ClickFunnels alternatives: where to go and how to move your funnels

Five destinations, one per use case, and a six-step migration plan.

Short answer: Systeme.io if price is the problem (free up to 2,000 contacts, then $17 a month), GoHighLevel if you run an agency, Kajabi if courses pay your bills, GetResponse if your email list drives revenue, Kartra if you want a full suite at a similar price. One thing to know first: ClickFunnels only exports your contacts. Pages, funnels and emails get rebuilt. We compared these five tools, their prices and their migration paths in 2026.

The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a rating.

The real reasons

Why people leave ClickFunnels, and why it takes time

ClickFunnels still gets strong ratings from its customers, and its funnel builder trained a generation of online sellers. People leave over the entry price, the limits of the first plan, and a product that got heavier with 2.0. Here are the six reasons that keep coming up.

$97 a month before your first sale

Launch costs $97 a month, or $81 a month billed annually. There's no free plan, just a 14-day trial. For a creator with a first offer, that's $1,164 a year before a single dollar comes in. Systeme.io runs a first funnel for $0.

A starter plan that fills up fast

Launch gives you 1 workspace, 2 team members, 10,000 contacts, 3 courses and 5 domains. A second brand or a fourth course pushes you to Scale at $197 a month. Even unlimited funnels on Launch are tagged as a "limited time" offer.

Your funnels can't leave

Funnel sharing only works between ClickFunnels accounts, and it leaves courses, themes and email templates behind. To any other tool, only contacts travel, as a file. Everything else is rebuilt by hand.

A heavier product

2.0 added CRM, blog, community, store and automations. Recent reviews mention a steep learning curve and marketing settings that are hard to find. If you only use funnels, you're paying for a suite you never open.

Classic and 2.0 don't talk

Classic funnels can't be shared into a 2.0 account. You need BarnumPT, a third-party tool that skips products and some special elements. If you're still on Classic, you're migrating anyway, so compare destinations.

Everything goes when you cancel

Close the account and your contacts and pages would be gone. A $9.99 a month pause option would keep pages and subdomains, with funnels inactive. Export everything before you hit cancel.

The 5 alternatives

ClickFunnels alternatives, tool by tool

For each tool: why move there, who it's for, the catch, how to migrate and what it costs. Prices are those listed in 2026.

01

Systeme.io: the alternative that costs the least

Cheapest

Why switch to Systeme.io. It's the closest thing to ClickFunnels at a fraction of the price: funnels, email, courses, affiliates and blog in one account. The free plan keeps 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 1 course with no credit card. Startup is $17 a month (5,000 contacts, 10 funnels), Webinar $47, Unlimited $97. No plan takes a cut of your sales, and email sends are unlimited on every plan.

Who it's for. Course creators, coaches and digital product sellers who want a working funnel without paying for an agency suite.

Who it's not for. Teams that want pixel-perfect pages or deep branching automations. The page editor is simpler and automations stay basic.

The catch. Design freedom. Pages are built from blocks, with less control than the ClickFunnels editor. A few recent reviews also mention a clunky interface and form bugs.

How to migrate. This is the big one: Systeme.io offers a free migration with Unlimited monthly or any annual plan, and ClickFunnels is on the list. Their team moves funnels, pages, tagged lists, sequences, courses, customers and your domain in 2 to 5 business days (1 to 2 weeks for big accounts). Tip: take Startup annually (two months free) instead of Unlimited monthly to get the migration for less.

GoHighLevel: the agency alternative

Agencies

Why switch to GoHighLevel. If you build funnels for clients, ClickFunnels charges per workspace: 5 on Scale at $197, 10 on Optimize at $297. GoHighLevel works in sub-accounts, one per client: 3 on Starter at $97 a month, unlimited on Unlimited at $297 ($2,970 a year). Each sub-account keeps its own contacts and funnels, walled off from other clients.

Who it's for. Marketing agencies and consultants with five or more clients who want to resell the platform.

Who it's not for. A solo creator. You'd pay $97 for a suite you'd use a tenth of.

The catch. Onboarding. The tool is dense, and negative reviews focus on slow support and painful cancellations. The 14-day trial rolls into a paid plan automatically, so set a reminder.

