What is the best marketing quiz maker in 2026?

A good lead-gen quiz asks five to ten questions, gates the result behind an email and drops a qualified lead into your CRM.

A marketing quiz trades a personalized result for contact details. The visitor finds out their personality type, their readiness score or the product that fits them; you get an email address plus every answer they gave. That second part is what makes quizzes worth more than a PDF lead magnet: each answer qualifies the lead before sales ever talks to them. The catch is in the pricing. Some tools shut your quiz off at 100 responses, some keep their logo on your result page, and some bill every extra lead.

The short answer. Interact is the best all-rounder: 500 leads a month for $27 billed yearly. ScoreApp wins for B2B scorecards that end in a sales call. involve.me covers quizzes, calculators and payment forms in one funnel builder. Outgrow gives you the most leads per dollar on its solo plans. Riddle has no lead cap at all and lists EU hosting from its first plan. Typeform is the nicest to fill in and the priciest per response.

Most "best quiz maker" lists you'll find are written by a vendor that ranks itself first. We put every tool on the same footing: cost per lead, what the free plan really allows, and where each one falls short. Looking for a survey tool for the whole marketing team instead? Our survey and quiz tools for marketing teams ranking covers that.

How we scored

How we compared and scored

One question drives this page: which tool should you use to build a quiz that brings in leads? That covers a product-finder quiz for a store, a scored assessment for a consultant, and a personality quiz that grows a newsletter. To make the ranking, a tool has to calculate a score or an outcome, let you ask for the email before showing the result, send the lead to a CRM or email platform, and publish its prices.

We read each vendor's official pricing page, then user reviews on review platforms and the Shopify App Store. We compared the tools on their public pages without opening accounts. Outgrow and Typeform keep the exact score from their full review: one value per tool across the site.

The weights follow what hurts most when you pick wrong. Quiz features weigh the most, because moving a quiz means rebuilding all of its logic. Value comes next, measured per lead rather than on the headline price, then integrations, since without them every lead gets copied by hand.

Best all-rounder

Interact

4.4/5

Interact does one job: quizzes that capture leads. You start from a template, write your questions, and each answer nudges the taker toward one of the outcomes you set up, like "You're a cautious investor" or "This serum fits your skin." Every outcome can map to its own segment in your email tool, which makes follow-up straightforward.

Plans are sized by leads. Free gives you 5 quizzes and 100 leads a month, with no integrations and no analytics. Lite is $27 a month billed yearly for 25 quizzes and 500 leads, and adds basic integrations including Zapier. Growth costs $53 for 50 quizzes and 2,000 leads and removes Interact branding. Pro is $125 for 100 quizzes, 8,000 leads and native connections to HubSpot, Infusionsoft, Maropost and Ontraport.

Run the math: on Lite, each lead costs just over 5 cents. That's about five times cheaper than Typeform at the same volume. Users rate it 4.7 out of 5 across more than 120 reviews and keep coming back to how fast it is to set up.

Where it falls short: the free plan switches your quiz off once it passes 100 responses in a month, and the Interact logo stays until Growth. Reviewers also want more layout control, and a Wix embed issue comes up. Monthly prices aren't written on the pricing page, so check the checkout total before picking month-to-month.

Tip: Free connects to nothing. If you start there, export your leads every week, or move to Lite as soon as the quiz is getting real traffic.

Standout features
  • Personality and product-match quizzes
  • One email segment per outcome
  • Native HubSpot sync on Pro
+Pros
  • ✓500 leads for $27 billed yearly
  • ✓Real free plan with 5 quizzes
  • ✓Quick to set up
−Cons
  • ✗Free quiz shuts off at 100 responses
  • ✗Branding until Growth
  • ✗Limited design customization, per reviews
Verdict

The best place to start for a quiz that grows an email list. If your quiz has to produce a scored B2B diagnosis, ScoreApp goes further.

2
Best for B2B scorecards

ScoreApp

4.1/5

ScoreApp builds scorecards: a questionnaire that returns a score, say on a company's sales readiness, followed by a report written for that score. It's the format that works best in B2B. A prospect who just got 42 out of 100 has a good reason to book a call with the person who can explain it.

