What can the Deep Infra Make integration do for you?

The Deep Infra Make integration links your Deep Infra account to Make, a visual tool where you chain apps into a scenario, meaning the automation you build. Deep Infra brings three modules, the bricks of that chain: one creates a voice, one turns text into speech, and one calls any other part of the Deep Infra API.

Give every written update a voice. Put a module from another app first, for example a new row in a spreadsheet or a form answer, then add Synthesize a Speech and hand it the text. Each new item comes out as speech, with no copy and paste.

Prepare a voice before you produce anything. Create a Voice adds a new voice to your Deep Infra account from inside a scenario, so setting one up follows the same flow as the rest of your work instead of a separate manual task.

Reach what the menu does not show. Make an API Call reuses the same connection to call any endpoint of the Deep Infra API, which is handy when the two other modules stop short of your need.

Know one limit before you start: Make itself says its documentation for Deep Infra is limited, because little public information exists about the app. Test each module with Run once and read what comes back before you trust it. How do you connect Deep Infra to Make?

Add a Deep Infra module
In your scenario, click the + and search for Deep Infra. Pick any of its modules, then click Create a connection. A connection is your Deep Infra account linked to Make once, and every Deep Infra module reuses it.

Name it and authorize Make
Give the connection a name you will recognize later, which is optional. Then follow what the window asks: either authorize Make on the Deep Infra page, or paste the key that Deep Infra gives you.

Save and check the module
Click Save. The connection now appears in the module, and Make can fill in the options it is able to read from your account. You will not need to repeat this step for the other two modules.

Create the scenario
Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + in the middle of the editor. That first spot will hold the module that feeds your text.

Pick the source of your text
Choose a module from the app where the text lives, such as a new row or a new form entry. Each item it finds becomes a bundle, one piece of data passed along the chain.

Add Synthesize a Speech
Click the + on the right of the first module, search for Deep Infra and choose Synthesize a Speech. Select your connection, then map the text from the previous module into it.

Test with Run once
Click Run once. Make runs the scenario a single time, and you can open each module to read the bundles it received and what Deep Infra sent back.

Schedule and switch it on
Set the schedule on the first module, every 15 minutes by default, then switch the scenario on. Each module run counts as one operation, the unit Make tracks on your plan.

Make documents this module very little, so check with Run once what it returns before chaining other steps.

This module opens the rest of the Deep Infra API to your scenario, using the connection you already made. Whatever the two other modules do not cover can be requested here, endpoint by endpoint.

When to use it

when you need a Deep Infra feature that has no dedicated module in Make, and you know which endpoint serves it.

Watch out

you write the request yourself, so read the Deep Infra API docs before you start, then test the call with Run once.

Action

In Make“Synthesizes a speech by text.”

Hand this module a piece of text and Deep Infra gives you the spoken version back, ready to pass to the next module of the scenario. It is the only module here that actually produces speech.

When to use it

when written content arriving from another app, a message or a new row, should also exist as speech without anyone recording it.

Watch out

each item of text is one run of the module, so a batch of rows costs one operation per row on your plan.

01Is the Deep Infra Make integration free?

Yes, on the Make side. Deep Infra is a standard app, so its modules are available from the Free plan. That plan keeps 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes per execution, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans lower the interval to 1 minute, remove the cap on active scenarios and allow 40 minutes per run. Your Deep Infra account is a separate matter handled by Deep Infra itself.

02What does the Deep Infra Make integration need to connect?

A Deep Infra account and a few clicks in Make. Add any Deep Infra module, click Create a connection, give it a name if you like, then either authorize Make on the Deep Infra page or paste the key Deep Infra gives you, and click Save. Make's documentation lists no special prerequisite for this app. The same connection then serves the three modules, so you only set it up once per account.

03Can a Deep Infra scenario start in real time?

Not by itself, because Deep Infra has no trigger in Make: all three of its modules are actions. The scenario starts from something else. You can open it with a module from another app, and if that app offers an instant trigger, the scenario reacts as soon as it is called through a webhook.