How to migrate. No native ClickFunnels funnel import. Import contacts by CSV and rebuild pages. The import-from-URL option several agencies mention copies the live page, not the funnel logic.

Kajabi: when courses are the business

Courses

Why switch to Kajabi. ClickFunnels Launch caps you at 3 courses. Kajabi is built around the course: courses, communities, websites and digital products, with funnels around them. Basic is $179 a month ($143 billed annually) for 5 products and 2,500 contacts. Growth is $249 ($199) for 50 products and 25,000 contacts.

Who it's for. Creators whose revenue comes from courses and memberships and who care about the student experience.

Who it's not for. Tight budgets. Kajabi starts above ClickFunnels.

The catch. Fees and contacts. Kajabi Payments in the US costs 2.9% + $0.30 per sale on Basic. With a third-party processor, Kajabi adds 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth, 0.5% on Pro. And 2,500 contacts on Basic fill up quickly.

How to migrate. Import contacts and students by CSV, then rebuild pages and courses. Budget time for re-uploading every course video.

GetResponse: when email drives revenue

Email

Why switch to GetResponse. If your money comes from your list, GetResponse is an email platform first, with funnels and webinars around it. Its FAQ quotes $19 a month for 1,000 subscribers as a starting point. Sales funnels come with Marketer, live webinars with Creator.

Who it's for. Info-product sellers who sell through newsletters and webinars.

Who it's not for. Anyone who wants a free-form page editor. Pages are fine, nothing more.

The catch. Price follows your list size, while ClickFunnels Launch includes 10,000 contacts. On the free account, webinars stop at 10 people and landing pages at 1,000 visitors a month.

How to migrate. CSV contact import, then rebuild pages from their funnel templates.

Kartra: the full suite at a similar price

All-in-one

Why switch to Kartra. Kartra bundles pages, email, hosted video, memberships and checkout. If you're leaving because ClickFunnels lacks real email or video hosting for you, Kartra has them in the plan. Essentials starts at $59 a month.

Who it's for. Program sellers who want one tool and one bill.

Who it's not for. Anyone trying to save money. Once you add what you need, the bill lands near ClickFunnels.

The catch. Essentials takes 5% of your sales, and the API only comes with Professional at $549. Our Kartra review rates it 3.1 out of 5, and Kartra pricing breaks down each plan.

How to migrate. CSV import with tags, then rebuild pages in their editor. No ClickFunnels funnel imports directly here either.

Migration plan

Move off ClickFunnels in six steps

Order matters. Each step protects something: your contacts, your paying subscribers, your deliverability, this month's revenue.

01

List everything that runs today

Day 1

Write down every funnel, step, product and price, every order bump (the small add-on offered as a checkbox at checkout) and every one-click upsell. Add email sequences, courses, member areas, affiliate program and connected domains.

Take full-page screenshots of every step on desktop and mobile. They are your rebuild blueprints, because no page leaves ClickFunnels any other way.

Time
half a day
Output
one sheet, one row per item
02

Export contacts with their tags

Day 1

Go to Customers, then Contacts, select all, then Bulk actions and Export. In the window, tick tags, LTV and your custom fields. Skip them and you lose your segments. Download the file and store it outside ClickFunnels.

Keep unsubscribed contacts in a separate file. They must never land in the new tool as subscribers.

Path
Customers > Contacts > Bulk actions > Export
Trap
tags not ticked by default
03

Plan for live subscriptions

Before the switch

This is the step people skip. Recurring customers (memberships, payment plans) belong to your payment processor, not to the funnel. On Stripe, connect the same Stripe account to the new tool and leave existing subscriptions running on the Stripe side.

Systeme.io says it plainly in its migration offer: payment history stays with your processor. Never cancel ClickFunnels before you've seen one recurring charge go through in the new tool.

Rule

04

Rebuild funnels, starting with your best earner

Week 1

Start with the funnel that makes the most money, not the easiest one. Rebuild opt-in, sales page, checkout, bump, upsell and thank-you page from your screenshots. Drop steps that never converted while you're at it.

