What changes when Claude can search Cortellis Regulatory
Comparing what health authorities expect in several countries usually means reading guidance after guidance. With this connector, someone on a regulatory team asks Claude a question in plain language and Claude calls an agent from Clarivate that searches Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence, then summarizes the requirements with references to authoritative sources.
Line up several markets at once. Before planning a multi-country launch, a regulatory lead asks how labeling requirements differ between regions, and Cortellis_Regulatory_Intelligence_Agent summarizes them side by side.
Find your way through a dense guidance. Instead of scrolling a long document, ask the specific question and get the relevant requirement back with its source.
Answer an internal question with evidence. When a project team asks whether a requirement applies, the answer arrives referenced, ready to forward.
What it will not do: Claude reaches only the content your Cortellis subscription and licenses cover, and a valid Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence subscription is required. The listing says users can track regulatory changes, but no tool is tied to that, and the connector sends nothing on its own. If you want changes collected on a schedule and pushed to a team, that is a job for an automation tool, a different trade covered from the Integrations hub.
Five words worth a minute
The Claude terms this page relies on.
- Connector
- A link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can search it while answering you.
- Tool
- One named action a connector hands Claude. Here it is a single agent, which Claude calls by itself when a question needs it.
- Authorization
- The service's sign-in screen, where you log in to Cortellis and grant the access Claude will use. You can take it back later.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before an action that would change an account, shown in the chat when it comes up.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on, which is what lets an assistant like Claude query an outside service such as Cortellis.
Connect Cortellis Regulatory in three steps
- 01
Open the connector list
In Claude's settings, go to Customize, then Connectors, and find Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner must enable it before members sign in.
- 02
Log in to Cortellis
Click Connect on its row and sign in to Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence in the window Clarivate opens. If the link stops working, Disconnect and connect it again.
- 03
Review the access
Read the authorization screen before accepting. It belongs to Clarivate's service, not to Claude, and decides what the access covers. You can revoke that access later if you need to.
The single tool, which only reads
Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence gives Claude 1 tool: 1 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.
One agent that searches and summarizes, leaving everything unchanged. Its name stays exactly as Claude shows it.

What Claude reads (1)
1 toolA search and summary over Clarivate's curated regulatory content.
Cortellis_Regulatory_Intelligence_Agent
An agent from Clarivate that searches Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence and summarizes regulatory requirements across countries and organizations, so Claude can give a referenced answer instead of a guess.
What Claude checks with you
By default, Claude stops and asks for confirmation before each action it takes on an account for someone.
This connector's only tool reads, and no source describes a confirmation specific to it, so the default rule is the one that applies. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let some actions run without being asked every time, and they can restrict what a connector does across the organization. Claude also works within the rights of the person who connected, so it reaches only what that person's Cortellis license covers.
Which Claude plans can use it
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector. The gap is in the catalog itself, not in our research.
Only the general rule is published: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, and on Team and Enterprise an Owner or Primary Owner opens a connector for the organization before members connect. Clarivate adds its own requirement, a Cortellis subscription. The connector's sheet in the official directory is the only place that shows its current state.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls the agent while it answers, so nothing happens when a regulation changes.
Only Clarivate documents this connector: no Claude help page covers it. By default its sheet exposes reading only, an observed floor and not a guarantee, since an administrator can open actions no public sheet lists. The directory badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it does not choose a publisher's tools or vouch for their behavior. For a connector from a different field, see the Claude affinity connector.
