Snov.io alternative: where to go and how to leave without losing anything
Nine destinations, one per reason for leaving, and a seven-step exit plan.
Short answer: go with Apollo.io if you want a bigger contact database and a real free plan, Instantly if you send cold email at volume from many inboxes, and Hunter if all you need is a simple email finder. If LinkedIn is part of your outreach, look at lemlist or La Growth Machine. For phone numbers, it's Lusha or Kaspr. If your contacts are mostly in Europe, try Dropcontact. One thing to know first: Snov.io exports your prospect lists but not your sequences, so you rebuild those by hand. We compared all nine destinations in this guide and went through their pricing in 2026.

Why people end up leaving Snov.io
Snov.io gets plenty right. Users often praise fast support, and the Chrome extension is rated 4.9 out of 5 by its users. The exits come from somewhere else: how credits get burned, what costs extra, and what happens when you stop paying. Here are six reasons, each checked against Snov.io's own pages in 2026.
One credit pool for everything
Finding an email costs 1 credit. Verifying it costs 1 credit. Opening a company profile costs 1 credit. An email flagged "unknown" (yellow) is billed like a valid one. So find-then-verify usually means 2 credits per contact, and the 1,000 credits on Starter cover roughly 500 contacts, not 1,000. A recurring complaint from users: paying for results the tool itself marks as unverifiable.
Credits that expire every 30 days
On a monthly plan, unused credits expire every 30 days. Rollover only exists on annual plans or with an active renewal. Campaign recipients (5,000 a month on Starter) also expire after 30 days, with no rollover at all. A slow month is a month you paid for and didn't use.
LinkedIn costs extra
LinkedIn automation isn't included in any plan. Each connected LinkedIn account costs $69 a month ($62 on annual billing), with a 7-day trial. Starter plus one LinkedIn seat comes to $108 a month. Compare that with La Growth Machine, which includes LinkedIn from its first plan, or Waalaxy, which is built around it.
Warm-up capped at 3 inboxes
Warm-up (gradually building sending reputation so inbox providers trust you) is limited to 3 mailboxes on Starter. It only becomes unlimited from Pro S at $99 a month. If you spread volume across five or six inboxes, the entry plan stops working fast.
Data quality depends on the industry and the country
The same theme keeps coming up in user reviews: contact quality and freshness are hit or miss depending on the industry, and some emails the tool approves turn out not to be real. Outside North America, this is the first thing to check on a sample before you commit anywhere else.
Leaving takes work, and refunds are rare
Export only exists on paid plans, and the free Trial exports nothing. Sequences don't export at all. When your contract ends, data is disabled, archived or deleted, and deletion can't be undone. On the money side, Snov.io doesn't refund purchases made on its site, with a few exceptions: a request within 14 days of an automatic renewal with no quota used, a double charge, a technical problem, or an unauthorized charge.

Snov.io alternatives, tool by tool
For each tool: why you'd move to it, who it's for, its catch, how to get there from Snov.io, and what it costs. Ratings come from our full reviews when the tool has one. Prices are those listed in 2026, in dollars, or in euros when the vendor only shows euros. The ranking is editorial: a sponsored placement is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a rating.
The tools
Apollo.io: the biggest database, with a real free plan
Best default pickWhy switch to Apollo. If you're leaving Snov.io because too many searches come back empty, Apollo is the obvious next stop: a large B2B database, enrichment and email sequences in one place, plus a $0 Free plan so you can judge it on your own market. We rated it 4.1 out of 5 in our Apollo review, with 4.6 for features and 4.3 for ease of use.
Who it's for. SDRs, founders and small sales teams who prospect by email and want one tool to find, enrich and follow up.
Who it isn't for. Anyone who needs a lot of hand-holding from support: it's the weakest score in our review (3.7 out of 5), with value for money close behind (3.8).
The catch. Organization starts at $119 a month billed annually with a 3-seat minimum, so a growing team jumps tiers quickly. Double-check the exact amount for your seat count at checkout.
How to move. Export your Snov.io lists to CSV with each email's status, then import them into Apollo. Don't try to import sequences: rebuild them in Apollo's sequence editor from the copy you saved.
Pricing. Free at $0, Basic at $49 a month billed annually ($65 monthly), Professional at $79 ($99 monthly), Organization at $119 billed annually. Full breakdown in Apollo pricing.

