Claude Jotform Sign connectorWhat Claude can do in your Jotform Sign account.
The Claude Jotform Sign connector lists 11 tools on its directory sheet. 4 read your documents and signers, 4 write, including one that emails real signing invitations, and 3 have no official description. Below: what each does, what Claude should check first, and what stays out of reach.

What changes when Claude handles your signature paperwork
An employment contract, an NDA or a consent form usually starts from a blank template, then someone places fields, assigns signers and chases replies. With Jotform Sign plugged in, you describe the document to Claude, it drafts it with signature fields and signer roles, fills in who signs and in what order, and can tell you later who has viewed, signed or declined.
Go from a description to a draft. create_sign_document builds a signable document from what you write, or from a PDF, DOCX or supported image you supply, with fillable fields and signer roles already in place. edit_sign_document then reworks the text, title, layout, fields and who fills them, as long as the document is still a draft.
Put the right people in the right order. get_signers shows the roles and who holds them, update_signer puts a person behind a role and can set their place in the signing order, and send_for_signature emails the invitations, optionally one after the other and with reminders.
Know where things stand. get_signing_status reports, recipient by recipient, whether each one is pending, has viewed, signed or declined, and list_submissions pulls completed responses.
What it doesn't do: three names on the sheet have no description, so this page makes no claim about them. Editing stops once a document leaves the draft stage. And nothing runs on its own: Claude acts in a conversation, when you ask. Filing every signed contract in a drive automatically is automation work, a different job, and the Integrations hub covers that side.
The vocabulary in one minute
Five words to know before plugging Jotform Sign into Claude.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already own, so it can work there while it answers you.
- Tool
- A named action a connector lets Claude perform. Claude chooses the ones it needs during the answer; the directory lists them by name.
- Authorization
- The sign-in screen of the service itself, where you give Claude the access it will use. Given once per person, and revocable later.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before finishing an action that changes your account, displayed in the conversation at that point.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude communicate with an outside service.
Plug Jotform Sign into Claude in three steps
- 01
Find Jotform Sign in the list
In Claude's settings, open Customize, then Connectors, and pick Jotform Sign, a separate entry from the Jotform forms connector. On Team or Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner switches it on before members can sign in.
- 02
Start the connection
Click Connect on its row, then log in to Jotform in the window Jotform opens itself. If the link breaks at some point, choose Disconnect and connect again from the same row.
- 03
Review the authorization screen
Read the screen before accepting. It is Jotform's, not Claude's, and it decides the scope of the access. You can also pull that access back later from your Jotform account directly.
The 11 tools, sorted by what they do
Jotform Sign gives Claude 11 tools: 4 that read your account, 4 that change something in it, and 3 no official source describes.
Three groups: what Claude reads, what it changes or sends, and what no official source describes. Names stay as Claude displays them.

Tools index
What Claude reads (4)
4 toolsFour tools that look up documents, signers and responses without altering anything.
get_signers
Shows the signer roles attached to a document: which recipient holds each one, the signing order, and where every person currently stands in the process.
get_signing_status
Follows signing progress across the copies of a document: the overall picture, then each recipient's activity, from pending to viewed, signed or declined.
list_submissions
Pulls signing submissions and completed response data for one or more documents. If you don't name a document, it looks across up to 10 sign forms that already have copies out.
search
Finds sign documents by words in the title, by date or by library state, favorites, archived items and trash included, and returns their links, statuses and signer counts.
What Claude changes or sends (4)
4 toolsFour tools that draft, edit, assign or send. One of them emails real people. No source describes a Claude confirmation specific to these tools: the general rule below applies.
create_sign_document
Approval: see the ruleDrafts a signable document from your description or from an uploaded PDF, DOCX or supported image file, with fillable fields and signer roles built in from the start.
edit_sign_document
Approval: see the ruleReworks a draft from written instructions: its text, its title, its layout, the fillable fields and the people assigned to each of them.
update_signer
Approval: see the ruleSets or replaces the person behind an existing signer role, and can also place that person at a given position in the signing order.
send_for_signature
Approval: see the ruleEmails a signing invitation to everyone configured in the document's signer roles, with an optional signing order so people receive it one after another, and optional reminders.
Not documented (3)
3 toolsThe directory publishes these three names and nothing else. No official text says what they do, and a name alone proves nothing.
display_sign_document
The directory lists this name and stops there. Jotform's developer page has no entry for it, and no Claude page mentions it either, so this page adds nothing about its behavior.
update_sign_document_content
A tool name with no public description anywhere: neither the directory nor Jotform explains it. Guessing from the name would be a mistake, so the note ends here.
mcp_app_request
Only the name is public. The directory publishes it without a word of explanation, and Jotform's catalogue for this connector does not cover it, so there is nothing reliable to report.
What Claude asks before acting
By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before each action it takes on an account for you. The request appears in the conversation when it matters.
On Team and Enterprise, workspace owners decide whether members can let some actions pass without being asked again. They can also cap what a connector does for the whole organization, for instance keeping lookups open and closing drafting and sending; nobody gets around that from their own account. Claude works with the rights of the person connected and nothing more. Jotform adds its own instructions to two tools, which the cards below spell out.
Which plans include it
Of the 819 sheets in the official directory, not one shows plan availability. Connector by connector, that answer isn't published anywhere: a real hole in the catalogue, not a gap in our research.
The general rule is public: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner first turns the connector on for the organization. For the current state on your account, check the Jotform Sign sheet in the official directory.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you; nothing fires when a document is signed or declined.
The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise: an administrator can open actions that appear on no public sheet. The directory badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it doesn't choose the tools a publisher exposes or guarantee they behave as announced. Connect only what comes from a publisher you trust. This connector is documented by Jotform alone, on its developer page, with no Claude help article.
