Vidyard alternatives: where to go, and how to leave without breaking anything
Six destinations, one per reason to leave, and a seven-step exit plan.
The short answer: Sendspark if you send personalized prospecting videos and want HubSpot on the entry plan, Loom if your videos are mostly explainers and per-seat cost is the problem, Hippo Video if you want a full sales video tool for less per seat, Claap if you want a European vendor with euro pricing and EU hosting, Wistia if your videos live on your website, and BombBomb if you nurture clients with video email. Before you pick, remember two things: download your videos while you're still on a paid plan, and never delete the account while old outreach emails are still circulating. We compared these destinations and their exit paths from Vidyard in 2026.
The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.
Why teams are moving off Vidyard
Credit where it's due: Vidyard is still a strong outbound sales tool. Its view notifications, Salesforce sync and per-viewer analytics are hard to beat, and it scores well on the big review sites. But six complaints keep coming up among people who leave, and most of them are about the pricing model, not the video quality. If you're still weighing the big names, our async video tools ranking gives you the full picture.
Per-seat pricing adds up fast
Starter costs $59 per seat per month billed annually, or $89 month to month. A five-rep team pays at least $3,540 a year. And Starter doesn't connect your CRM: that takes Teams, which is quote-only and starts at five users. In head-to-head reviews against Loom, cost per seat is the most common complaint.
The free plan got smaller
The free plan gives you 5 recorded videos a month, 30 minutes max each, and no video hosting. It shrank recently: a pricing tracker logged a drop from 15 to 5 videos a month between late 2025 and early 2026. One reviewer says their team lost a lot of videos when features were pulled from the free version.
No downloads on free, no bulk export
Downloading is a paid feature, starting at Starter. Even then, you download one video at a time from its edit page. There's no bulk export. If you have two hundred prospecting videos, your exit needs a schedule. Free users say the same thing in reviews, almost word for word.
CRM features sit behind Teams
Viewer identification and view alerts inside Salesforce are limited to Teams and Enterprise with the integration. For HubSpot, the Video Agent app needs Starter plus the Video Agent add-on ($24 per seat per month annually) or Teams, and a HubSpot Pro or Enterprise account. Plenty of buyers only find this out after signing.
Plans keep changing
The Pro plan was retired in 2025 and its subscribers moved to Starter at the same price. Cancel and come back, though, and you pay the standard Starter rate. Add recent reviews about annual renewals charged without a reminder and billing emails arriving after cancellation, and trust wears thin.
A Chrome extension people find flaky
Reviewers describe an extension that freezes, pops up when they don't want it, and links that behave differently from one browser to the next. The built-in editor feels limited, and customizing the landing page takes code. None of this is a deal breaker alone, but for a rep recording twenty videos a day, it grates.
You're leaving because… go to…
The right Vidyard alternative depends on what's pushing you out. Usually one row fits. Each card jumps to the full profile below.
HubSpot from Solo, $39 a month billed annually.
Your videos are mostly explainers, internal or for customersLoomBusiness at $18 per user per month.
You want a full sales video tool for less per seatHippo VideoPro at $20 per user billed annually.
You want a European vendor and euro pricingClaapEU hosting, Pro at €24 a month billed annually.
Your videos live on your website and feed marketingWistiaBusiness at $79 a month billed annually.
You nurture client relationships with video emailBombBombCore at $36 per user billed annually.
Vidyard alternatives, one by one
For each tool: why to move there, who it's for, its main limit, how to get there from Vidyard, and what it costs. Prices are what each vendor shows in 2026, in US dollars except Claap, which lists euros. Only Wistia has a full review on our site, so it's the only one with a score. Bonjoro didn't make the list: its pricing page shows conflicting amounts, and we don't publish a price we can't read clearly.
The tools
Sendspark: personalized video prospecting, with CRM on the first plan
ProspectingWhy move to Sendspark. If you used Vidyard for outbound, Sendspark is the closest match in spirit, with one difference that changes the bill: HubSpot is included on Solo and Salesforce from Growth. At Vidyard, the same thing needs a quote-only Teams plan. Sendspark is built to send personalized videos at scale, and it prices seats in bundles rather than per head.
Who it's for. Solo reps and small teams prospecting with video who want views to land in the CRM. Solo is $49 a month, or $39 billed annually, for one seat. Growth is $99 a month ($69 annually) for three seats, which works out to $23 per seat. Team is $299 ($199) for ten seats, Business $699 ($499) for twenty-five.
Who should skip it. Anyone wanting a free plan for a handful of videos: there isn't one, just a 7-day trial with no card. And a team of four, which pays for the ten-seat bundle or two Growth bundles.
The catch. Bundles create big jumps. Going from 3 to 4 seats moves you from Growth to Team, $130 more per month on annual billing. Plan your headcount a year out before you pick.
How to migrate. There's no Vidyard importer. Download the videos you still use (templates, intros), upload them to your Sendspark library, and connect HubSpot or Salesforce before you record anything new so the first views sync from day one. Use the 7-day trial on real prospects, not on coworkers.