Instantly: send a lot, from a lot of inboxes
High-volume sendingWhy switch to Instantly. If your ceiling on Snov.io is the 3 warm-up inboxes on Starter, Instantly is built for the opposite: connect as many sending inboxes as you want, warm them all up, and spread volume across them without paying per seat. We rated it 4.2 out of 5 in our Instantly review, with 4.4 for ease of use and 4.5 for features.
Who it's for. Agencies and outbound teams running cold email at volume across several domains.
Who it isn't for. Teams that lean heavily on support (it's Instantly's weakest score with us, 3.6 out of 5), and anyone who wants LinkedIn steps in their sequences.
The catch. Contact data is a separate purchase, with credits starting at $9. Instantly is a sending tool first, not a finder.
How to move. Connect your sending inboxes (they stay with Google or Microsoft, nothing moves), start warm-up, then import your Snov.io lists. Begin with contacts marked valid: "unknown" emails push your bounce rate up exactly while your inboxes are warming.
Pricing. Growth at $37.60 a month billed annually ($47 monthly), Hypergrowth at $77.60 ($97), Light Speed at $286.30 ($358). Full breakdown in Instantly pricing.

Hunter: the no-fuss email finder
Simplest swapWhy switch to Hunter. Hunter makes the same core promise Snov.io started with (find someone's work email) but with a cleaner pricing grid: a set number of credits a month, sequences included, and a free plan with 50 credits a month. If you mostly used Snov.io as a finder, this is the least disruptive move.
Who it's for. Freelancers, recruiters and small teams who look up a few hundred emails a month and run simple follow-ups.
Who it isn't for. Anyone who needs phone numbers or LinkedIn steps. Hunter stays email-first.
The catch. Just like Snov.io on monthly billing, credits reset every month and don't roll over. Run the math on your real volume.
How to move. Import your lists via CSV, rebuild your sequences (500 recipients per sequence on the free plan, 2,500 on Starter, up to 15,000 on Scale), and restart warm-up. For more options, see our page on Hunter alternatives.
Pricing. Free at $0 (50 credits), Starter at $49 monthly or $34 billed annually (2,000 credits), Growth at $149 or $104 (10,000), Scale at $299 or $209 (25,000). On annual Starter, a credit costs 1.7 cents, against 2.9 cents on Snov.io's annual Starter.
- Free
- 50 credits a month
- Paid
- Starter $34/mo billed annually
- Included
- email sequences

- no credit rollover
lemlist: email and LinkedIn in the same sequence
MultichannelWhy switch to lemlist. On Snov.io, LinkedIn is a $69-per-account add-on. lemlist builds its sequences around several channels, with inbox warm-up built in. We rated it 4.1 out of 5 in our lemlist review, with 4.5 for features and 4.3 for integrations.
Who it's for. Reps and agencies who personalize heavily and mix email and LinkedIn touches in one sequence.
Who it isn't for. Buyers who care about price first. Value for money is lemlist's weakest score with us (3.4 out of 5).
The catch. Multichannel costs more. The Email plan stays on email; LinkedIn comes with Multichannel, billed per user.
How to move. Import your Snov.io lists via CSV, then rebuild each sequence step by step. Restart warm-up in lemlist before the first send: the reputation you built stays with your inbox, but your sending rhythm starts over.
Pricing. Email at $55 a month billed annually ($69 monthly), Multichannel at $87 per user a month billed annually ($109 monthly), Enterprise on quote. Full breakdown in lemlist pricing.

La Growth Machine: LinkedIn included, credits only spent when data is found
LinkedIn includedWhy switch to La Growth Machine. It's the most direct answer to Snov.io's LinkedIn bill: LinkedIn, email and voice messages come with the Basic plan. Its enrichment credits are only used when data is actually found. It's a European tool and bills in euros.
Who it's for. Sales teams who prospect on LinkedIn first and want invite, message, email and follow-up chained in one workflow.
Who it isn't for. Anyone sending high-volume email without touching LinkedIn. You'd be paying for channels you don't use.
The catch. You pay per identity, meaning per sender profile (one LinkedIn account plus its mailbox). Three reps means three identities. Prices are shown before tax.
How to move. Import your Snov.io lists, then rebuild your sequences as workflows. Disconnect your LinkedIn account from Snov.io first: one profile driven by two tools is the fastest way to hit LinkedIn's daily limits.
Pricing. Basic at €60 a month (€50 billed annually), Pro at €120 (€100), Ultimate at €180 (€150), per identity, before tax.

