Claude Wyndham Hotels and Resorts connectorWhat Claude can look up across Wyndham hotels.
The Claude Wyndham Hotels and Resorts connector exposes 2 tools: 2 read tools, 0 write tools. One searches hotels by city and travel dates, the other pulls a property's full record. Below: what it finds, what it won't do, and who can switch it off.

What changes when you plan a trip with it
Skip the filter panels on the hotel site. You tell Claude the city, the dates and what matters to you (a pool, pets allowed, a minimum rating), and it queries the Wyndham catalog, hands back a shortlist, then fetches the full record of any hotel you point at.
A shortlist from one sentence. search-wyndham-hotels starts from a specific city and your dates, folds your preferences into the query, and returns a summary per hotel: name, location, brand, rating, price and a lead photo.
Everything the summary leaves out. get-wyndham-hotel-details opens amenities, room types, photo galleries, house policies and contact details. Ask explicitly for current rates and it adds the best available prices, in cash or in Wyndham Rewards points, with their booking links.
Two hotels, side by side. Wyndham highlights comparison: name the properties you are torn between and Claude weighs them against your criteria before you book.
Now the part the directory sheet skips. According to Wyndham's own tool description, the connector cannot create a booking and does not handle personal information. Booking ends on Wyndham's side, through the link it returns. Nothing runs in the background either: no tool alerts you when a rate drops. That kind of watching is a job for an automation tool, a different trade; the Integrations hub covers that side, and the Claude connectors hub lists the others.
The vocabulary in one minute
Five words you will meet while adding Wyndham to Claude.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an outside service, so Claude can use it while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named thing a connector lets Claude do. Claude picks the ones it needs by itself; the directory sheet lists them by name.
- Directory
- The official catalog where every connector has its own sheet: publisher, purpose and the list of tools it exposes.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before it goes ahead with something that changes an account, shown in the chat when it matters.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant talk to an outside service. You will see the acronym elsewhere.
Add Wyndham to Claude in three steps
- 01
Open the connector list
In Claude, open Customize and go to the Connectors section. Every connector of the official directory can be found from there, and Wyndham's appears as "Wyndham Hotels & Resorts".
- 02
Add Wyndham Hotels and Resorts
Find "Wyndham Hotels & Resorts" in that list and start the link from its row with Connect. Wyndham's own Claude page describes the same move: pick it from the available connectors and add it.
- 03
Ask a first question
Ask Claude for a Wyndham hotel in a named city, with your dates. If the link ever misbehaves, remove it with Disconnect in the same list, then add it again from scratch.
The 2 tools and what each one returns
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts gives Claude 2 tools: 2 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.
Two tools, both flagged as read-only by Wyndham's own server. Their names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude looks up (2)
2 toolsTwo tools that query the Wyndham hotel catalog and change nothing in it.
search-wyndham-hotels
The entry point. Give it a city and dates and it returns hotels from the network, each reduced to name, location, brand, rating, price and one hero image. Your wishes (pool, pet-friendly, rating floor) go in as free text.
get-wyndham-hotel-details
Takes over once a hotel is picked. It needs the property IDs that the search returned, then delivers the full record: amenities, room types, galleries, policies and contact info. Live rates come only when you ask for them.
What Claude asks before it acts
By default, Claude stops and asks before every action it takes on an account on your behalf. Both Wyndham tools only look things up: the rule still stands, but no source describes a confirmation specific to them.
On Team and Enterprise, workspace owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked each time. They can also cap what a connector may do for the whole organization, and that setting binds everyone. The help center's examples of such a cap: reading files without being able to create or edit them, or browsing tickets without opening new ones. The official read versus write label for each tool only shows up in the settings of a connected account; no public page carries it.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. Connector by connector, that information is not published anywhere.
The general rule is published: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables them for the organization first. For Wyndham's current status, check its sheet in the official directory, the only place that displays it for your account.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you; nothing fires on its own when a room frees up.
Only the publisher documents this connector: Anthropic has no page about it. Its tool list is an observed floor, not a guarantee, and the directory badge is not a security audit. Anthropic says so on every sheet: it does not control which tools a publisher exposes and cannot promise they behave as described. Only connect what comes from a publisher you know, which here is the hotel group itself, under its own name.
