AccuRanker alternatives: where to go, and how to leave with your data

Seven alternatives in detail, one per reason for leaving, and a seven-step exit plan.

The short answer: SE Ranking if price is the problem (2,000 keywords tracked daily for $129 a month, against €224 at AccuRanker), Nightwatch for a cheaper rank-tracking specialist, Semrush or Ahrefs if you want a full SEO suite, AgencyAnalytics for client reporting, Monitorank to pay per keyword, and Search Console as the free add-on. One rule first: AccuRanker needs your cancellation at least 14 days before the period ends. We compared these seven options and checked their pricing in 2026.

The ranking is editorial: a sponsored placement is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.

The real reasons

Why SEO teams are moving off AccuRanker

Is AccuRanker still worth it? On data quality, yes. Users praise its speed (rankings show up minutes after you add a keyword), its accuracy and its Looker Studio connector. Nobody leaves because the numbers are wrong. They leave over price, quota and contract terms. Here are the six reasons that keep coming up.

A €224 a month floor

The 1,000-keyword plan is gone. The entry plan, Professional, is €224 a month for 2,000 keywords, and Expert jumps to €764 for 10,000 to 25,000. The $109 or $129 prices still quoted in older roundups are out of date. Pricing is in euros only, so US buyers also carry the exchange rate.

A quota that drains fast

A keyword tracked on mobile and desktop counts as two. Same for each country and each search engine. Reviewers describe burning through their allowance just by switching on mobile. Your 2,000 keywords can turn into 1,000 real ones.

Overage that bumps your plan

AccuRanker counts keywords daily and bills overage as a separate line. At renewal, if the next tier is cheaper than the overage, you're moved up automatically. The count happens on renewal day, so one forgotten test can cost you a tier.

Top 100 is no longer daily

Since Google dropped the parameter that returned 100 results at once, AccuRanker checks the top 30 daily and the top 100 twice a month. Positions 31 to 100 carry over from the last full check. If you're working pages two and three, your charts get blurry.

A contract that's hard to exit

Auto-renewal for the same period, 14 days' notice, no refunds on prepaid amounts, invoices on yearly plans only. Negative reviews mention being billed for a month after cancelling, downgrades only through support, and no refund for unused keywords.

A specialist you pay for on top

AccuRanker tracks rankings and nothing else: no audit, no backlinks, no keyword research. Most teams pay for a suite as well. When budgets tighten, the duplicate tool goes first.

7 alternatives

AccuRanker alternatives, one by one

For each tool: why switch to it, who it's for, its catch, how to move over from AccuRanker, and what it costs in 2026. Prices come from each vendor's official page, or from our Labs review when the tool has one. Keep the baseline in mind: €224 a month for 2,000 keywords at AccuRanker.

01

SE Ranking: the same daily tracking for a lot less

Best value

Why switch to it. If price is why you're leaving, start here. The Core plan is $129 a month, or $103.20 a month billed yearly, and it tracks 2,000 keywords every day. That's the exact volume of AccuRanker's smallest plan, which now starts at €224 a month. Growth covers 5,000 keywords for $279 a month. On top of rank tracking you get a site audit, backlink analysis and keyword research, three things AccuRanker doesn't do. Extra keywords start at $22.40 on Core if you go over.

Who it's for. Consultants, small businesses and lean agencies tracking 1,000 to 5,000 keywords who'd like the core SEO toolkit in the same login.

Who it's not for. Teams tracking more than 25,000 keywords who want a tool built only for that scale. Enterprise is quote-only, same as AccuRanker.

The catch. Adding projects eats the 2,000-keyword allowance fast, just like anywhere else. Budget for the next tier before you onboard a new client.

How to move over from AccuRanker. SE Ranking runs a dedicated migration page that brings over your keywords and ranking history. Export your history from AccuRanker as CSV first, then open the 14-day trial (no card, 10 projects, 750 keywords) and check that positions line up on your money keywords.

02

Nightwatch: pure rank tracking, with a real entry plan

Cheaper specialist

Why switch to it. Nightwatch does the one job AccuRanker does, but it kept the thing AccuRanker dropped: a small plan. Starter is €79 a month for 500 keywords. Professional is €159 for 2,500 keywords, so 500 more than AccuRanker's entry plan for €65 less. Agency handles 7,500 keywords for €399. Rankings refresh daily, and you can trigger an extra check on demand.

Who it's for. Anyone who likes AccuRanker's focus (one tool, rankings only, done well) but doesn't want to pay for 2,000 keywords to use 600.

Who it's not for. Anyone shopping for a full SEO suite. There's no deep site audit and no backlink index on the level of Ahrefs or Semrush.

The catch. Prices are shown in euros, so a US card pays the exchange rate. Starter has no white label, no Looker Studio connector and no API: those start on Professional at €159. Yearly billing is sold as 20% off ("two months free"), yet the page shows some yearly totals equal to twelve monthly payments, so check the amount you will actually be charged before you pay for the year.

How to move over from AccuRanker. Start the 14-day trial, no card needed. Import your keyword list from the AccuRanker CSV with the same engines, countries and devices, run both tools for a week, and compare before you cancel.