Moving to Systeme.io on an annual or Unlimited plan? Ask for the free migration: their team rebuilds funnels, lists, sequences and courses in 2 to 5 business days.

Time
1 to 3 days per funnel
Tip
best earner first
05

Recreate sequences and authenticate your domain

Week 1

Email templates don't travel, not even in a funnel share. Paste every email back into your sequences, then set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC (the three DNS records that prove you're allowed to send from your domain) in the new tool.

Turn off your welcome email during the import, or every old contact gets a "Welcome!" on the same day.

06

Switch the domain and keep ClickFunnels one more month

Week 2

Point your domain to the new tool, run one real test purchase end to end (and refund it), then update links in ads, bios and emails. Keep ClickFunnels for one more billing cycle to catch late sign-ups and pull a final export.

Migration pitfalls

What makes a ClickFunnels exit go wrong

The same mistakes keep showing up. None is technical. They're oversights, and each one costs sales.

Cancelling before exporting

When the account closes, contacts and pages disappear. Export, check the file, then cancel. Not sure yet? The $9.99 a month pause would keep your pages.

Forgetting recurring payments

A broken payment plan or membership is revenue lost quietly. Keep the same Stripe account and confirm one charge in the new tool before you cut over.

Comparing prices without fees

ClickFunnels and Systeme.io take no cut. Kartra Essentials takes 5%, and Kajabi takes 2% on Basic, but only with a third-party payment processor. On $5,000 in monthly sales, 2% is $100 more.

Rebuilding one to one

A migration is the right time to drop steps that never converted. Check your per-step stats before leaving, because they won't follow you.

Forgetting links to the old funnel

Ads, bios, signatures, old emails: every dead link costs sign-ups. List them, and keep ClickFunnels a month longer to catch stragglers.

Buying an agency tool for a solo project

GoHighLevel is great for agencies and heavy for a solo creator. If you only need pages, see our best landing page builders, and our guide to switching from Mailchimp if your email tool is changing too.

FAQ · 8 questions

ClickFunnels alternatives: common questions

  • Is there a free alternative to ClickFunnels?

Yes: Systeme.io. Its free plan covers 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 1 course, with no credit card and no cut of your sales. For a first offer and a first list, that's enough. You move to Startup at $17 a month when you outgrow it.

  • What is the cheapest ClickFunnels alternative?

Systeme.io Startup at $17 a month, against $97 for ClickFunnels Launch. Pay annually and you get two months free, so roughly $170 for the year instead of $972 (Launch billed annually at $81 a month).

  • Can I export my ClickFunnels funnels to another platform?

No. Funnel sharing only works between two ClickFunnels accounts, and even then it leaves out courses, themes and email templates. To leave, you export contacts as a file and rebuild the pages. Take full-page screenshots of every step first.

  • What happens to my data when I cancel ClickFunnels?

Your contacts and pages go with the account. Export first, and tick tags and custom fields in the export window. One quirk: the Exports menu only shows up after your first export, so don't go looking for it beforehand.

  • Is GoHighLevel better than ClickFunnels?

For agencies, usually yes. GoHighLevel's $297 Unlimited plan gives unlimited sub-accounts, one per client, while ClickFunnels Scale stops at 5 workspaces for $197. For a solo creator, no: you'd pay for a dense tool you barely use.

  • Does ClickFunnels take a cut of my sales?

No. ClickFunnels charges a subscription only, plus your payment processor's fees. Systeme.io is the same. Kartra Essentials takes 5% of sales. Kajabi adds 2% on its Basic plan if you use a third-party payment provider instead of Kajabi Payments.

  • How long does a migration from ClickFunnels take?

Plan one to two weeks for an account with a handful of funnels. Systeme.io quotes 2 to 5 business days for its free migration service, and 1 to 2 weeks for larger accounts. Add a month of overlap before you cancel.

  • Is Kartra a good ClickFunnels alternative?

Only if you want everything in one place, email included, at a similar price. Kartra starts at $59 a month, but that plan takes 5% of your sales, and the API only comes with Professional. Our Kartra review rates it 3.1 out of 5, and Kartra alternatives lists other options.