Loom: the simplest option and the cheapest per seat, for internal use
SimplestWhy move to Loom. If your team mostly recorded walkthroughs, quick demos or replies to existing customers, you were paying Vidyard for sales features you never used. Loom covers the basics with an extension and app people find easy, and Business costs $18 per user per month, under a third of Vidyard Starter on annual billing.
Who it's for. Product, support and customer success teams, plus reps who send little cold video. The free Starter plan is fine for a trial run: 25 videos, 5 minutes per screen recording, 720p. Business + AI at $24 adds the AI features and comes with a 14-day trial.
Who should skip it. Sales teams that live in Salesforce. Loom lists Salesforce only on Enterprise, quote-only, and still in beta. If CRM view alerts are the reason you use video at all, Loom won't replace Vidyard.
The catch. The free plan caps screen recordings at 5 minutes, and the annual discount ("up to 17%") isn't shown as a dollar amount. Ask for the exact figure before paying for a year.
How to migrate. Loom doesn't import from Vidyard. Don't try to move everything: download only the videos still in use (guides, demos) and upload them to your Loom library. For the rest, re-recording is often faster than downloading one by one. Thinking of going the other way? Our switch from Loom guide covers why people leave it.

Hippo Video: stay on a sales video platform, pay less per seat
Sales, cheaperWhy move to Hippo Video. It's the tool most often pitched as the cheaper Vidyard. You keep a platform built for sales (recording, personalization, video pages, tracking), with a free plan to start and paid plans well below Vidyard's.
Who it's for. Sales teams that want to keep their video habits and cut the bill. Pro is $20 per user per month billed annually, $30 monthly. Teams is $60 annually ($75 monthly). Enterprise is $80 per user annually with a ten-seat minimum. There's a 7-day trial.
Who should skip it. A solo rep who needs CRM sync: Pro has no CRM integration; HubSpot comes with Teams, Salesforce only with Enterprise. At $60 per seat annually, Teams isn't much cheaper than Vidyard Starter.
The catch. The price gap shrinks as soon as you need the CRM. Enterprise requires ten seats, so $800 a month minimum on annual billing. Run the numbers on the plan that actually includes your integration, not the headline price.
How to migrate. No documented Vidyard import. List the integrations you really use at Vidyard, check which Hippo Video plan includes them, then start the 7-day trial: a week goes fast. Download your template videos as 1080p MP4 and rebuild your video pages on arrival.

Claap: a European vendor with euro pricing and wide CRM support
European vendorWhy move to Claap. Claap is a French company that hosts in Europe, which matters if your legal team asks where customer-facing video is stored. It mixes async video with meeting recording, and its Business plan connects to a wider CRM list than most: HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio, Pipedrive and Gong.
Who it's for. Sales and customer success teams on Pipedrive or Attio, which Vidyard doesn't serve as well, and anyone selling into Europe. Pro is €30 a month, or €24 billed annually; Business is €60, or €48 annually. The free Basic plan gives 10 videos per user, 300 minutes in total, up to five Basic licenses.
Who should skip it. Teams that want CRM sync without paying for Business, since that's where it starts. And high-volume cold outreach: Claap leans toward meetings and account follow-up.
The catch. The free plan's 300 minutes are shared across the whole team, not per person. Paid trials are on request, not one click.
How to migrate. No Vidyard importer announced. Request a Business trial and mention your CRM, connect it first, then upload the files you downloaded from Vidyard. Annual billing saves 20%: decide at the end of the trial, once you've seen views show up in your CRM.

