What can the Doubao AI Make integration do for you?

With the Doubao AI Make integration, a Make scenario (the automation you build, a chain of modules) sends work to Doubao AI and passes the answer on to your other apps. Each module is one brick of that chain. All 11 Doubao AI modules are actions: they do something when the scenario reaches them, they never start it.

Translated content without copy and paste. A form, a shared sheet or a support tool hands text to Translate a Text, and the next module files the translation where your team reads it. Nobody opens a translator by hand.

Visuals produced from a brief. A product description or a campaign idea goes to Generate an Image (Doubao-Seedream-4.5). For motion, Generate a Video Doubao-Seedance-1.0-pro starts a video job, and Get a Video/3D Generation Task Status lets a later step check where that job stands before you pick up the result.

A consistent assistant voice. Play a Role Doubao-1.5-pro-32k fits cases where every answer should come from the same persona, for example a draft reply written in your brand tone.

What the integration does not do: it has no trigger, so Doubao AI never wakes Make up by itself. Your scenario starts from another app or from a schedule. The doc itself warns that it was written with AI help and may contain mistakes, so test each module with your own account.

How do you connect Doubao AI to Make?

    Gather your keys first

    The Make doc asks for a Baidu Cloud account with enterprise real name authentication, plus an API Key and a Secret Key. In your Doubao AI dashboard, open your profile, find the API Key section and copy the key shown there.

    Add a Doubao AI module

    In your Make scenario, add any Doubao AI module and click Create a connection. A connection is your Doubao AI account linked to Make once, then reused by every Doubao AI module you add later.

    Paste the credentials and save

    Give it a clear name in the Connection name field (optional, but handy with several accounts). Paste the credentials you copied, or follow the instructions on screen, then save. Make now reads your account.

Your first scenario with Doubao AI

    Create the scenario

    Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the big + to add the first module. Since Doubao AI has no trigger, this first module comes from the app that holds your text, a form tool for instance.

    Pick the starting app

    Search that app by name, choose its trigger and create its connection. Each item it sends onward is a bundle: one bundle is one entry, carried from one module to the next.

    Add Translate a Text

    Click the + on the right of the first module, search Doubao AI and pick Translate a Text. Choose your connection, then map the text field of the previous module into it.

    Test with Run once

    Click Run once to run the scenario one time. Open the bubble above each module to read the bundles it received and check the translation that Doubao AI returned.

    Schedule and switch on

    Set the schedule on the first module (a new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default), then switch the scenario on. Each module run on one bundle counts as one operation on your plan.

01Is the Doubao AI Make integration free?
Yes on the Make side: Doubao AI is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans lower the interval to 1 minute and count usage in credits (operations) per month. Your Doubao AI subscription is separate; the Make doc sends you to the Doubao AI pricing page for it.
02What do you need to connect Doubao AI to Make?
According to the Make doc, a Baidu Cloud account with enterprise real name authentication, a Doubao AI account, an API Key and a Secret Key. The doc also points to your super membership order number, shown in the order center of your account. With those at hand, add any Doubao AI module, click Create a connection, paste the credentials and save. The connection is then reused by every Doubao AI module in your scenarios.
03Can Doubao AI start a Make scenario by itself?
No. Doubao AI has no trigger module in Make, scheduled or instant, so it cannot start a scenario. Put another app's trigger first, for example a new form entry or a new row in a sheet, and add the Doubao AI module after it. You can also start with a plain schedule on the first module: a new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default, and the Free plan cannot go below that interval.
04What if a Doubao AI module is missing in Make?
Try Create an API Call first: its name suggests a free-form request for what the ready-made modules do not cover. Check the vendor documentation for what Doubao AI expects. The Make doc warns that its pages were produced with AI help and may contain errors, so verify anything important with Doubao AI directly.
