The Luma AI Make integration lets a Make scenario, the automation you build as a chain of modules, ask Luma AI to generate an image or a video without you opening Luma AI. Each module is one brick of that chain, and here all three are actions: they do something when the scenario reaches them.

Anything the API offers. When you need an endpoint the two modules do not cover, Make an API Call reaches it with the same connection.

What Make will not do: start a scenario from inside Luma AI. The app has no trigger, so the scenario begins with another app or with its own schedule. How do you connect Luma AI to Make?

    Copy your API key

    Log in to Luma AI, open your account dashboard and go to the API section of the settings panel. Copy the API key shown there. You need an active Luma AI account first; its own pricing page covers the subscription.

    Add a Luma AI module

    In your Make scenario, add any Luma AI module, for example Create an Image, then click Create a connection. A connection is your Luma AI account linked to Make once and reused by every Luma AI module afterward.

    Paste the key and save

    If you like, type a label in the Connection name field so you recognize it later. Paste the API key you copied, or follow the instructions on screen, and confirm. The module is now ready to fill.

    Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + to add the first module. Since Luma AI has no trigger, pick the app where your requests arrive, such as a sheet or a form.

    Click the + on the right of that first module, search for Luma AI and choose Create an Image. Select the connection you made earlier, or click Create a connection if this is your first Luma AI module.

    Fill the module fields with data from the first module: click a field and pick the value that holds the description. A bundle, one item passing from module to module, carries that text across.

    Test with Run once

    Add a sample request in the first app, then click Run once. Make executes the scenario one time and shows the bundles each module received, so you can check what Luma AI sent back.

    Schedule and switch it on

    Open Scheduling on the first module. A new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default. Keep that or change it, then switch the scenario on. Each module run counts as one operation on your plan.

01Is the Luma AI Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. Luma AI is a standard app, available from the Free plan, which allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute and count usage in credits each month. Luma AI itself needs an active account with an API key, and its subscription is a separate matter described on its own pricing page.
02What do you need to connect Luma AI to Make?
You need an active Luma AI account and its API key. Log in to Luma AI, open the account dashboard, go to the API section of the settings panel and copy the key. In Make, add a Luma AI module, click Create a connection, give it a name if you want, then paste the key. That connection is saved once and every Luma AI module in your scenarios can reuse it, so you never repeat the setup for each module.
