What can the RealMail Make integration do for you?

The RealMail Make integration links your RealMail account to Make, a visual tool where you chain apps into a scenario, meaning the automation you build. RealMail brings two actions to that chain: validating an email address and calling its API directly. It has no trigger of its own, so another app or a schedule starts the run.

Clean signups at the door. A form tool hands Make a new entry, Validate an Email Address checks the address, and only then does the contact move on to your CRM or newsletter tool. You decide what happens to each result with the next modules.

Audit a list you already have. Rows from a spreadsheet can flow one by one into the same module, each row being a bundle, that is, one item passed from one module to the next. Every address checked costs an operation, the unit Make counts on your plan, so test on a few rows first.

    In your scenario, click the +, search for RealMail and pick Validate an Email Address. Then click Create a connection: a connection is your RealMail account linked to Make once, and every RealMail module reuses it.

    Name it and authorize

    Giving the connection a name is optional, but it helps when several accounts share a workspace. Then follow what RealMail asks for: either authorize Make on the RealMail page that opens, or paste the key your RealMail account provides.

    Save and check

    Click Save. The new connection now appears in the module's dropdown. Pick it, close the module, and it is ready. Any other RealMail module you add later, including Make an API Call, offers the same connection.

    Create the scenario

    Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. The first module comes from the app where addresses land, such as your form tool, since RealMail cannot start a scenario itself.

    Click the + on the right of that first module, search for RealMail and choose Validate an Email Address. Select the connection you created, or click Create a connection if you skipped that part.

    Map the email field

    In the RealMail module, fill the address with the email coming from the first module: click the field and pick the matching item from the data panel. No need to type anything by hand.

    Test with Run once

    Click Run once and submit a test entry in your source app. Open the bubble above each module to read the bundles it received. This is where you see what RealMail sends back.

01Is the RealMail Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. RealMail is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, up to 5 minutes per execution and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. Usage is counted in credits, one per operation. Whatever RealMail itself charges for its service is separate and depends on your RealMail account.
02What do you need to connect RealMail to Make?
A RealMail account and a Make account. Make's documentation lists no specific prerequisite for RealMail. You add a RealMail module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, then authorize Make on the RealMail page or paste the key your account gives you, and click Save.