Starter is $39 a month, or $351 a year (about $30 a month), for 3 scorecards and 100 responses. Business is $99 ($891 a year) for 10 scorecards, 1,000 responses, 3 users, a custom domain, abandon emails for people who quit halfway, dynamic PDF reports and ad pixels. Pro is $149 ($1,341 a year) for 3,000 responses, 5 users, contact enrichment and split testing between page versions.

User feedback is the strongest in this ranking: 4.8 out of 5 across more than 160 reviews, with real human support mentioned again and again, along with lead quality. The complaints point to occasional bugs and a builder that takes longer to learn than others.

Where it falls short: 100 responses on Starter is tight, and at that volume each lead costs around 30 cents, the same as Typeform. The features that set it apart, PDF reports and abandon emails, sit on Business. There's no trial, only a 14-day refund window.

Tip: the free plan gives you one scorecard and 10 responses. Build your assessment there, have ten existing clients fill it in, and only pay once the questions hold up.

Standout features
  • Scores plus dynamic PDF reports
  • Abandon emails for half-finished quizzes
  • Highly rated human support
+Pros
  • ✓Built for B2B lead qualification
  • ✓Best user reviews in this ranking
  • ✓14-day money-back guarantee
−Cons
  • ✗Only 100 responses on Starter
  • ✗PDF and abandon emails need Business
  • ✗Steeper builder learning curve
Verdict

The pick when your quiz should end in a sales call. For a high-volume consumer quiz, Interact or Outgrow cost far less per lead.

3
Best funnel builder

involve.me

4.1/5

involve.me goes beyond quizzes. It builds whole funnels: a quiz that qualifies, a calculator that quotes a price, a form that takes a payment. For a team that wants one tool for all its interactive pages, it has the widest range here, and reviewers single out its lead scoring.

Pricing is counted in live funnels. Start is $29 a month billed yearly, or $49 monthly, for 3 live funnels and 1 user, with involve.me branding you can't remove. Grow is $69 ($99 monthly) for 5 funnels, 2 users, a custom domain and no branding. Scale costs $139 ($199) for 25 funnels, 5 users and 3 domains. Each extra seat adds $10 a month.

The free plan lets you build, but it stops at 50 submissions or 500 visits a month. Past that, your funnels are locked until the next month starts. Keep that in mind before you point paid ads at a free funnel.

Where it falls short: 3 funnels on Start fill up fast. Reviews are more mixed than ScoreApp's: templates that need reworking, few video tutorials, and a disputed renewal charge. If you pay yearly, set a reminder before the renewal date.

Tip: on Start the branding stays. If a clean result page matters, price Grow straight away instead of upgrading later.

Standout features
  • Quizzes, calculators and payments
  • Lead scoring on every submission
  • Custom domains from Grow
+Pros
  • ✓Widest range of formats
  • ✓Extra seats at $10
  • ✓Clean result pages on Grow
−Cons
  • ✗Forced branding on Start
  • ✗Only 3 live funnels on Start
  • ✗Funnels locked at the free cap
Verdict

The right call when a quiz is one of several interactive pages you need. If all you want is a quiz that fills a list, Interact does it for less.

4
Most leads per dollar

Outgrow

4.0/5

Outgrow made its name with calculators ("How much is this problem costing you?") and also builds quizzes, polls and assessments. Its integrations get the most praise in reviews: HubSpot, Zapier and webhooks. Our full review scores it 4.0 out of 5, with 4.5 for features and 4.4 for support.

On its smaller plans, nobody gives you more leads per dollar. Freelancer Limited is $14 a month billed yearly, or $22 monthly, for 250 leads and 5 content pieces. Freelancer Pro is $25 ($45 monthly) for 1,000 leads and 7 pieces: 2.5 cents a lead. Then come Startup Basic at $35 and Startup Special at $55, and Essentials at $95 ($115 monthly) with 7,500 leads and 3 users.

The free plan is misleading for this use case: its 100 leads a month apply only to forms and surveys, not quizzes. For a quiz, budget at least Freelancer Limited.

Where it falls short: the next step up is steep. After Essentials, Business costs $600 a month billed yearly, $720 monthly. Reviews call it "expensive and pretty," mention paid add-ons, auto-renewals without notice and a builder that sometimes freezes. Freelancer plans are built for one person.

Tip: the 7-day trial unlocks Business with no card. Build your quiz during the trial, then pick the smallest plan that runs it.