Starter €79/mo, 500 keywords
Around 2,000 keywords
Professional €159/mo (2,500)

Semrush: when you want the whole SEO suite, not just rankings

All-in-one

Why switch to it. A lot of teams leave AccuRanker because they're paying for two tools: AccuRanker for rankings, a suite for everything else. Semrush covers both. We use the price from our Semrush review: $199 a month with 500 keywords tracked daily. Pro+ goes to 1,500 keywords for $299. You pick up keyword research, site audits, competitor analysis and content research along the way.

Who it's for. Marketing teams already doing keyword research and competitive monitoring, for whom rank tracking is one part of the job.

Who it's not for. Anyone tracking 2,000 keywords or more. Past 1,500 you need an Advanced plan, and the bill quickly passes AccuRanker's.

The catch. Tracked keywords are thin for the price. Semrush pays off if you use the rest of the suite. For rank tracking alone, it's the most expensive option per keyword on this page.

How to move over from AccuRanker. Create one project per site and paste your keyword list into Position Tracking, sorted by priority: the first 500 should be the ones tied to revenue. The 7-day trial is short, so prepare the list before you start it.

Ahrefs: for people who live in backlinks and competitor research

Links and competitors

Why switch to it. Ahrefs targets the same buyer as Semrush, with a clear edge on backlinks. Per our Ahrefs review, Lite costs $129 a month and tracks 750 keywords. For a consultant using 600 keywords on a 2,000-keyword AccuRanker plan, that's a smaller bill and a backlink index thrown in.

Who it's for. SEO consultants and in-house teams who spend their days on links, competing pages and content gaps.

Who it's not for. Anyone who needs fresh rankings every morning. By default, Ahrefs Rank Tracker updates weekly, and faster updates cost extra.

The catch. The weekly default. If your work hinges on daily data (a site migration, a Google core update), Ahrefs alone won't replace AccuRanker. Project Boost Max costs $200 a month per project.

How to move over from AccuRanker. Add keywords project by project, keeping the same countries and devices. Torn between the two suites? Our Semrush vs Ahrefs comparison settles it by use case.

AgencyAnalytics: for agencies that live on client reports

Agencies

Why switch to it. Plenty of agencies keep AccuRanker for its reports, then rebuild those reports somewhere else anyway. AgencyAnalytics starts from the client report: white-label dashboards, many data sources in one place, and rank tracking as an add-on. Prices from our AgencyAnalytics review: $20 per client per month billed yearly, plus the Rank Tracker add-on at $41.67 a month for 500 keywords.

Who it's for. Agencies running a dozen smaller clients that want one tool to track, report and show results.

Who it's not for. Pure SEO shops tracking tens of thousands of keywords. The add-on isn't built for that volume.

The catch. The bill grows with every client, and rank tracking is sold separately. At 20 clients, do the full math before you sign.

How to move over from AccuRanker. Start the 14-day trial, no card. Connect one test client first, rebuild its AccuRanker report, show it to that client, then move the rest.

Monitorank: pay per keyword, the European way

Pay per keyword

Why switch to it. Monitorank, a French tool, flips AccuRanker's model. There are no 2,000-keyword tiers: you pay for the exact number of keywords you track, before tax, with 2.5%, 5% or 10% off for quarterly, half-yearly or yearly billing. Ten keywords are free forever, plus 100 more for your first month. Top 50 is included and top 100 is a 30% add-on. API access and the Looker Studio connector come at no extra cost.

Who it's for. Freelancers, site owners and small teams tracking a few hundred keywords, especially in European markets, who want a bill that matches real usage.

Who it's not for. Agencies that need polished white-label reports, or anyone wanting a site audit in the same tool.

The catch. The interface feels dated, there's no audit and no white label, and prices are in euros only. Top 100 costs extra, and for some people that's the reason to leave AccuRanker in the first place.

How to move over from AccuRanker. Add your ten free keywords and the 100 trial keywords first: make them the ones that matter most. Price your real volume on the pricing page, then import the rest from your AccuRanker export.

Google Search Console: the free one to keep whatever you pick

Free

Why switch to it. Search Console won't replace a rank tracker, but it can shrink the one you pay for. It shows, for free, your pages' average position on the queries where Google actually displayed them, with clicks and impressions. Long-tail keywords can live here, and only the ones that drive revenue go into the paid tool.

Who it's for. Every site owner, and especially anyone tracking hundreds of long-tail keywords in AccuRanker "just in case".

Who it's not for. Anyone who has to watch competitors, a specific city or day-by-day positions. Search Console only shows your own site, as an average.

The catch. An average position isn't a measured position. It blends devices, countries and days, so it isn't enough to report to a client.

How to move over from AccuRanker. Nothing to migrate. Verify your property, open the Performance report, find queries that rank well and hold steady, and drop them from your paid list.

Exit plan

Leave AccuRanker in seven steps

Order matters. The first two steps protect your budget, the next three protect your data and your choice, the last two cover you if something goes wrong.

