Overview

What changes for a sales team on Clarify

Answering a pipeline question in a CRM usually means building a view, filtering, exporting. With the connector on, you ask Claude which deals deserve your attention this week. It searches your Clarify data itself, reads the records that matter and answers in the conversation, with your own permissions applied.

Know where to focus. query-data searches companies, people, deals, meetings and tasks together, and get-records opens the full detail of the ones that stand out, AI summaries included.

Fill the pipeline from the chat. find-leads searches Clarify's built-in prospect database by industry, location, headcount or job title, then import-leads brings the chosen ones into your workspace.

Clean up without clicking. merge-records folds duplicates into one record and keeps fields, relationships, list memberships and notes.

What the sheet does not tell you. Eight tools on it are not described under their exact name anywhere, and Clarify's own article lists a different, longer set, sending email among them. Claude cannot use a tool your connection does not show. Two writing tools delete things: custom fields and agents. And nothing runs on its own: no tool fires when a deal changes stage. Clarify also warns its interactive login must be renewed from time to time, which breaks anything scheduled. For background jobs, the Integrations hub gathers automation tools, which do a different job.

Vocabulary

The vocabulary in one minute

Five words you will meet while connecting Clarify.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already own, so Claude can work on it while it answers you.
Tool
One named thing a connector lets Claude do. Claude chooses the ones it needs on its own; the directory sheet lists them by name.
Authorization
The service's own sign-in screen, where you hand Claude the access it will use afterwards. Granted once per person, revocable the same way.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before it goes through with something that changes the account, shown in the chat when it matters.
MCP
The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service.
Connect

Connect Clarify to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

    Find Clarify in Claude

In Claude's settings, open Customize, then Connectors, and look for Clarify. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to add the connector first; after that, each member connects individually.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on its row. Clarify opens its own sign-in page: use the email tied to your Clarify account and choose the organization to grant. If the link breaks later, use Disconnect and reconnect.

  3. 03

    Read the authorization screen

Read the authorization screen before you allow access. It is Clarify's screen, not Claude's, and it decides what the access covers. You can take that access back later from the Clarify side as well.

Tools

The 26 tools of the Claude Clarify connector

Clarify gives Claude 26 tools: 8 that read your account, 10 that change something in it, and 8 no official source describes.

Three groups: what Claude reads, what it changes in your CRM, and what no official source describes under that name. Names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude reads (8)

8 tools

Eight tools that look at your CRM, your lists and your agents without changing anything.

get-current-user

Returns your own Clarify profile with your timezone and current local time, so Claude can read dates and meetings from your point of view.

When it helps
you ask what is on your plate today and Claude needs to know when today starts for you.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

get-schema

Gives the structure of Clarify's entities, built-in and custom, which is useful before Claude queries the CRM or adds anything to it.

When it helps
your team added a custom object for partners and you want Claude to know its fields.
Watch out
Clarify says the schema does not list everything readable; a missing field is unknown, not absent.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

get-records

Opens specific records by their ID with full detail, relationships and the AI summaries Clarify keeps on them. It is the step after a search.

When it helps
before a renewal call, the account manager wants everything on the company and the deal in one answer.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

query-data

Searches and analyzes data across companies, people, deals, meetings, tasks and users in one go. Comments are readable through it as well.

When it helps
a founder asks which open deals have had no meeting in the past month.
Watch out
Clarify notes Claude does not always reach for the connector; naming Clarify in the question helps.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

find-leads

Looks through Clarify's built-in prospect database to find new leads by industry, location, headcount, job title, seniority or funding stage.

When it helps
an SDR wants heads of operations at mid-sized logistics firms in one region.
Watch out
finding is not importing; the leads only land in your CRM through the import tool.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

get-lists

Browses the saved lists, also called views, for an entity type, or fetches one list directly by its ID.

When it helps
you want Claude to work on the list your team calls hot accounts rather than the whole database.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

get-agents

Lists the Clarify agents in your workspace, or fetches a single one by ID. It is a look and nothing more: every agent stays exactly as your team left it.

When it helps
a RevOps lead reviews which agents exist before building a new one.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

get-agent-runs

Shows an agent's run history, or one run by ID, so you can see what it did and when.

When it helps
an agent that enriches new companies seems to have skipped some, and you want to check its latest runs.

What Claude asks for
nothing specific is documented; the general approval rule covers it.
When it helps

Clarify's doc does not say whether edits affect a campaign already sending.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

create-or-update-fields

Approval: see the rule

Creates or updates fields on companies, people, deals or custom objects: renaming, adding or removing select options, changing option colors, setting AI autofill.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

delete-fields

Approval: see the rule

Deletes one or more custom fields from an entity.

What Claude asks for
no source describes a confirmation specific to it; the general approval rule applies.
When it helps
a cleanup of old fields nobody fills anymore.
Watch out

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

create-or-update-agent

Approval: see the rule

Sets up a Clarify agent from scratch, or updates one that already exists, straight from the conversation.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

delete-agent

Approval: see the rule

Deletes an agent by its ID.

What Claude asks for
no confirmation is described for it; see the general approval rule.
When it helps
an old test agent keeps cluttering the list and nobody uses it.
Watch out
check the agent's run history first, in case someone still relies on it.

Sourcedocs.clarify.ai · September 25, 2026 ↗

submit-feedback

Approval: see the rule

Sends feedback or a feature request about the connector itself to the Clarify team.

What Claude asks for
no confirmation is documented for sending feedback; the general rule stands.
When it helps
a tool you need is missing and you want Clarify to hear about it.
Watch out
it reaches Clarify, not your colleagues.

Undocumented (8)

8 tools

The directory publishes these eight names, but no official text describes a tool by these exact names. We will not guess from a name.

create-records

This name sits on the directory sheet, yet no official source documents a tool called exactly this. Clarify's article describes a merged tool under another name instead. Nothing more is published about it.