Standout features
  • Calculators and quizzes in one tool
  • HubSpot, Zapier and webhook integrations
  • Top-tier trial with no card
+Pros
  • ✓1,000 leads for $25 billed yearly
  • ✓Well-reviewed integrations
  • ✓Support rated 4.4 out of 5
−Cons
  • ✗Free plan can't run a quiz
  • ✗Jump from $95 to $600 billed yearly
  • ✗Auto-renewal complaints
Verdict

The lowest cost per lead for a solo marketer. Once your team grows past 3 people, the jump to Business hurts: look at Interact or involve.me.

No lead cap

Riddle

3.9/5

Riddle comes from online publishing, and it shows: quizzes, polls, personality tests and lists designed to sit inside an article and get shared. Riddle lists EU hosting (Germany, Luxembourg) and ISO 27001 certification from its first plan, with no third-party cookies; on Typeform, choosing Europe is reserved for the Enterprise plan. That matters if you collect leads from European visitors.

Its pricing model is the opposite of everyone else's: no cap on leads, views or content. Pro is $119 a month billed yearly, or $129 monthly. Business is $349 ($399) and Enterprise $749 ($799). What changes between plans is concurrent participants: 10,000, 20,000, then 50,000. An extra user is $19 and an extra domain $39.

At high volume that makes the math easy. At 5,000 leads a month, Pro works out to under 3 cents a lead, and the bill doesn't move if a quiz goes viral.

Where it falls short: there's no free plan, and $119 a month is a steep entry price if you start with a few hundred leads. At that volume, Interact or Outgrow cost about a quarter as much.

Tip: the trial runs 14 days with no card, and refunds are available within 30 days. Nonprofits get 20% off.

Standout features
  • Unlimited leads and content
  • EU data hosting, ISO 27001
  • Built for embedding in articles
+Pros
  • ✓Flat price even if a quiz goes viral
  • ✓30-day refund window
  • ✓20% off for nonprofits
−Cons
  • ✗No free plan
  • ✗$119 a month to start
  • ✗Overkill under 1,000 leads a month
Verdict

The best fit for high volume or strict data rules. For a first quiz with a few hundred leads, start somewhere cheaper.

6
Best respondent experience

Typeform

3.8/5

Typeform shows one question at a time, full screen, and that's why people enjoy filling it in. It handles two kinds of quizzes: score quizzes that add up points, and outcome quizzes that route people to a profile. One form can only do one of the two, so decide before you build. Our full Typeform review scores it 3.8 out of 5, with 4.6 for ease of use but 2.6 for value.

The free plan stops at 10 responses a month, a limit many people find only after building their quiz. Basic is $28 a month billed yearly, or $39 monthly, for 100 responses, and keeps Typeform branding. Plus is $56 ($79) for 1,000 responses, 3 users and no branding. Business is $91 ($129) for 10,000 responses.

For a lead-gen quiz, that's 28 cents per response on Basic. For 1,000 unbranded responses, Plus at $56 still costs twice as much as Outgrow Freelancer Pro.

Where it falls short: price and billing. Public reviews drop it to 2.8 out of 5, dragged down by disputed renewals and refused refunds. The interface and logic still get praise.

Tip: build on the free plan, but don't launch until you've picked a paid plan: 10 responses is one morning of a campaign. Weighing it against a free alternative? Read Typeform vs Tally.

Standout features
  • One question at a time, full screen
  • Score quizzes and outcome quizzes
  • Clear branching logic
+Pros
  • ✓Best respondent experience
  • ✓Ease of use rated 4.6 out of 5
  • ✓Broad integration catalog
−Cons
  • ✗10 responses a month on Free
  • ✗Branding on Basic
  • ✗Harsh reviews on billing
Verdict

The most polished look for a low-volume brand. Past a few hundred leads a month, dedicated quiz tools cost much less.

7
Cheapest way to start

Marquiz

3.8/5

Marquiz grew out of quote quizzes: "Which kitchen layout fits you?", "What's your renovation budget?" Quizzes are unlimited on every plan and the price follows your lead count. For a small business that gets a few dozen inquiries a month, it's the easiest model to read.