01

Find your renewal date and cancel at least 14 days before it

Day 1

AccuRanker renews automatically for the same period. To stop it, cancel at least 14 days before the period ends, from your account or by emailing hello@accuranker.com. Prepaid amounts aren't refunded. On a yearly plan this matters even more: miss the window and you're in for another twelve months. Put the deadline in your calendar today.

02

Delete temporary keywords before renewal day

Before renewal

AccuRanker counts your keywords daily. On renewal day, if you're over your plan and the next tier costs less than the overage, you get moved up automatically. Delete test keywords, campaign keywords and anything from churned clients before that date, even if you're staying one more cycle.

03

Export your ranking history as CSV

Before you cancel

Years of history won't follow you on their own. Build a report and export it as CSV, one domain at a time. Keep the yyyy-mm-dd date format: AccuRanker uses it for imports too, and most tools accept it. Unranked keywords stay blank in the file. Don't turn them into zeros or your charts will collapse.

04

Count your real keywords: device × country × engine

Before you choose

One keyword tracked on mobile and desktop counts twice. The same keyword in two countries doubles again. That's why so many quotas run dry. Do the real math: keywords × devices × countries × engines. That number, not your raw list, decides the plan you need elsewhere.

05

Pick the tool that fixes your reason for leaving

1 hour

Go back to the "you're leaving because" cards above. Price: SE Ranking or Nightwatch. Small volume: Monitorank. Full suite: Semrush or Ahrefs. Client reports: AgencyAnalytics. For the wider market, our guide to the best rank tracking software scores the same tools side by side.

06

Run both tools side by side during the trial

7 to 14 days

SE Ranking, Nightwatch and AgencyAnalytics all offer 14 days with no card. Load your 50 most important keywords with identical settings and compare day by day. A gap of one or two spots is normal, since tools check at different times. A ten-spot gap over several days is worth a support ticket before you sign.

07

Keep proof of cancellation and check the last invoice

At the end

Save the cancellation email or screenshot. Make sure the last invoice covers the last period only, with no keyword overage line. If there's ever a dispute, that dated proof is what counts.

Exit pitfalls

What breaks a move off AccuRanker

The same mistakes show up in reviews and SEO forums. None of them are technical. They're dates, quotas and broken charts.

Cancelling renewal week

Notice is 14 days. A late cancellation rolls you into a full new period, and prepaid money doesn't come back.

Leaving test keywords in

The renewal-day count sets your next plan. One forgotten import can push you up a tier at the worst moment.

Comparing lists, not volumes

"2,000 keywords" means different things in different tools. Count by device and country before you pick a plan.

Losing your history

Without a CSV export you start from zero and can't show a client what a year of work did. Export before you cancel, not after.

Judging a tool on two days of data

Tools check at different hours. Run both for at least a week before deciding one of them is wrong.

Buying on the headline price

Euro billing, first-year discounts, top 100 as an add-on, tracking sold separately: compare the full year for your real volume.

  • Cancellation deadline noted (14 days before renewal)
  • Temporary keywords deleted before renewal
  • History exported as CSV, one domain at a time
  • Real volume counted (devices × countries × engines)
  • New tool compared side by side during the trial
  • Cancellation proof saved

AccuRanker alternative FAQ

  • What is the best AccuRanker alternative?

For most teams, SE Ranking: the same daily tracking of 2,000 keywords for $129 a month instead of €224, plus an audit and backlink data. If you want to stay with a tool that only tracks rankings, Nightwatch is the closest match.

  • What is a cheaper alternative to AccuRanker?

Nightwatch Starter at €79 a month for 500 keywords, SE Ranking Core at $103.20 a month on yearly billing, or Monitorank if you only need a few hundred keywords and want to pay per keyword. Cheapest is not the whole story: check whether the plan covers mobile and every country you track.

  • Is AccuRanker worth it?

For agencies tracking well above 2,000 keywords daily, yes: it's fast and accurate. Below that, you pay for volume you don't use. The deciding factor is your real keyword count after multiplying by devices and countries.

  • How much does AccuRanker cost?

Professional is €224 a month for 2,000, 3,000 or 5,000 keywords depending on the tier you pick, Expert is €764 for 10,000 to 25,000, and Enterprise is quote-only. Yearly billing takes 10% off. Prices are listed in euros, and the page doesn't say whether VAT is included.

  • Does AccuRanker still track the top 100?

Yes, but not daily. The top 30 is checked every day and the top 100 twice a month, with positions 31 to 100 carried over between full checks. If pages two and three matter to you, check how each alternative handles depth before paying.

  • Is there a free AccuRanker alternative?

Not for real rank tracking. The free options are Search Console, which shows average positions for your own site, and Monitorank's ten free keywords. A good trick: leave the long tail in Search Console and pay to track only the keywords that make money.

  • How do I cancel AccuRanker?

From your account, or by emailing hello@accuranker.com, at least 14 days before your period ends. Renewal is automatic and prepaid amounts aren't refunded. Keep the written confirmation.

  • Can I import my AccuRanker history into another tool?

Partly. Export your reports as CSV with yyyy-mm-dd dates. SE Ranking has a migration page that brings over keywords and history. Elsewhere, import at least the keyword list and keep the CSV for comparisons.