Lusha: direct dials, at a price you need to watch
Direct dialsWhy switch to Lusha. If you're leaving Snov.io because it doesn't get you reliable phone numbers, Lusha is built for exactly that: 1 credit per email, 5 credits per phone number. We rated it 3.7 out of 5 in our Lusha review, with 4.5 for ease of use and 4.3 for integrations.
Who it's for. Reps who call their prospects and want contact details in one click, from LinkedIn or their CRM.
Who it isn't for. Budget-conscious buyers. Its value-for-money score is the lowest in this guide (2.6 out of 5).
The catch. At 5 credits a number, credits go fast if phones are your goal. Premium jumps to $399.90 a month.
How to move. Connect Lusha to your CRM and enrich the contacts you exported from Snov.io, starting with the ones you actually plan to call.
Pricing. Starter at $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed annually), Pro at $69.90 ($52.45), Premium at $399.90 ($299.95). Full breakdown in Lusha pricing.

Kaspr: unlimited emails, counted phone numbers
PhoneWhy switch to Kaspr. Snov.io is built around email. Kaspr targets people who pick up the phone: on its Starter and Business plans, B2B emails are unlimited, and you get a monthly quota of phone numbers, 100 on Starter and 200 on Business. No more watching a credit pool for every email.
Who it's for. Reps who prospect from LinkedIn and call, especially into European accounts.
Who it isn't for. Anyone who wants to run email campaigns. Kaspr finds contacts; sequences need another tool.
The catch. It's billed per user, and the pricing page doesn't clearly label which price is monthly and which is annual. Check the commitment term at checkout.
How to move. Kaspr won't take your Snov.io lists as they are: you start again from LinkedIn or your CRM. Export your Snov.io lists anyway and use them as a suppression list so you don't call the same people twice.
Pricing. A Free plan at $0, Starter shown at $49 and $65 per user a month, Business at $79 and $99, depending on commitment.

- Free plan at $0

Dropcontact: enrichment that doesn't charge you for misses
European enrichmentWhy switch to Dropcontact. The most common complaint about Snov.io is paying for unusable results. Dropcontact flips that: when it doesn't find an email, the credit goes back to you. On the Growth plan, unused credits roll over. It's a French company, built to enrich contact files rather than search a database.
Who it's for. Teams that already have their prospects (a CRM, a LinkedIn export, an event list) and want to add work emails, especially for contacts in Europe.
Who it isn't for. Anyone who also wants to send campaigns. Dropcontact doesn't send anything, so pair it with a sender like lemlist or Instantly.
The catch. There's no free plan in its pricing grid, the entry price is higher than Snov.io's, and it bills in euros. You pay for reliability, not volume.
How to move. Export your Snov.io prospects with first name, last name, company and website, then run the file through Dropcontact. Keep Snov.io's email status column so you can compare results on a sample before switching everything. Our FullEnrich vs Dropcontact page compares it with its closest rival.
Pricing. Starter at €79 a month, Growth at €120 a month, Enterprise custom, with 20% off on annual billing.

- Starter €79/mo
- Upside
- misses are re-credited

Waalaxy: LinkedIn first, no setup headaches
Simple LinkedInWhy switch to Waalaxy. If Snov.io's LinkedIn automation appealed to you but $69 a month per account felt steep, Waalaxy is built around LinkedIn and is very easy to pick up. We rated it 3.8 out of 5 in our Waalaxy review, with 4.6 for ease of use, its best score.
Who it's for. Solo founders, freelancers and small teams who prospect mainly through LinkedIn invites and messages.
Who it isn't for. Anyone whose outreach runs on high-volume email. That's not its game.
The catch. Value for money is its weak spot with us (3.2 out of 5), prices are in euros, and the Business plan is billed monthly.
How to move. Disconnect your LinkedIn account from Snov.io first, then connect it to Waalaxy. Rebuild your campaigns from the messages you saved and start small while you find your rhythm again.
Pricing. €19, €49 and €69 a month billed annually, Business at €139 monthly. Full breakdown in Waalaxy pricing.

