What can the Deftform Make integration do for you?
The Deftform Make integration links your Deftform account to Make, a no-code automation tool. In Make you build a scenario (the automation itself, a chain of modules), and each module is one brick: a trigger that starts things, a search that fetches data, or an action. With Deftform, the scenario starts from form responses.
New responses reach the right people. Watch responses picks up what people submit, and the next module in the scenario, from another app, sends each response where your team works. A sales rep gets the lead, a support agent gets the request.
A full pull of responses when you need it. List responses returns several items at once, one bundle per response (a bundle is one item passed from module to module). Useful when another tool asks for everything collected so far.

How do you connect Deftform to Make?

Copy your API key in Deftform
Open your Deftform workspace settings, go to the API section and copy the key shown on screen. Make needs this key, so you need an active Deftform account with a valid access token first.

Add a Deftform module in Make
Log in to Make, open your scenario, add any Deftform module and click Create a connection. A connection is your Deftform account linked to Make once, then reused by every Deftform module.

Paste the key and save
Give the connection a name in Connection name if you like (it is optional), paste the API key you copied, then follow the prompts on screen. The fields of the module open once the connection works.
Build your first scenario with Deftform

Create the scenario
On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + to add the first module. Then pick the app whose event should start the flow: your CRM, say, or the spreadsheet your team already fills in.

Add List responses
Click the + on the right of that first module, search for Deftform and choose List responses. Select the connection you created, or click Create a connection if this is your first Deftform module.

Fill in the fields
Complete the fields of the module. Once the connection exists, Make lists what it can read in your Deftform account, so you pick from a menu instead of typing IDs by hand.

Test with Run once
Click Run once. Make runs the scenario a single time and shows the bundles each module received. Check that every response you expect is there before going further.

Schedule and switch it on
Set the schedule on the first module (every 15 minutes by default for a new scenario) and turn the scenario on. From then on, each run uses operations, the unit Make counts on your plan.