Wistia: when your videos live on your site, not in emails
MarketingWhy move to Wistia. Some Vidyard customers mainly use it to host website videos: demos, customer stories, webinars. For that job, Wistia goes further. Our review scores it 3.8 out of 5, with 4.5 for features and 4.2 for ease of use, and marketing integrations (4.1) are a strength. Our full Wistia review breaks down every criterion.
Who it's for. Marketing teams that want lead capture inside the player, viewing stats on their pages and a link to their marketing automation platform. Business costs $79 a month billed annually.
Who should skip it. Reps sending personalized cold videos. That's not Wistia's game, and its 2.4 out of 5 for value tells you the rest: cost grows with your library.
The catch. The jump from free to Business is steep, with no middle tier, and support scores 3.8 in our review. Our Wistia pricing breakdown runs the math for your library size.
How to migrate. Download the Source file (original format, best quality) of every video embedded on your site, upload it to Wistia, then swap embed codes page by page. Keep Vidyard running until every page is switched: a video deleted at Vidyard turns into a blank box on your site.

BombBomb: video email for nurturing client relationships
Client nurtureWhy move to BombBomb. BombBomb grew out of follow-up video email: thanking a client, nudging a deal, staying in touch. If you used Vidyard less for cold outreach and more for keeping a book of business warm (real estate, mortgage, insurance, advisory), it's built for your job, at a much lower price per seat.
Who it's for. Advisors and small sales teams who manage clients over time. Core is $42 per user per month, $36 billed annually. Core + Copilot, with the AI assistant, is $70 monthly or $56 annually. Enterprise is quote-only. A free trial is available.
Who should skip it. Teams that depend on HubSpot or Salesforce. BombBomb's pricing page doesn't mention them; the integrations listed on Copilot are Microsoft Dynamics, Outreach and Total Expert. Get a written answer on your CRM before you sign.
The catch. No permanent free plan, and the trial length isn't shown. It's also less geared to high-volume cold outreach than Sendspark.
How to migrate. No Vidyard importer. Download the follow-up videos you still use and rebuild your email templates in BombBomb. If you run Outreach, connect it during the trial: that's where you'll see whether views come through.

Vidyard and 6 alternatives side by side
Our default picks: Sendspark for a rep or small team prospecting out of HubSpot, Loom for a team that explains more than it prospects, Claap for a team that wants a European vendor. The table compares the entry paid plan and CRM access, the two things that push people off Vidyard.

Leave Vidyard in seven steps
Order matters. Each step protects something: your files, the links already sitting in prospects' inboxes, your CRM data, and your credit card. Budget one to two weeks for a small team.
The steps
Write down your renewal date
FirstOpen billing and note your next renewal date. Some users report being charged for a full year with no reminder. Set an alert a month ahead. If you're a former Pro customer now on Starter, remember that canceling and coming back puts you on the standard Starter rate: decide once.
- Time
- 5 minutes

Decide what's worth keeping
There's no bulk export, so every video comes out by hand. Sort first. Keep videos embedded on your site, templates, demos, and anything with legal or commercial value. Two-year-old prospecting videos sent once rarely justify the download time. A spreadsheet with title, purpose and embed page will carry you through the whole move.
- Time
- 1 to 2 hours
- Output
- keep list
Download while you're still paying
TrapFree accounts can't download. Do it before your paid period ends. From each video's edit page, pick Source (the original file) for best quality, or MP4 at 1080p or 720p for smaller files. On Teams or Enterprise, check that you have the "Download Videos" permission, or ask your admin. Export your analytics reports too: view data doesn't travel with the file.
- Best format
- Source
- Plan needed
- Starter or above
Unplug Vidyard from the CRM, plug in the new tool
In HubSpot, uninstall the Vidyard app. In Salesforce, have your admin remove the Vidyard object from page layouts. On the Vidyard side, you need the "Edit Integrations" permission to disconnect cleanly. Then connect the new tool and check the plan: HubSpot is on Sendspark Solo, CRMs come with Claap Business, and at Hippo Video, HubSpot comes with Teams and Salesforce with Enterprise.
- Who
- CRM admin
- Permission
- "Edit Integrations"
Upload videos and replace embeds
None of the alternatives here import straight from Vidyard, so you upload files yourself. Start with website embeds, following your spreadsheet page by page, and replace each embed code. Check every page in a private window: a leftover Vidyard player shows up right away.

