AdCreative.ai alternatives: where to go and how to cancel cleanly

Seven tools in detail, one per reason to leave, and a seven-step exit plan.

Short answer: Predis.ai if you want the same job with far more ads for the money, Pencil if you mostly make static ads for several brands, Creatify if video comes first, Adobe Express if you want control over the design, and Meta Advantage+ creative if you only run Facebook and Instagram ads. One thing before you go: on AdCreative.ai, generating is unlimited but every download costs a credit, and unused credits don't roll over. Download your winning ads before you cancel. We compared all seven tools in this guide and checked their prices for 2026.

The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.

The real reasons

Why people leave AdCreative.ai, and why it hurts

AdCreative.ai does some things well: fast banners in every ad size, a score that predicts how a creative will perform, and direct links to Meta and Google ad accounts. It started in Paris and was bought by Taiwan's Appier in 2025. Included credits were also revised recently: the official grid now shows 20 credits a month on Starter and 300 on Professional. People still leave, for six reasons that keep coming back in user reviews and in the vendor's own terms.

A trial that quietly becomes a subscription

The free trial runs 7 days with 20 credits, and it asks for a card. Miss the cancel window and the plan starts. On review sites, many one-star ratings tell the same story: a charge right after the trial, or after a cancellation the user thought had gone through. One reviewer was charged $406.80 for a year she says she never used.

You pay per download, not per generation

The rule is spelled out on the pricing page: a credit is used when you download a generated ad. Starter at $39 a month buys 20 downloads, so $1.95 an ad. Professional at $249 for 300 credits brings it to about $0.83. Test 40 variations a week and Starter is gone in five days.

Credits vanish at the end of the month

Credits renew monthly and expire at the end of each billing cycle. A slow month still costs full price. Extra credits come as pricier tiers: 50 credits on Starter cost $89 a month.

Refunds are close to impossible

You only qualify if you paid and didn't use the service at all, and ask within 7 days (monthly) or 30 days (annual). One download ends that right, and unused credits are never refunded. Several users report waiting weeks for a refund that had already been approved.

Video and multi-brand cost a lot

Ad videos, product videos and connected TV ads are sold as higher-tier features. The first plan with several brands and users, Professional, is $249 a month ($125 billed yearly). The pricing page itself shows two different brand limits for Professional, so get the number in writing before you pay.

Ads that start to look the same

Long-time users say layouts repeat from one campaign to the next and design control is thin. On Meta, where creative fatigue sets in fast, near-identical ads hurt results. Support is slow according to many reviewers, which makes these issues harder to sort out.

The 7 alternatives

AdCreative.ai alternatives, tool by tool

For each tool: why move there, who it fits, its catch, how to switch, and its price. Prices are what vendors show in 2026, in US dollars. Three tools aren't ranked for lack of a readable price: Canva, whose pricing page we couldn't check, Arcads, for AI-actor video ads, and Quickads, whose pricing page contradicts itself. To generate banners in bulk through an API, Bannerbear starts at $49 a month.

01

Predis.ai: the same job, ten times the volume

Closest to AdCreative

Why move to Predis.ai. It does what AdCreative.ai does (static and video ads from your product or site) and adds social posts plus scheduling to 10 to 60 channels depending on the plan. The real gap is volume: Core includes 1,300 credits a month, about 325 images or 33 videos, against 20 credits on AdCreative.ai Starter.

Who it's for. Small stores and solo marketers who post a lot, paid and organic, and want one tool for both.

Who it's not for. An agency juggling ten brands: Core covers one, Rise four.

The catch. Credit cost depends on the AI model you pick, and video burns through them. The trial lasts 3 days and your card is charged on day three, with payments marked non-refundable. Some users say files became unreachable once the plan ended, so download everything before leaving here too.

How to move. Rebuild your brand kit, then recreate your three best AdCreative.ai ads as templates. Core is $19 a month billed yearly ($230 a year) or $32 month to month; Rise is $40 yearly or $79 monthly with 3,200 credits and 4 brands.

Core $19/mo yearly, $32 monthly

02

Creatify: when video matters more than banners

Best for video

Why move to Creatify. Paste a product page URL and Creatify turns it into a video ad with an avatar, voiceover and captions. That's its core job, while AdCreative.ai keeps video for its upper plans. It makes image ads too.

Who it's for. Ecommerce brands that want short UGC-style videos for TikTok, Reels and Shorts without a shoot.

Who it's not for. Anyone who mainly needs display banners.

The catch. Video uses credits fast, and there are no refunds, even for an unused billing period. On the plus side, credits stay valid for two months instead of one.

How to move. Start on the free plan: 10 credits a month, up to 2 video ads or 20 image ads, watermarked. Standard is $10 a month billed yearly or $15 monthly (55 credits); Pro is $38 or $55 (280 credits). Annual billing saves 30%.