Free includes 10 leads a month. Start is $19 a month for 30 leads, with no branding removal and no file export. Plus starts at $39 for 100 leads and scales up to 5,000, with branding removed, a custom domain and export. Extra leads cost from $0.67 on Start down to $0.05 on Plus 5,000, billed in 20% blocks. Prepaying 6 months takes 15% off.

One detail no other tool in this ranking puts on its pricing page: if you stop paying, your account drops back to Free and your quizzes stay live.

Where it falls short: on Start each lead costs over 60 cents, the highest in this ranking, and with no export your leads stay inside the tool. Past 100 leads a month, compare it with Interact Lite.

Tip: start on Free, then jump straight to Plus once the quiz passes 30 leads a month. Start only makes sense at very low volume.

Standout features
  • Unlimited quizzes on every plan
  • Simple per-lead pricing
  • Quizzes stay live if you stop paying
+Pros
  • ✓$19 to get started
  • ✓15% off on 6-month prepay
  • ✓Built for quote quizzes
−Cons
  • ✗Only 10 leads on Free
  • ✗Branding and no export on Start
  • ✗Pricey per lead on small plans
Verdict

The simplest option for a local service business. At a few hundred leads a month, Interact or Outgrow become cheaper.

Cost per lead

What a lead-gen quiz really costs each month

Vendors bill in three ways: per lead (Interact, Outgrow, Marquiz), per response (Typeform, ScoreApp) or per live funnel (involve.me), plus one exception with no cap (Riddle). Here's how that plays out in two real scenarios, using official prices before tax on yearly billing.

Getting started: about 500 leads a month

Interact Lite: $27 for 500 leads. Outgrow Freelancer Pro: $25 for 1,000 leads. Typeform: you need Plus, $56 for 1,000 responses. ScoreApp: Business, $891 a year, about $74 a month, for 1,000 responses. Marquiz: Plus, from $39 depending on volume. Riddle: $119, no cap. The spread is close to 1 to 5.

Your quiz takes off: 2,000 to 3,000 leads a month

Interact Growth: $53 for 2,000 leads, no branding. Typeform Business: $91 for 10,000 responses. ScoreApp Pro: $1,341 a year for 3,000 responses. Outgrow: Essentials at $95 for 7,500 leads. Riddle Pro: still $119. At this point Riddle's flat price starts to compete.

The extras that change the bill

Branding: forced on Interact until Growth, on involve.me Start, Typeform Basic and Marquiz Start. Overages: $0.67 to $0.05 per lead on Marquiz, $15 per 250 responses on LeadQuizzes Standard. Seats: $10 on involve.me, $19 on Riddle. Check these three before comparing headline prices.

  • The quiz can ask for an email before showing the result
  • The price is based on your real lead volume, not the headline plan
  • Vendor branding disappears on the plan you're buying
  • Your CRM or email platform syncs natively on that plan
  • You know what happens at the cap: quiz shut off, locked or billed
  • The auto-renewal date is in your calendar

Other options worth knowing

Five tools come up often in searches without making the ranking: general form builders that can run a quiz, a Shopify specialist, and a high-volume quiz tool.

01

Octane AI: product quizzes for Shopify

Ecommerce

Octane AI installs on Shopify and recommends products based on answers. It holds 4.7 out of 5 across more than 200 reviews on the Shopify App Store. Basic is $50 a month for 400 credits, or $100 for 900, with up to 2 quizzes; Plus is $200 or $350 with unlimited quizzes and A/B comparisons; Enterprise starts at $500. Credits are spent on every quiz engagement and every AI action, so watch them during a big sale. 14-day trial. It sits outside the ranking only because it works on Shopify alone.

02

Tally: a scored quiz for $0

Free

Tally is a form builder, not a quiz tool. But its free calculated field adds up points per answer and assigns a lead status, and you can show a different ending page based on the score. For a first quiz with no budget, it's the best option. Our full review scores it 4.3 out of 5; Pro is $24 a month billed yearly ($29 monthly). It's unranked because you set everything up by hand: no quiz templates or outcome profiles out of the box.

03

LeadQuizzes: 2,500 responses from $37

Volume

LeadQuizzes packs a lot of responses into its price: Standard is $37 a month billed yearly ($49 monthly) for 2,500 responses, Pro $74 for 5,000 and Premium $186 for 15,000. Beyond that, each block of 250 responses costs $15 on Standard. 14-day trial, 30-day refund on yearly plans. It stays unranked because its pricing page shows no personalized result report and no per-lead score: it's a high-volume response collector more than a qualification tool.

