privacy policy. Landingi is based in the EU; the others are North American vendors. Consent and disclosure stay your job, not the tool's.
- Count your monthly ad clicks and compare them with the plan's visit cap.
- Find the tier where A/B testing unlocks, and ask whether you need it on day one.
- List every domain you will connect, client domains included.
- Use the no-card trial when there is one, and note the end date when a card is required.
- Write down the renewal date the day you pay yearly.
- Sign the data processing agreement before your first form goes live.
Six ways to avoid overpaying for your landing page builder
These tips come from vendor pricing pages and from the mistakes users describe most often on forums.
The tips
Pay monthly until the campaign proves itself
PriceAnnual billing saves 25% at Unbounce and up to 20% at Instapage. But a campaign that flops after two months leaves you with ten months of dead subscription. Start monthly where the vendor allows it, then switch.
- Annual discount
- Up to 25% depending on the tool
Pick the plan on clicks, not on pages
PricePage count is rarely the limit: Unbounce and Swipe Pages make pages unlimited on their first or second plan. The visit cap is what catches you once ads are running. Landingi Build's 2,000 visits work out to barely 67 clicks a day.
- Benchmark
- 2,000 visits, 67 clicks a day
Do not run your live campaign during the trial
TrapLandingi's trial stops at 200 visits, Instapage's at 2,500 visitors. If your campaign runs during the trial, the page can go dark at the worst moment. Use the trial to build and check your pages, then turn ads on once you subscribe.
- Landingi
- Trial ends at 200 visits
Run your first A/B test by hand
HackBefore paying for the tier that unlocks testing, duplicate your page, change the headline, and point two identical ads at the two URLs. Your ad stats tell you the winner. It is rougher than a real test, but it shows whether testing is worth the upgrade.
- Saving
- No upgrade before you need it
Plan your exit the day you buy
ContractPut the renewal date in your calendar a month ahead. Cancel from your dashboard, screenshot the confirmation, and check that no add-on domain is still billed. Most billing disputes users describe with Unbounce and Landingi start with a slip like this.
- Reminder
- One month before renewal
Check what your email tool already includes
HackIf you already pay for Kit, HubSpot or another email platform, landing pages may already be in your plan. For a sign-up page, that is often enough. Keep a dedicated builder for the day you buy traffic in volume.
- Check
- Your current email plan

Landing page builders · FAQ
Can I publish a free landing page on my own domain?
Rarely for free: a custom domain is the first thing free tiers take away. Carrd has a free version and moves to $19 a year to connect your own domain. Kit's free Newsletter plan includes unlimited landing pages for up to 10,000 subscribers. For paid ads, plan on a paid builder: free tiers cap traffic or features quickly. How much do I need to pay to get A/B testing?
Swipe Pages, with Marketer at $69 a month billed yearly. Next come Unbounce Experiment ($112 yearly), Landingi Optimize ($119) and Instapage Optimize ($159 yearly). Before paying for that tier, a manual test with two pages and two ads already tells you whether testing is worth it.What does it cost to go over my visit cap?
You pay extra, or the vendor nudges you to the next plan. Swipe Pages publishes its rate: $5 per 5,000 extra visits. Unbounce also bills overage. During a trial the page can simply stop: Landingi's trial cuts off at 200 visits. Watch the counter as soon as ads go live.Landing page builder or website builder: which do I need?
A landing page has one goal, a website has many. If you need a campaign page that converts and that you test, pick a tool from this ranking. If you need a full site with a blog and several sections, a website builder such as Webflow or WordPress fits better, and you can add campaign pages later. Are these builders GDPR compliant?
The tool gives you the means; compliance is on you. Sign the vendor's data processing agreement, add an unticked consent box and a privacy policy link, and list the tool as a processor. North American vendors transfer data outside the EU, so say so in your policy.Do I need a dedicated builder if I already use Kit or HubSpot?
Not to start. These platforms include landing pages that are good enough for a sign-up page tied to your emails. A dedicated builder pays off when you buy traffic in volume and each conversion point you gain covers the subscription. How do I cancel without paying another month?
Cancel from your dashboard before the renewal date, keep the written confirmation and check add-ons billed separately, such as Landingi's extra domains at $5 a month. On an annual plan, the account stays paid until the term ends: that is normal, not a rogue charge. Can AI build my landing page?
Yes, for a first draft. Several builders now generate a page from a prompt. Treat the result as structure and placeholder copy; always rewrite the headline and the offer in your own words with your own numbers, because that is what drives conversion.