Watch out
whatever it does, the general approval rules below cover it.

update-records

Another name the sheet lists and no official source documents as such. Better to flag the gap than to fill it with a guess based on how the name sounds.

Watch out
it falls under the same approval rules as the rest.

create-list

Listed on the directory sheet, missing from Clarify's own tool list under this exact spelling. No official source documents it, so this page does not either. The gap is real, not an oversight of ours.

Watch out
treat it under the default approval rule.

update-list

Clarify's article and Claude's pages are both silent on a tool with this name. Its role stays an open question until a source explains it; no official source documents it today.

Watch out
the general approval rules apply to it like any other.

get-campaign

A name on the sheet with no sentence behind it. Clarify documents a tool with a close plural name, and nothing documents this singular one, so we treat it as undocumented.

Watch out
it stays covered by the general approval rules.

list-campaigns

One more name the directory prints without any official description. Rather than infer anything, this page reports the silence: no official source documents it. The directory shows the name; the explanation is simply missing.

Watch out
the default approval rule is what governs it.

create-custom-object

This exact name has no description from Clarify or Anthropic. Clarify's article covers custom objects through a combined tool with a different name, which is not this one as far as any source says.

Watch out
the general approval rules below apply.

update-custom-object

Last of the undocumented set: the sheet lists it, and no official source documents a tool with this name. Nothing more can be said honestly. If Clarify documents it later, this note will follow.

Watch out
whatever it turns out to do, the same approval rules cover it.
Approvals

What Claude asks before acting

By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before any action it takes on an account on your behalf. The request shows up in the conversation right when it matters.

That covers the ten writing tools here, including the ones that delete fields or agents. On Team or Enterprise, owners decide whether members may let certain actions through without being asked each time, and they can cap what a connector may do for the whole organization, for instance leaving reading open and closing writing. Claude works with your rights and nothing more: Clarify says permissions are respected.

Plans

Which Claude plans it runs on

Of the 819 sheets in the official directory, none shows plan availability. The connector-by-connector answer is published nowhere.

The general rule is public: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector for the organization before each member can connect. For the current state, check the connector's sheet in the official directory. Worth knowing: only Clarify documents this connector; no Claude help article covers it.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you; nothing starts when a deal moves or a meeting ends.

The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise: an admin can open actions no public sheet shows. The partner badge is not a security audit either, and Anthropic writes it on every sheet: it does not choose the tools a publisher exposes and does not guarantee they behave as described. Connect only what comes from a publisher you trust. For another CRM-side connector, see the Claude activecampaign connector.

Two official sources disagree

Which list of Clarify tools should you trust?

  • Claude directory sheet ↗September 30, 2026Lists 26 tools, including separate create and update tools for records, lists and custom objects, plus get-campaign and list-campaigns.
  • Clarify's own article ↗September 25, 2026Describes a longer set where those tools are merged into create-or-update tools or renamed, and adds others such as email sending, record deletion and calendar tools.

What this page followsNeither is marked outdated. The directory sheet is what Claude's catalogue shows today, so it sets the list on this page; Clarify's article seems to describe a newer or different version of its server. The tools your own connection displays are the ones that count: check them in Customize, then Connectors.

FAQ

Claude Clarify connector: frequent questions

01What can Claude do with the Clarify connector?
Claude can read and update your Clarify CRM while it answers you. The documented reading tools search companies, people, deals, meetings and tasks, open full records with AI summaries, browse saved lists, search Clarify's prospect database and review agents and their runs. The writing tools merge duplicates, comment on records, import prospects, draft and edit campaigns, manage custom fields and create, update or delete agents. Eight tools on the sheet have no description under their exact name.
02Can Claude create, send or delete things in Clarify?
Yes for creating and deleting, within the documented tools. Claude can import leads, merge records, add comments, draft campaigns, edit them, create or change fields and agents, and delete custom fields or agents. Campaigns are created in draft mode, so nothing is sent at creation. Clarify's article also describes an email-sending tool, but it does not appear on the directory sheet today, so this page does not count it. Every one of these actions falls under the approval rules described above.
03Does Claude ask before changing my Clarify data?
Claude's default is to ask for confirmation before any action it takes on an account on your behalf. No source describes a confirmation specific to a Clarify tool, so that default covers merges, imports, campaign edits and deletions alike. On Team or Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let some actions through without being asked, and they can close writing for the whole organization, leaving only search. Clarify itself describes no extra safeguard.
04Which Claude plans is the Clarify connector on?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. The general rule says remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector for the organization before members connect. The connector's sheet in the official directory is the only place showing its current state for your account.
05Does Claude see our whole Clarify CRM?
No, Claude works with your rights and nothing more. Clarify states that permissions are respected and data is retrieved in real time, so Claude reaches what your own Clarify access reaches, in the organization you chose when you signed in. A colleague with broader rights will get broader answers to the same question. On a Claude Team or Enterprise workspace, owners can further restrict what the connector may do. Clarify does not document any wider view for Claude.
06Why does Claude answer without checking Clarify?
Because Claude decides when to reach for a connector, and a question does not always read as a CRM question. Clarify's advice is simple: name Clarify in your question, so Claude really knows where to look. The same goes for follow-ups: if an answer seems to come from general knowledge rather than your records, ask again and mention Clarify by name. It is a Claude behavior, not something Clarify controls.
07Claude or an automation tool for Clarify?
They do different jobs, so choose by use. Claude with the connector is for work in the moment: a pipeline question, a cleanup, a campaign draft, a batch of prospects to import. Nothing runs on its own, and Clarify notes its interactive login needs renewing from time to time. Jobs that must run every night without you are automation work, better handled by a tool built to run in the background.
