Overview

What changes when Claude can query Funnel

Your ad, analytics and commerce numbers already land in Funnel. With the connector, you ask Claude a question in everyday words, such as how spend compares across channels or whether you are on track for the month, and it finds the right fields, pulls the table and reads it back to you. Nothing in your Funnel setup gets touched.

Compare channels without building a report. A growth lead wants six months of spend, CPA and revenue side by side; Claude opens the workspace with load_workspace, then runs query_data in its channel comparison mode.

Speak your team's language. Through get_workspace_context, Claude picks up the conventions and terms an administrator wrote for the workspace, so "paid social" means what it means internally.

Go down to the row. When an aggregate hides the problem, prepare_data loads raw lines and get_dimension_values lists the actual campaign or country names to filter on.

What it will not do: by default its sheet exposes only reading, and Funnel states that sources, fields, dashboards and other configuration stay untouched. Nothing runs when new data arrives; Claude acts only while it answers. One tool, search_tools, has no description anywhere. For scheduled reports pushed every Monday, look at an automation platform; the Integrations hub lists the ones we cover.

Vocabulary

Five words before you connect

The Claude vocabulary around this connector, in one minute.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can work in it while answering you.
Tool
One named capability the connector opens to Claude. Claude chooses the ones it needs by itself; the directory lists them by name.
Authorization
Funnel's own sign-in screen, where you hand Claude the access it will use. Granted once per person, and you can revoke it.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before acting on an account for you, shown in the conversation at the moment it matters.
MCP
The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as Funnel.
Connect

Connect Funnel to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

    Find Funnel in Claude

Open Claude's settings, go through Customize then Connectors, and look for Funnel in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to switch the connector on first, before each member can sign in.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on its row, then sign in to Funnel in the window Funnel opens itself, with the account that can see your workspaces. If the link breaks later, use Disconnect and connect again.

  3. 03

    Read the authorization screen

Go through Funnel's authorization screen before you accept. It belongs to the service, not to Claude, and it decides what the access covers. The access is granted once, for you alone, and you can take it back the same way later.

Tools

The 8 tools, grouped by what they do

Funnel gives Claude 8 tools: 7 that read your account, 0 that change something in it, and 1 no official source describes.

Two groups: seven tools Funnel documents as reading, and one tool no source explains. Names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude reads (7)

7 tools

Seven tools that open workspaces, look up fields and pull figures without changing your setup.

get_dimension_values

Lists the real values a dimension takes over a date range, for example the campaign names or countries present in your data, so Claude filters on what exists rather than on a guess.

When it helps
you want last quarter's results for one product line and need its exact label.

Sourcehelp.funnel.io · September 2, 2026 ↗

get_workspace_context

Fetches the conventions, business rules and vocabulary an administrator wrote down for the workspace, so the answers Claude gives match how your team defines things. Funnel suggests calling it once, right after loading.

When it helps
your company counts "qualified leads" differently from the ad platforms.

Sourcehelp.funnel.io · September 2, 2026 ↗

list_workspaces

Returns every Funnel workspace your login can reach, sorted by subscription, with the identifiers Claude reuses in its next calls. Every other documented tool works inside one of those workspaces.

When it helps
an agency analyst checks which client workspaces the account can query.

Sourcehelp.funnel.io · September 2, 2026 ↗

load_workspace

Opens one workspace and reports its connected platforms, how many fields it holds, its reporting currency and the health of each data source. Funnel requires this before any field search or query.

When it helps
numbers look thin and you want to know if a source is delayed.
Watch out
it can flag sources as unauthorized, delayed or invalid.

Sourcehelp.funnel.io · September 2, 2026 ↗

prepare_data

Loads unaggregated, line-level records, without the aggregation the other queries apply. Like any data query, it needs the workspace to be loaded first with load_workspace.

When it helps
tracking down one odd day of conversions that a weekly total smooths over.

Sourcehelp.funnel.io · September 2, 2026 ↗

query_data

Pulls aggregated advertising figures from your connected platforms into a table Claude can analyse. Funnel lists five modes for it: plain query, channel comparison, aggregation, metric computation and restore.

When it helps
month-to-date spend by channel against budget.
Watch out
500 rows by default; the rest stays on Funnel's side.

