Overview

What the Quartr connector changes for company research

Quartr gathers first-party investor relations material from more than 14,500 public companies across 65 markets: earnings calls, transcripts, slide decks, filings and reports. With this connector, you ask Claude a question about a company and Claude finds the event, reads the transcript or the deck, checks the reported figures and answers with the source at hand.

Go from a company to what it said. list_events finds a company's events, get_event_summary gives Quartr's summary, and search_documents pulls the exact passages across transcripts and slides.

Check the numbers, not the narrative. When the question is about revenue or EPS, get_financials returns standardised statement values from the company's filing, newest period first, with a link to the report.

Keep your coverage tidy. Claude can build a watchlist with create_watchlist and add_to_watchlist, then set a keyword alert with create_keyword.

What it will not do: nothing runs on its own when a company reports; Claude only acts while it answers you, and Quartr reserves this server for individual research, not for building products on its data. We have no n8n, Make or Zapier page for Quartr; our Integrations hub lists the platforms we cover, and the Claude connectors page gathers the others.

Vocabulary

Five words before you connect

The Claude vocabulary used on this page, in one minute.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already own, so Claude can work on it while it answers you.
Tool
One named thing a connector lets Claude do on that account. Claude picks the tools it needs, and the directory sheet lists them by name.
Authorization
Quartr's own sign-in screen, where you hand Claude the access it will use afterwards. Granted once per person, withdrawn the same way.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before it goes ahead with something that changes the account, shown in the chat when it matters.
MCP
The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as Quartr.
Connect

Connect the Claude Quartr connector in three steps

  1. 01

    Find Quartr in Connectors

Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and search for Quartr. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it for the organization before members can sign in individually.

  2. 02

Connect and sign in to Quartr

Click Connect on the Quartr row and log in with your Quartr account in the window Quartr opens. If the link breaks later, Disconnect and connect again, or withdraw the access from your Quartr account.

  3. 03

    Approve Quartr's screen

Read Quartr's authorization screen before you accept it: Quartr, not Claude, decides what the access covers. From then on, Claude reaches your watchlists, alerts, saved items and workspaces with your rights and nothing beyond them.

Tools

The 38 tools of the Quartr connector

Quartr gives Claude 38 tools: 20 that read your account, 17 that change something in it, and 1 no official source describes.

Twenty tools read company data and your lists, seventeen change your watchlists, alerts, folders, workspaces or filters, and one has no description. Names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude reads (20)

20 tools

Companies, events, documents, summaries, financials, plus the lists and filters already in your account.

search_companies

Finds companies by name, ticker symbol, CIQ ID, FIGI or ISIN. Results come in pages, five per page by default, which Claude can page through. Quartr allows 100 requests a minute for this tool.

When it helps
Claude needs the Quartr entry of a company before any other question about it.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_company

Retrieves a company's full profile from Quartr once its ID is known; Quartr's documentation describes it in those terms and no more. The tool allows 60 requests a minute.

When it helps
you want a company's profile before reading its events or documents.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_companies

Lists the companies Quartr covers, with optional filters, twenty per page by default; Claude pages through when the list is longer. Quartr allows 60 requests a minute for it.

When it helps
you want a list of companies to start from rather than one name.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_events

Lists the events of a company or of a watchlist; at least one of the two is required, and when both are given the results are filtered by both. Quartr allows 60 requests a minute.

When it helps
you want the events of one company, or of every company in a watchlist.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_event

Opens one event in detail from its ID, the step that comes after finding it in a list of events. Quartr's documentation adds nothing more about it, and the tool allows 60 requests a minute.

When it helps
Claude has an event ID and needs that event's details.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_event_types

Returns every event type Quartr uses, as one complete list rather than a filtered one; Quartr documents it in those words and allows 100 requests a minute for it.

When it helps
Claude needs to know which event types exist before narrowing a question.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_documents

Lists the documents Quartr holds for one company, as a step before reading or searching them. Quartr documents nothing more about it, and the tool allows 60 requests a minute.

When it helps
you want to see which documents exist for a company.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

read_document

Reads a slide deck or a report page by page, each page with its text and a link to it on Quartr. Long documents arrive in chunks that Claude continues through. Transcripts are read with a different tool.

When it helps
you want a passage of a deck or a report quoted exactly rather than paraphrased.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

search_documents

Runs a full-text search across transcripts, slides and reports at once, so Claude finds where a subject comes up instead of reading every document. Quartr allows 30 requests a minute for it.

When it helps
you want to know where a topic is mentioned in a company's material.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_financials

Returns a company's reported figures, such as revenue, margins, EPS, net income and cash flow, as standardised statement values sourced from its filing, newest period first, each linked to its report.

