What can the DALIM Make integration do for you?

The DALIM Make integration links your DALIM account to Make so that customers, projects and assets get created, edited or deleted without anyone retyping them. You build a scenario (the automation itself, a chain of bricks called modules), and each module does one job in DALIM.

A project folder that opens itself. When a deal closes in your CRM or a form comes in, Create a Customer records the client and Create a Project opens the job right after, with the name mapped from the first app.

Records that stay current. A contact changes address or a brief gets renamed somewhere else: Edit a Customer or Edit a Project carries the change into DALIM, so nobody has to chase the difference by hand.

Cleanup you can trust. Delete an Asset, Delete a Project and Delete a Customer remove what is finished. For anything the ready-made modules do not cover, Execute a GraphQL Query lets you send your own query to DALIM.

What Make does not give you here: DALIM has no trigger module, so Make cannot notice a change inside DALIM by itself, and Make's own documentation states it is limited for this app. If a scenario misbehaves, Make troubleshooting walks through the usual fixes, and Make training covers scenario design from the ground up. How do you connect DALIM to Make?

    Add a DALIM module

    In your scenario, click the +, search for DALIM and pick any of its modules. In the module panel, click Create a connection. A connection is your DALIM account linked to Make once, then reused by every DALIM module.

    Give the connection a name

    This part is optional, but a clear name helps when you have a test account and a live one. Something like "DALIM production" tells you at a glance which account a module writes to.

    Authorize Make, then save

    Depending on what the window shows, approve Make on DALIM's own page or paste the key DALIM gives you. Click Save. From then on, Make can list what it is allowed to read in your account.

First scenario

Your first scenario with DALIM

GoalWhen a new client shows up in another app, Make creates the customer in DALIM and opens a project for them.

    Create the scenario

    On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. DALIM has no trigger, so the first module comes from the app where new clients appear, such as a form or a CRM.

    Add Create a Customer

    Click the + on the right of that first module, search for DALIM and choose Create a Customer. Pick your connection, then map the client details coming from the first app.

    Chain Create a Project

    Add one more DALIM module, Create a Project. If the module asks which customer the project belongs to, map the one created just before rather than typing it. Each item passing between modules is called a bundle.

    Test with Run once

    Click Run once. Make runs the scenario a single time and shows the bundles each module received. Open DALIM and check that the customer and the project are both there.

    Schedule it and switch it on

    Set the schedule on the first module (a new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default), then switch the scenario on. Every module run counts as an operation on your Make plan.

Create a Customer

01Is the DALIM Make integration free?
Yes, DALIM is a standard app in Make, so its 10 modules work on the Free plan. That plan has real limits: 2 active scenarios, at least 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute, remove the cap on active scenarios and count usage in credits, meaning operations, each month. The price of DALIM itself is a separate matter between you and DALIM.
02What do you need to connect DALIM to Make?
A DALIM account and a Make account. Make's documentation lists no specific prerequisite for DALIM. You add any DALIM module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, then either approve Make on DALIM's page or paste the key DALIM provides, and click Save. The connection is then shared by every DALIM module in your scenarios. Since Make says its documentation of DALIM is limited, keep the person who administers your DALIM account close by when you set it up.
03Does the DALIM Make integration react in real time?
No, because DALIM has no trigger module in Make, neither scheduled nor instant. A scenario that uses DALIM starts elsewhere. You can open it with a trigger from another app, such as a form or a CRM, and let its own timing apply. You can also start it on Make's scheduling, the clock on the first module, which runs every 15 minutes by default on a new scenario and can go down to 1 minute on a paid plan. Either way, DALIM only receives what the scenario sends.
04What if the DALIM module you need is missing in Make?
Look at Execute a GraphQL Query first. It lets you send your own query to DALIM, which covers actions the nine other modules do not offer, provided someone can write it. DALIM has no generic Make an API Call module. Make also states that its documentation for this app is limited, so some details will come from DALIM's side.