All 9 alternatives side by side
The real price of a prospecting tool is its cost per usable contact, not its sticker price. On Snov.io Starter, $39 a month buys 1,000 credits, or 3.9 cents a credit (2.9 cents on annual billing). If you find and then verify every contact, double that. Add $69 a month for LinkedIn. The table gives one row per tool: on the left what you actually pay for, on the right the entry price and how you move over.
| What you actually pay for | Entry price and migration | |

Leave Snov.io in seven steps
Order matters. Each step protects something: your money, your lists, your sender reputation, and the prospects who already told you no.
The steps
Find your renewal date and what's about to expire
FirstOpen your account settings and write down three things: your renewal date, your credit and recipient balance, and how many LinkedIn accounts are connected. On monthly billing, credits and recipients expire every 30 days, so plan your exit right before renewal, not right after.
Why? An exit that starts the day after a renewal means a month paid for nothing, and the data in an unpaid account can be deleted.
- Time
- 15 minutes
- Risk if skipped
- a wasted month
Spend your remaining credits before you go
SavingsYour monthly credits won't follow you. Use them well: verify the "unknown" emails in the lists you're taking with you, or finish enriching a list in progress. Worth knowing: searching for and saving companies is free, and no credit is charged when no email is found.
Don't launch a huge search you won't have time to work. You'd leave with a file nobody has qualified.
- Free
- company search
- Paid
- 1 credit per email found
Export every list with its statuses and fields
Exit dayExport your lists one by one, to CSV, Excel (XLSX) or Google Sheets. Keep each email's status (valid, unknown, invalid), the tags, the LinkedIn profile, and all custom and enriched fields: those are what power your personalization in the next tool.
Careful: export is only available on a paid plan. If you drop back to the free Trial before exporting, you can't get anything out. Store the files outside Snov.io, on your drive or in your CRM.
- Formats
- CSV, XLSX, Google Sheets
- Requirement
- active paid plan
Pull a list of people you must not contact again
ReputationExport separately the prospects who finished a sequence, those who replied and those who unsubscribed. In the new tool, import that file as a suppression list before any campaign.
This is the most expensive mistake: re-sending the same pitch to someone who said no last month. You lose the prospect, and your inboxes collect spam reports.
- Include
- finished sequences, replies, unsubscribes
Copy your sequences over by hand
Longest stepSnov.io doesn't export sequences. Open each one and copy the subject line and body of every step, the delays and the conditions into a doc. Keep the A/B variants that won.
In the new tool, rebuild only the sequences that actually got replies. A migration is the right moment to drop the ones that never worked.
- Time
- one to two hours per long sequence
- Export
- none for sequences
Reconnect your inboxes and restart warm-up
DeliverabilityYour sending inboxes stay with their provider (Gmail, Outlook, Zoho and so on): nothing to migrate, only to reconnect. Disconnect them from Snov.io, connect them to the new tool, and restart warm-up before the first send; lemlist, Instantly and Hunter all offer it. Set up your custom tracking domain again in the new tool too.
Start with a small volume to valid contacts only, then ramp up in steps.
- Redo
- warm-up and tracking domain
- Avoid
- two tools on one inbox
Turn off renewal and LinkedIn seats, and claim a refund if you qualify
Last dayOnce your exports are checked, disable auto-renewal in your account settings, then disconnect each LinkedIn account: they're billed separately at $69 a month. Only then let the contract run out.
If your plan just auto-renewed and you haven't used it, you have 14 days to request a refund, as long as no quota was used. Email help@snov.io or use the chat.
- Refund
- 14 days, quota untouched
- Contact
- help@snov.io or chat