When it helps
any numeric question; Quartr tells Claude to prefer this over transcripts for figures.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_document_summary

Fetches Quartr's summary of a single transcript, report or slide deck; when no summary exists for that document, the answer is empty. Quartr allows 20 requests a minute.

When it helps
you want the gist of a long document before deciding whether to read it in full.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_event_summary

Brings back Quartr's summary of a whole event, covering all the documents attached to it; when Quartr has none, the answer is empty. The tool allows 20 requests a minute.

When it helps
you want one summary of an event rather than a summary per document.

Sourcemcp.quartr.com · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_watchlists

When it helps
Claude needs to know which watchlists exist before working with one.

Undocumented (1)

1 tool

The directory lists this name, but no official text describes it, and we will not guess from the name.

read_live_transcript

The directory lists this name, but Quartr's documentation does not include it: it documents a different transcript tool that is absent from the sheet. No official page explains this one, so this page makes no claim about it.

Watch out
the general approval rule below applies to it like any other tool.
Approvals

What Claude asks before it acts

By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it carries out on an account for someone. Quartr labels each tool as read-only, write or destructive, but no source says whether Claude shows a specific prompt for the write or destructive ones, so the default rule is what applies.

On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked again. They can also restrict what a connector may do for the whole organization, for instance keep reading and block writing, and no member overrides that from their own account. Claude works with the rights of the person who connected it and nothing more: your lists, alerts and saved items, the same company data your Quartr account shows.

Plans

Which Claude plans include it

Anthropic's general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, while desktop extensions install in Claude Desktop.

On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables a connector for the organization before members can sign in. For Quartr's current status on the Claude side, check its sheet in the official directory, linked from the button at the top of this page. No official source publishes Claude plan availability connector by connector; that sheet is the place to confirm it.

Limits

What the Quartr connector does not do

Only Quartr documents this connector, on its own documentation site: neither the Claude help center nor Anthropic's developer docs have a page about it.

A connector is not an automation: Claude calls its tools during a reply, and nothing fires when a company publishes results. The directory's verification badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it does not control the tools a publisher exposes. The sheet and Quartr's documentation also differ slightly: one transcript tool on the sheet is missing from the docs, which describe another one instead.

FAQ

Questions about the Claude Quartr connector

01What can Claude do with the Quartr connector?
Claude can search listed companies, open their profiles and peers, list their events and documents, read slide decks and reports page by page, search transcripts, slides and reports in full text, and pull standardised reported financials. It can also fetch Quartr's summaries of documents and events. On the organising side, it manages your watchlists, keyword alerts, saved-item folders, workspaces and saved search filters, all from the conversation while you research.
02Can Claude write, send or delete anything through it?
Yes, seventeen tools change your Quartr account. They create, rename or delete watchlists, add or remove companies from them, create, update or delete keyword alerts, manage saved-item folders and workspaces, tag or untag companies, and save or delete search filters. Quartr labels the removals destructive. None of these tools touches the companies' own published data; they only change your organisation of it. One listed tool, read_live_transcript, has no description in any source, so this page makes no claim about it.
03Does Claude ask before changing my watchlists or alerts?
By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it carries out on an account for someone. Quartr labels its tools read-only, write or destructive, but no source describes a specific Claude prompt for any of them, so that general rule is what applies. On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let some actions through without a fresh prompt, and they can restrict the connector to reading for everyone.
04Which Claude plans is it available on?
No official source publishes, plan by plan, which connectors Claude includes. Anthropic's general rule is that remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, and that on Team and Enterprise an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector before members sign in. The connector's sheet in the official directory is the only place that shows its current status, so check it from your own account.
05Does Claude see my whole Quartr account?
Claude works with the rights of the person who connected it and nothing more. Through the tools it can see your watchlists, keyword alerts, saved-item folders, workspaces and saved search filters, and the company data Quartr makes available to your account. On Team and Enterprise workspaces an owner can narrow what the connector may do for everyone, for example by keeping it to reading only. Nothing outside your own Quartr access is in reach.
06Why does Quartr return an error after many questions?
Quartr limits requests per user at two levels. Each tool allows between 20 and 100 requests a minute, and all tools combined allow 100 a minute, 2,250 an hour and 8,500 a day. If you exceed a combined limit, Quartr answers with a 429 error. The per-tool ceilings differ: the summary, financials and document-reading tools sit at 20 a minute, full-text search at 30, and the list tools for your own items at 100.
07Claude or an automation tool for Quartr?
They do different jobs. This connector serves a conversation: you ask about a company's call or its figures, and Claude reads Quartr's material and answers while you work. An automation tool runs a fixed scenario by itself when an event occurs. Nothing in this connector fires on its own when a company reports, and Quartr points builders of products or integrations to its Public API rather than to this server.