Sourcehelp.funnel.io · September 2, 2026 ↗

search_fields

Finds dimensions, measures and metrics inside the loaded workspace. Funnel gives it three modes: semantic, browse and search. It only runs once load_workspace has opened the workspace, which Funnel makes mandatory.

When it helps
you ask about "spend on Facebook" and Claude has to locate the matching field first.

Not documented (1)

1 tool

Listed on the directory sheet by name only. No official source says what it reads or changes.

search_tools

Funnel's tool table skips this entry, and no Claude page covers it either: only its name appears in the directory. We make no claim about its effect, and the general approval rule further down is the only reference that applies.

Approvals

What Claude asks before acting

By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before each action it takes on an account in your place. The request appears in the conversation, at the moment it matters.

Funnel's help points to a setting on Claude's side: in the connector's tool permissions you choose, for all tools at once or one by one, whether each needs approval, is always allowed or is denied. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may skip repeated requests, and they can cap what a connector does for the whole organisation. Claude also works with your rights only: a workspace your Funnel login cannot open stays closed to it.

Plans

Which plans include it

None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows availability by plan. Connector by connector, that answer is published nowhere: it is a real hole in the catalogue.

What is published is the general rule: remote connectors are open to every user on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector for the organisation before members connect. For this one's current state, check its sheet in the official directory. Only Funnel documents this connector; no Claude help page covers it.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: nothing fires when a campaign overspends or fresh data lands.

By default, the sheet exposes only reading, which is an observed floor, not a guarantee. The partner badge in the directory is not a security audit, and Anthropic notes on every sheet that it neither picks a publisher's tools nor guarantees how they behave. Connect only what comes from a publisher you trust. To compare with a connector from another publisher, see the Claude activecampaign connector page.

FAQ

Questions about the Claude Funnel connector

01What can Claude do with the Funnel connector?
Claude can read and analyse the marketing data you already centralise in Funnel. Seven documented tools list your workspaces, load one with its platforms and source health, fetch the team's conventions, search fields, list the real values of a dimension, run aggregated queries with channel comparisons and computed ratios, and load raw row-level data. An eighth tool appears on the directory sheet with no official description, so this page makes no claim about it.
02Can Claude change my Funnel setup or delete data?
No, not with the tools its sheet shows today. Funnel states that the tools only read data and definitions, and that they do not create or change data sources, fields, dashboards or other configuration. That describes the observed floor: an administrator could open more than a public sheet lists, but nothing documented here writes. You can also set each tool to needs approval, always allow or deny in Claude's connector settings.
03Does Claude ask before it queries Funnel?
By default, Claude asks for confirmation before each action it takes on an account for you. Funnel adds a finer control: in the connector's tool permissions in Claude, you set each tool to needs approval, always allow or deny, one by one or all together. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners also decide whether members may let some actions through without being asked again, and they can restrict the connector for everyone.
04Which Claude plans is the Funnel connector available on?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. The general rule is that remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner or Primary Owner enabling them first on Team and Enterprise. Funnel's own note covers its subscriptions, not Claude's. Only the connector's sheet in the directory shows its current state for your account.
05Does Claude see every workspace in our Funnel account?
Claude sees what your own Funnel login can reach and nothing more. The list_workspaces tool returns only the workspaces you have access to, grouped by subscription, and every later query happens inside one workspace you loaded. If a colleague's client workspace is not shared with you in Funnel, Claude cannot open it either. In organisations, an administrator may also need to approve the sign-in client before anyone connects at all.
06Why does Claude only show part of my Funnel results?
Most likely because of the row cap. Funnel's query tool returns up to 500 rows by default and keeps the full result on its servers. Funnel's advice is to have the result re-sliced rather than to raise the row limit, since the full table is still held on Funnel's side. Missing values can also come from custom metrics that only some platforms report, or from a data source flagged as delayed or invalid when the workspace loads.
07Should I use Claude or an automation tool with Funnel?
They do different jobs, so it depends on the need. Claude with this connector suits questions you ask when they come up: comparing channels, checking pacing, digging into one odd week. It only works while answering you, and nothing starts when new data arrives. If a report must go out every Monday or an alert must fire when spend crosses a line, without anyone asking, that is the work of an automation platform rather than a conversation.