Keep old links alive
TrapThis is the step everyone forgets. When you cancel Starter, your videos stay and shared links keep playing: the account just drops to free. Keep that free account and log in at least once a year, because a free account inactive for a year after the last login is deleted after 90 days' notice. Don't delete individual videos either: they'd stop playing everywhere they were shared.
- Keep
- the free account
- at least yearly
Cancel first, delete much later
Cancel the paid plan: features stay until the period ends. Wait until running sequences finish and old emails stop generating views. Only then, if you really want the account gone, email support from the account's address. Data is purged 90 days later, and every shared or embedded video stops working. Teams and Enterprise data is deleted 90 days after the contract ends.
- Purge delay
- 90 days
- Request
- support, from account email

What makes a Vidyard exit go wrong
Failed exits look alike. None comes from a bug: they're oversights, each paid for in lost videos or dead links in prospects' inboxes.
Dropping to free before downloading
Once the account is back on free, the download button is gone. If you didn't grab your files first, you'll pay for another month of Starter to get them out.
Deleting the account too early
Every link sent to prospects and every video embedded on your site stops. A prospect opening last year's email sees a player that won't load.
Assuming Starter includes the CRM
Many buyers compare Vidyard Starter with an alternative's entry plan when their real need was the CRM. Compare the plans that include your integration, on both sides.
Picking Loom for a Salesforce team
Loom is cheaper, but Salesforce is Enterprise-only and in beta. If your team lives in Salesforce, $18 Loom doesn't do the same job.
Letting the free account go dormant
A free account with no login for a year is deleted after notice. One login a year keeps old links alive: put it in your calendar.
Missing the annual renewal
Reviews describe annual charges with no prior reminder. Cancel at least a month before renewal and keep the written confirmation.
- Renewal date noted, alert set a month ahead
- Keep list with embed pages
- Source files downloaded before dropping to free
- Analytics reports exported
- Vidyard app removed from HubSpot or Salesforce
- Free account kept while old emails circulate
Vidyard alternatives: frequently asked questions
Is Vidyard still free?
Yes, but the free plan is narrow now: 5 recorded videos a month, 30 minutes max each, no video hosting and no downloads. It's for trying the recorder, not for running outreach. For real free use, Loom's Starter (25 videos) or Claap's Basic (10 videos per user) go further.
How much is Vidyard per user?
Starter is $59 per seat per month billed annually, $89 monthly. Teams (five users and up) and Enterprise are quote-only. The Video Agent add-on is $24 per seat per month annually on Starter.
Is Loom better than Vidyard for sales?
Not for Salesforce-driven outbound, where Vidyard's CRM view alerts matter. Loom wins if your videos are mostly explainers and price matters: $18 per user against $59. For lower-cost prospecting with HubSpot, Sendspark is often the best middle ground.
Does Vidyard integrate with Salesforce on Starter?
No. Viewer identification and view alerts in Salesforce are limited to Teams and Enterprise. For HubSpot, the Video Agent app needs Starter plus the Video Agent add-on, or Teams, and a HubSpot Pro or Enterprise account. A common snag: the HubSpot user must have the same email address as in Vidyard.
How do I download all my Vidyard videos?
One at a time, from each video's edit page, as Source or as 1080p or 720p MP4, and only on a paid plan. There's no official bulk export. Sort first and only download what you still use.
What happens to my links if I cancel Vidyard?
They keep working. Canceling Starter drops you to free; your videos stay and shared links still play. They only break if you delete the video or the account, or if the free account sits a year without a login.
How do I delete my Vidyard account?
Email support from the account's address. Final deletion happens 90 days later, and every shared or embedded video stops working at that point. Download and replace everything first.
What's the cheapest Vidyard alternative?
On paid plans, Loom Business ($18 per user) and Hippo Video Pro ($20 per user annually) are the cheapest. For a three-person team with CRM, Sendspark Growth is $69 a month annually for all three seats, HubSpot and Salesforce included.