03

Pencil: cheap multi-brand static ads

Best for several brands

Why move to Pencil. On static ads, Pencil is the closest match to AdCreative.ai: on-brand variations ready for social. It is part of the UK-based Brandtech Group. Growth unlocks unlimited workspaces for $44 a month billed yearly, while AdCreative.ai needs Professional ($125 a month billed yearly) for more than one brand.

Who it's for. Freelancers and small agencies making static ads for several clients.

Who it's not for. Heavy volume: 250 generations a month on Growth is comfortable, not unlimited.

The catch. No refunds after the trial. When you cancel, charges stop at the end of the current period, which is clearer than AdCreative.ai's terms.

How to move. The trial walks you through six free ads: rebuild your best AdCreative.ai ad there and compare. Core is $11 a month billed yearly or $14 monthly (50 generations, one workspace); Growth is $44 or $55.

Adobe Express: Firefly AI and a month-long trial

Longest trial

Why move to Adobe Express. Templates, batch resizing and Firefly AI for images and text, in one browser tool. Premium comes with a 30-day free trial and no annual commitment.

Who it's for. Teams already on Photoshop or Illustrator, and anyone who wants a plain monthly bill.

Who it's not for. Heavy generators: 250 generative credits a month go fast.

The catch. No performance prediction or ad results. Past 250 credits you need Firefly Pro at $19.99 a month for 4,000 credits.

How to move. Set up your brand kit in Premium, import your winning visuals and batch-resize them. Premium is $9.99 a month. Teams is $4.99 per seat a month for the first year on an annual plan ($7.99 after), two seats minimum. Our guide on switching from Adobe Express lists its traps.

Meta Advantage+ creative: AI already inside your Meta ads

No subscription

Why move to Meta Advantage+ creative. If you only advertise on Facebook and Instagram, part of what you pay AdCreative.ai for is already in Ads Manager: background generation for product images, image expansion to vertical formats, and up to six text variations. No plan, no credits.

Who it's for. Stores that spend their whole ad budget on Meta and want to test variations with no extra tool.

Who it's not for. Anyone also running Google, LinkedIn or TikTok ads.

The catch. Little control: guides flag warped logos, hands or text. Review every variation and switch off the enhancements you don't like.

How to move. Nothing to install. In your next campaign, turn on creative enhancements for one ad, run it a week against your usual AdCreative.ai ad, and compare cost per purchase.

The Brief: flat plans, no credit counter

No credits

Why move to The Brief. The Brief is Creatopy's new name. Its pitch fits in one line of its pricing page: no credits, no counters, just plans. You build display banners and product-feed variations with brand kits, and from Amplify you can even serve your ads (100,000 impressions a month included).

Who it's for. Teams running display at volume across many sizes who are done watching a credit balance.

Who it's not for. Small budgets: there's no free plan, and only yearly prices are shown.

The catch. It's more a production tool than an idea generator: you need to know what you want to adapt.

How to move. The 7-day trial needs no card, the opposite of AdCreative.ai. Import your brand kit and rebuild your best display sizes. Create is $29 a month billed $348 a year; Amplify is $79 a month ($948 a year).

AdMakeAI: same credit logic, far more credits

Top-ups never expire

Why move to AdMakeAI. If AdCreative.ai's model suits you but its volume doesn't, AdMakeAI keeps credits and gives many more: 500 for $39 a month, the price of AdCreative.ai Starter with 20. It adds a competitor research tool, with 5 competitors per project on Starter.

Who it's for. Marketers who want lots of variations and an eye on competitors in one place.

Who it's not for. Anyone who needs billing guarantees: the pricing page says nothing about refunds, and the yearly discount has no exact figure.

The catch. It's a young tool with few public user reviews. Start monthly, not yearly.

How to move. 30 free credits, no card. Then Starter at $39 (500 credits), Professional at $79 (1,500) or Business at $139 (4,000). Top-ups cost $19 for 200 credits and never expire.

The 7 alternatives compared

The number that matters is what one usable ad costs. Month to month, AdCreative.ai Starter works out to $1.95 per downloaded ad ($39 for 20 credits). Pencil Core is $0.28 per generation ($14 for 50). Predis.ai Core lands near $0.10 per image ($32 for about 325 images). Even on Professional, AdCreative.ai stays around $0.83.

Exit plan

Leave AdCreative.ai in seven steps

Order matters: anything that costs a credit happens before you cancel, anything that protects your card happens the same day.

01

Download your winning ads while you still have credits

First

Open Ads Manager, sort the last six months of ads by cost per purchase or per lead, and list your top ten. Find them in AdCreative.ai and download them in high resolution, in every size. Each download costs a credit, so do it inside the current cycle: leftover credits are lost anyway.

Time
one to two hours
If rushed
ads lost or paid twice
02

Get your brand kit out of AdCreative.ai

Backup

Logos, hex colors, fonts, hooks that work, legal lines: gather them in a shared folder outside the tool. There's no brand export, and your next tool will ask for the same files. Keep your winning copy in a sheet next to the ad it ran on.