04

Fillout: 1,000 free responses a month

Forms

Fillout gives you 1,000 responses a month for free, with logic and calculations. Our full Fillout review scores it 4.2 out of 5. Starter is $15 a month billed yearly, Pro $40 and Business $75. Like Tally, it's a form: you build the quiz yourself.

Jotform has quiz templates and calculations, and our full review scores it 4.0 out of 5. Bronze is $34 a month billed yearly ($39 monthly), Gold $99 ($129 monthly). See our full Jotform review. It's unranked because its quotas are built around forms, not leads, and quizzes are just one use among many.

Tips

Build a quiz that converts, without billing surprises

Settings and traps pulled from user reviews and vendor guides, each one affecting your conversion rate or your bill.

01

Gate the result, not the first question

Conversion

Once someone has answered every question, they want their result, and that's when they'll most readily hand over an email. Ask there, not up front. Sweeten it with a fuller result by email, such as a report or a short tips series.

Where
Between the last question and the result
02

Keep it to 5 to 10 questions

Conversion

Past ten questions, drop-offs climb. Under five, the result feels too thin to be worth an email. Run through it on a phone before launch, since that's where most people will take it.

Sweet spot
5 to 10 questions
03

Aim for 10% from start to result

Measurement

A benchmark one vendor publishes: 10 to 12% of visitors moving from the form to the result page is a good score. Below that, shorten the quiz or make the promised result more specific.

Good score
10 to 12%
04

Know what happens at the cap

Pricing

Each free plan reacts differently when it fills up. Interact switches your quiz off past 100 responses. involve.me locks your funnels until next month. Typeform caps its free plan at 10 responses. Marquiz keeps your quizzes live even after you stop paying. On the day of a paid campaign, that detail costs you leads.

Keep sensitive answers out of your CRM

Privacy

A recommendation quiz can touch on health, money or private life. Send your CRM only what you need for follow-up, and say plainly what the answers are used for. FAQ

Your questions about marketing quiz makers

  • Which quiz maker is best for lead generation?

Interact for most small businesses: it's built for lead-gen quizzes and gives you 500 leads a month for $27 billed yearly. ScoreApp if you sell B2B and want a scored report that leads to a call. Outgrow if you need the lowest cost per lead and work alone.

  • Is there a free quiz maker for lead generation?

Yes, with limits. Interact Free gives 5 quizzes and 100 leads a month, but no integrations and its branding on your quiz. Tally's free calculated field lets you build a scored quiz with no response cap, set up by hand. Skip Outgrow's free plan for this: it covers forms and surveys only.

  • Can you require an email before showing quiz results?

Yes, every tool in our ranking supports a lead form before the result. Put it right after the last question: completion intent is highest there. Offer something extra by email, like a detailed report, so the gate feels fair.

  • Do quiz makers integrate with HubSpot, Mailchimp or Klaviyo?

Most do, but check the plan. Interact connects nothing on Free, adds Zapier on Lite and keeps native HubSpot for Pro at $125 a month. Outgrow connects HubSpot, Zapier and webhooks. Without a native link, Zapier or an export does the job.

  • Do quizzes generate more leads than other lead magnets?

Often, because people get a result about themselves instead of a generic download. The bigger gain is qualification: every answer tells you where the prospect stands. As a benchmark, 10 to 12% of visitors reaching the result page is a good score.

  • What's the difference between a score quiz and an outcome quiz?

A score quiz adds up points and returns a number, like a readiness score out of 100: that's the B2B assessment format. An outcome quiz routes people to a profile or product based on their answers: that's the personality and product-finder format. On Typeform, a single form can only do one of the two.

  • What's the best quiz app for Shopify?

Octane AI, built for Shopify, recommends products based on answers, from $50 a month. Watch its credits, which are used on every quiz engagement and AI action. For a simpler quiz, Interact and involve.me also embed in a store.

  • How much does a quiz maker cost?

From $0 to around $125 a month for most needs. For 500 leads a month, expect $25 to $27 billed yearly on Outgrow or Interact. For a B2B scorecard with PDF reports, $891 a year on ScoreApp Business. For unlimited leads, $119 a month on Riddle.
