What can the Expanzo Make integration do for you?

The Expanzo Make integration links your Expanzo account to Make so that a scenario, the automation you build in Make, can look up companies for you. Each step of a scenario is a module, and Expanzo brings 5 of them: searches that return companies or countries, and actions that fetch details about one firm.

An enriched lead list. A new contact arrives in your CRM or a form app. Search Companies looks up the employer, then Get a Company Info fetches its record so the next module can write it back next to the contact.

A clean supplier file. Your accounting sheet holds registration numbers but no names. Get a Firm Name by ID Number returns the name that goes with each number, so the file stops relying on whoever typed it.

A country picker that stays accurate. List Countries returns the countries the service knows, which helps when another module asks for one and you want to feed it a valid value.

A word of honesty: Make's own documentation for Expanzo is limited, because little public information exists about the app. The module names are clear, but the exact fields they return are something you discover with Run once. How do you connect Expanzo to Make?

Add an Expanzo module
In your scenario, click the +, type Expanzo in the search box and pick any of its modules. Then click Create a connection. A connection is your Expanzo account linked to Make once, and every Expanzo module reuses it afterwards.

Name it and authorize
Give the connection a name if you like, handy when a client and your own team each have an account. Then either approve access on the Expanzo page that opens, or paste the key Expanzo gives you, depending on what the window asks for.

Save and check the fields
Click Save. Back in the module, the fields should now be ready to fill. If Make still shows an error, the key or the authorization did not go through, so open the connection again and redo it.

Your first scenario with Expanzo

Create the scenario
Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. Expanzo has no trigger, so the first module comes from the app where company names appear, such as your CRM or a spreadsheet.

Add Search Companies
Click the + to the right of that first module, search Expanzo and choose Search Companies. Create the connection, then map the company name from the previous module into the search.

Fetch the details
Add Get a Company Info after the search. Map the company it found, so this action pulls the full record of that one firm. A bundle, one item passing from module to module, carries each company along.

Test with Run once
Click Run once. Make runs the scenario a single time and shows the bundles each module received. Read them closely: this is where you learn which fields Expanzo actually sends back.

Schedule and switch on
Open the clock on the first module. A new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default, and the Free plan allows no shorter interval. Pick your schedule, then switch the scenario on.

Questions people ask about Expanzo and Make

01Is the Expanzo Make integration free?

Yes, on the Make side. Expanzo is a standard app, so its modules are available on the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans remove the cap on active scenarios and bring the interval down to 1 minute. Usage is counted in operations, one per module per bundle. Your Expanzo account itself follows its own terms, which this page does not cover.

02What do you need to connect Expanzo to Make?

An Expanzo account and a Make account. The documentation lists no other prerequisite and gives no specific connection steps, so the generic Make process applies. Add an Expanzo module, click Create a connection, name it if you want, then either authorize Make on the Expanzo page or paste the key Expanzo provides. Click Save and the connection is ready for all 5 modules. If the fields stay empty afterwards, the authorization did not go through and is worth redoing.

03Can an Expanzo scenario start on its own?

Not from Expanzo, because the app has no trigger module. A scenario can still start in two ways. The first is a trigger from another app, for example a new row or a new contact, followed by Search Companies or Get a Firm Name by ID Number. The second is Make's own schedule on the first module, every 15 minutes by default on a new scenario, or 1 minute at the shortest on paid plans. Either way, nothing reacts to events inside Expanzo itself.

04What if an Expanzo module is missing in Make?

Use Make an API Call. It sends any request to the Expanzo API with the same connection, so you can reach an endpoint the other four modules do not cover. You write the request yourself, which means keeping the Expanzo API reference open, since Make's documentation for this app is limited and says so. When even that route fails, the usual fallback is to get the data from another app that holds it, then continue the scenario from there.

05Should you use Make or n8n with Expanzo?

It depends on the tool your team already uses. On Make, Expanzo comes with 5 ready modules, three actions and two searches, plus Make an API Call for the rest, and it runs on the Free plan. Many apps also have an n8n node, so check whether one exists for Expanzo before you choose. Base the decision on which modules you need and where your other automations already live, not on the name of the platform.
