Claude DirectBooker connectorWhat Claude can do in your DirectBooker account.
The Claude DirectBooker connector exposes 7 tools. All 7 read, 0 write and 0 are undocumented. Here is what Claude finds about hotels, rates and rooms, why the actual booking still happens on the hotel's own website, and what the publisher rules out.

What changes when Claude plans your stay with DirectBooker
You describe the trip in plain words (the city, the dates, the vibe, the budget) and Claude does the legwork. It searches properties, checks live availability and the price you would pay by booking direct, pulls photos and reviews, and hands you a link to reserve on the hotel's official website.
A shortlist that fits the brief. Ask for a quiet place near a conference center and Claude runs hotel-search and lays out the options, each pointing to the hotel's own booking channel.
A price check on a hotel you already like. Name the property and Claude first finds it with hotel-lookup-by-name-and-coordinates, then asks hotel-availability-lowest-direct-rate for the real-time rate on your dates, handy when a third-party site shows you a number to compare.
A feel for the place before committing. hotel-photos brings the gallery and hotel-details the description, facilities and guest reviews.
What it does not do: Claude never completes the reservation. Every result points to the hotel's own booking channel, and you finish there. DirectBooker also says its service is for travelers planning their own trips, including work trips, not for agencies, rate monitoring or scripted access. And nothing runs on its own: Claude will not watch a price overnight. That kind of scheduled check belongs to an automation tool, a different job altogether; the Integrations hub covers that side. For a connector on the sales side instead, see the Claude activecampaign connector.
Four words before your first search
The Claude vocabulary used on this page, in one minute.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and a service, so Claude can use that service while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named job the connector lets Claude carry out. Claude chooses the right one mid-answer; the directory lists each by name.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before doing something that changes an account, shown in the conversation when it matters.
- MCP
- The shared standard behind connectors, the piece that lets an assistant such as Claude talk to an outside service like DirectBooker.
Connect DirectBooker to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find DirectBooker in Claude
Open Claude's settings, then Customize and Connectors, and look up DirectBooker. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector before members can each connect.
- 02
Start the connection
Click Connect on its row. DirectBooker states that no account and no sign-in are needed for hotel search, so there is no login of your own to go through. If the link misbehaves later, Disconnect and connect again.
- 03
Mention it when you want it
Ask about a stay in plain words. DirectBooker adds that typing @directbooker at the start of your prompt calls its hotel prices explicitly. Otherwise Claude picks the tools it needs on its own while it answers.
The 7 tools, all for looking things up
DirectBooker gives Claude 7 tools: 7 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.
Sorted by what they do. Names are shown exactly as Claude displays them.

What Claude reads (7)
7 toolsSeven tools that look up hotels, rates and photos, and alter nothing.
hotel-search
Searches and compares hotels and other lodging worldwide whenever you ask about finding, choosing or reserving a place to stay, and steers you to each property's own booking channel for the reservation.
hotel-details
Pulls the full profile of one property: description, amenities, photos, guest reviews and the link for booking direct.
hotel-availability-lowest-direct-rate
Checks real-time availability and price for one or several hotels on given dates and occupancy, without the full property profile.
hotel-lookup-by-name-and-coordinates
Matches a hotel you name, plus its location, to DirectBooker's own reference so the price and detail tools can work on it.
hotel-lookup-by-google-place-id
Runs the same matching from a Google Place ID instead of a name, so Claude can then ask for the details or the direct rate of that exact property.
hotel-photos
Brings up a hotel's photo gallery, from room types to common areas, so you can judge the style before deciding.
create-context
Opens the conversation context the publisher sets up for its tools and hands back an identifier, a contextId. Nothing in any account is touched.
What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it takes on an account on someone's behalf. DirectBooker lists all seven tools as read-only, and no source attaches a confirmation to any of them.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let certain actions through without a prompt each time. They can also restrict what a connector does for the whole organization, and that setting binds everyone. Claude works with the access of the person who connected and nothing beyond. The official read or write tag per tool sits only in a signed-in account's settings, never on a public page.
Which plans can use it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory states plan availability. For DirectBooker, as for every connector, that answer is published nowhere.
What is documented is the general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables a connector for the organization before members can connect. The live state for DirectBooker is on its sheet in the official directory, the one place kept up to date.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you, so nothing fires when a rate drops or a room frees up.
Seven reading tools are an observed floor, not a guarantee: an administrator can open actions that no public sheet shows. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it neither picks a publisher's tools nor vouches for how they behave. Everything on this page comes from DirectBooker's own documentation and server; no Claude help article covers this connector.
