Claude SlidesGPT connectorWhat Claude can build with SlidesGPT, no account needed.
The Claude SlidesGPT connector exposes 2 tools, and both write. 0 only read, 0 are undocumented. One builds or edits slides, the other restyles a whole deck. Below: what you get back, where the deck lives, and what stays out of reach.

What changes when Claude can call SlidesGPT
You name a topic, paste an outline or attach a memo, and Claude hands the material to SlidesGPT, which lays out the slides and sends back a carousel right in the chat. There is no SlidesGPT account to create: the publisher runs the connector without sign-in, and each deck gets its own link on slidesgpt.com.
A first draft of a deck in one request. With create_slides, a topic or an outline becomes one slide or a full deck, returned as a carousel in the chat with a PowerPoint download button.
A memo turned into slides. SlidesGPT explains that Claude reads a PDF or brief you attach to the conversation and passes its highlights to create_slides, so the deck starts from your own document.
A new look without touching the content. apply_theme re-renders every slide of an existing deck under one of 18 themes; text stays put, only fonts, colors and background change.
What it will not do: no listed tool opens a presentation you already keep elsewhere, and none deletes a deck. Both tools only work on the presentation built during the chat. Nothing runs by itself either: no deck appears unless you ask in a conversation. For flows that fire on their own, browse the Integrations hub, which covers automation tools, a different job from this one. Other connectors are listed on the Claude connectors page.
Five words before you connect
The vocabulary around this connector, in one minute.
- Connector
- A link you set up once between Claude and an outside service, so Claude can use that service while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named action a connector gives Claude. Claude picks the ones it needs as it answers, and the directory sheet lists them by name.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before it goes ahead with a change, shown in the conversation at the moment it matters.
- Directory
- The official catalog where every connector has its own sheet, with its publisher, its purpose and the list of tools it exposes.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as SlidesGPT.
Connect the Claude SlidesGPT connector in three steps
- 01
Open the connector list
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and look SlidesGPT up in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable the connector for the organization first.
- 02
Find SlidesGPT and connect
Click Connect on its row. If the service opens a window of its own, it belongs to SlidesGPT, not to Claude; the publisher says no SlidesGPT account or key is needed. A link that breaks is fixed with Disconnect, then connecting again.
- 03
Start a new conversation
If an authorization screen appears, read it before accepting: the service decides there what the access covers. The publisher adds that the two tools, shown as Create Slides and Apply Theme, are available once you return to a new chat.
The 2 tools, both on the writing side
SlidesGPT gives Claude 2 tools: 0 that read your account, 2 that change something in it.
SlidesGPT publishes both tools on its own server as tools that change something. Tool names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude creates or changes (2)
2 toolsBoth tools produce or alter a presentation on slidesgpt.com. No source spells out a confirmation for either one, so the general rule below applies.
create_slides
Approval: see the ruleBuilds one slide or a whole deck from a topic, an outline or the highlights of a file, then returns a carousel with a PowerPoint download. It can also extend an earlier deck or overwrite one slide.
apply_theme
Approval: see the ruleRe-renders every slide of an existing presentation under another visual theme, picked among the 18 themes the server lists. Wording and structure stay as they were.
What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it takes for someone in an outside service. The prompt appears in the chat when it matters.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without a prompt each time. They can also limit what a connector may do for the whole organization, and that setting binds everyone. Here there is no SlidesGPT account to inherit rights from: the tools only act on the presentation built in your chat. SlidesGPT's server flags both tools as ones that change something, yet describes no confirmation step of its own.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability, so the answer for this connector is published nowhere.
The published rule is general: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner opens a connector for the organization before members can use it. For the live state of this one, check its sheet in the official directory.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you, so no deck is built on a schedule or when a file lands somewhere.
Everything here comes from the publisher: no Claude help article covers SlidesGPT. The verified badge in the directory is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it neither picks the tools a publisher exposes nor guarantees how they behave. Connect a connector only when you know who publishes it; here that is Lightstone GmbH, the company behind SlidesGPT. Its documentation is the single source for every limit listed below.