Time
one hour
If rushed
a sloppy brand rebuild
03

Keep your numbers from the ad platforms, not the tool

Memory

AdCreative.ai's creative score and insights don't export. Real results live in Meta and Google: export a per-ad report (spend, clicks, conversions, cost per result) from each. That's your baseline for judging the next tool.

Time
30 minutes per platform
If rushed
nothing to compare
04

Run the new tool side by side, on a card you watch

Comparison

Rebuild your three best ads in the new tool and run them against the originals on equal budgets for one to two weeks. Note every trial end date: Predis.ai charges on day three. A virtual card with a low limit makes trials safer.

Time
one to two weeks
If rushed
two subscriptions billed
05

Disconnect ad accounts and the product catalog

Security

In AdCreative.ai, disconnect Meta, Google and your catalog. In Meta and Google, also remove the app's access from your ad account settings. Then connect the new tool. A forgotten connection is an open door to your accounts.

Time
15 minutes
If rushed
lingering access
06

Remove users and brands

Professional and up

On Professional or Ultimate, several teammates and brands share the account. Tell the team, have them download what they need, then remove access. Otherwise someone keeps generating and downloading to the last day.

Time
30 minutes
If rushed
credits burned for nothing
07

Cancel before renewal and keep the proof

Day one

The plan renews automatically on the same tier. Cancel from your account settings a few days before the renewal date, monthly or yearly. Screenshot the confirmation and keep the email. If a charge still lands, write to contact@adcreative.ai with your invoice and proof. If you used nothing, you have 7 days (monthly) or 30 days (annual) to ask for a refund.

Time
10 minutes
If rushed
a month or a year billed

Exit pitfalls

What makes an AdCreative.ai exit go wrong

These mistakes show up again and again in user reviews and in the vendor's terms. None is technical. All of them cost money.

Canceling before downloading

Once the plan ends, no credits means no downloads. Save your ads first, then cancel within the same cycle.

Thinking a generated ad is yours

Generating is free, but only a downloaded ad exists as a file you own. Anything you only saw on screen goes away with the account.

Asking for a refund after using it

One download and the refund right is gone. Don't count on it to recover a started month: cancel on time.

Clicking another plan just to compare

Some users say they were charged right after clicking a different plan in their account. Read the public pricing page logged out instead.

Deleting the account instead of canceling

Deleted accounts are excluded from refunds, and you lose your invoice history. Cancel, download invoices, then delete if you want.

Going annual on day one somewhere else

That's the mistake that cost some AdCreative.ai users over $400. Start monthly with the new tool, and switch to yearly once it has proved itself on real campaigns.

  • Top ten ads downloaded in high resolution
  • Brand kit stored outside the tool
  • Per-ad reports exported from Meta and Google
  • New tool trialed on equal budgets
  • Ad accounts and catalog disconnected
  • Users and brands removed
  • Canceled before renewal
  • Confirmation screenshot and email saved
  • Invoices downloaded
FAQ · 8 questions

AdCreative.ai alternatives: common questions

  • How much does AdCreative.ai cost?

Starter is $39 a month, $29 a month billed quarterly, or $20 a month billed yearly, for 20 credits and one brand. Professional is $249 monthly or $125 a month billed yearly, for 300 credits and 10 users. Ultimate starts at $500 a month billed yearly. Our AdCreative.ai pricing breakdown goes plan by plan.

  • Is there a free alternative to AdCreative.ai?

Yes, with limits. Creatify gives 10 credits a month with a watermark, Adobe Express has a free plan, and Meta Advantage+ creative is included with Meta ads. AdMakeAI offers 30 credits with no card. None of them replaces a paid tool at real volume.

  • Does the AdCreative.ai free trial charge automatically?

Yes. The 7-day trial needs a card, and unless you cancel before it ends, the plan you picked starts on its own. A yearly plan is charged in one go. Write down the end date when you sign up.

  • How do I cancel AdCreative.ai?

From your account settings, where a button starts the cancellation after a short reason form. Do it a few days before renewal and keep a screenshot and the confirmation email. If you're charged afterward, email contact@adcreative.ai with your invoice.

  • Can I get a refund from AdCreative.ai?

Only if you didn't use the service at all, within 7 days on a monthly plan or 30 days on a yearly one. One download, a deleted account or unused credits close that door. The vendor quotes two to three weeks for processing.

  • What's the best AdCreative.ai alternative for video ads?

Creatify, built for it: a video ad with an avatar from a product page URL. Predis.ai does video too, but it uses a lot of credits. For AI-actor videos, Arcads exists but publishes no price.

  • Do unused AdCreative.ai credits roll over?

No. Credits renew monthly and expire at the end of each billing cycle. Creatify credits last two months, and AdMakeAI top-ups never expire.

  • Who owns AdCreative.ai?

Appier, a Taiwanese AI company, bought the Paris-born startup in 2025 for $38.7 million. For a wider ranking, see our best AI ad generators and our AdCreative.ai review.