What makes a Snov.io exit go wrong
The same mistakes keep showing up in user reviews. None of them is technical. They're timing and method slips, and each one costs more than the fifteen minutes it would have taken to avoid it.
Cancelling renewal before exporting
No paid plan, no export. And at the end of the contract, data can be deleted with no way back. An account left without renewal for 90 days counts as abandoned. Export first, cancel second.
Importing "unknown" emails as if they were good
Yellow means the tool couldn't confirm the address. Blasting those contacts from freshly reconnected inboxes drives your bounce rate up at the worst possible moment. Verify them first, or park them for later.
Forgetting the LinkedIn seat that's still running
The LinkedIn seat is billed separately from the plan. Cancel the plan without disconnecting it, or plug the same profile into a second tool while Snov.io still runs it, and you either pay twice or hit LinkedIn's daily limits.
Counting on a refund
The rule is no refunds, with a few narrow exceptions. Several users describe refund requests that went unanswered. Don't pay for one more month hoping to get it back: leave before renewal.
Comparing prices without comparing units
Snov.io bills per credit, La Growth Machine per identity, Kaspr per user, Lusha per credit with 5 credits per number. Compare on your real situation: contacts to find each month, share of phone numbers, number of senders. Our pages on Apollo alternatives, lemlist alternatives and Instantly alternatives go deeper, and our best cold email tools ranking puts them all in one list.
Moving the whole database at once
Run the new tool on a sample of 100 to 200 contacts you know well. You'll see right away whether it finds more than Snov.io in your industry and country, before you pay a year upfront.
- Renewal date, credit balance and LinkedIn seats noted
- Remaining credits spent on the lists you're keeping
- Every list exported with statuses, tags and custom fields
- Suppression list (finished sequences, replies, unsubscribes) imported first
- Useful sequences copied over, the rest dropped
- Inboxes reconnected, warm-up restarted, tracking domain redone
- First sends limited to valid emails
- Renewal and LinkedIn seats turned off after the exports
Snov.io alternative: frequently asked questions
What's the best free Snov.io alternative?
Apollo, with its $0 Free plan: it's the most complete free option in this guide for finding and contacting prospects. Hunter gives you 50 credits a month, the same number as Snov.io's Trial. Kaspr has a Free plan too. Keep in mind that Snov.io's free Trial exports nothing: if you built a list there, you need a paid month to get it out.
What's the cheapest alternative to Snov.io?
For finding emails, Hunter Starter at $34 a month billed annually for 2,000 credits, or 1.7 cents a credit. For high-volume sending, Instantly Growth at $37.60 a month billed annually. For LinkedIn only, Waalaxy from €19 a month billed annually. The cheapest option depends on what you were really using Snov.io for.
Is Snov.io still worth it in 2026?
Yes, if you prospect mostly by email at low volume and pay annually to keep your credits. Its support gets a lot of praise and its Chrome extension is rated 4.9 out of 5. No, if you want LinkedIn ($69 per account on top), more than 3 warm-up inboxes without jumping to $99, or reliable data in a market where it struggles.
Which Snov.io alternative has the best phone numbers?
Kaspr if you want a fixed quota: 100 numbers a month on Starter, 200 on Business, with unlimited emails. Lusha if you'd rather pay as you go: 5 credits per number. For heavy calling, Kaspr is more predictable; for a few targeted calls, Lusha is enough. Our Lusha alternatives page covers more options.
What happens to my data if I stop paying Snov.io?
At the end of the contract it's disabled, archived or deleted where possible, and deletion can't be reversed. An account with no renewal for 90 days counts as abandoned, and Snov.io can delete the data you uploaded. Export before you cancel.
Snov.io vs Hunter: which one should I keep for finding emails?
Hunter if you want a simple grid and cheaper credits (1.7 cents on annual Starter, against 2.9 cents on Snov.io's annual Starter). Snov.io if you also want campaigns with LinkedIn steps and more recipients a month. Either way, monthly credits don't roll over.
Which Snov.io alternative works best for agencies?
Instantly, because you connect unlimited inboxes without paying per seat, which suits several clients and domains. If your clients want LinkedIn too, lemlist's Multichannel plan or La Growth Machine fit better, but both cost more per sender. Our cold email tools for agencies ranking goes further.
Do my Snov.io credits roll over if I switch to annual billing?
Yes for credits: rollover exists on annual plans or with an active renewal. No for campaign recipients, which expire after 30 days in every case. Enrichment tokens last 90 days. If you're about to leave, switching to annual just to keep credits rarely makes sense.
