What you can automate

What can the Selly Erp Make integration do for you?

The Selly Erp Make integration lets Make write into your Selly Erp account for you. Make is a no-code tool where you build a scenario, meaning an automation made of modules (one brick each, here all actions), so data from your other apps lands in Selly Erp as customers, quotes, orders or invoices.

An invoice without retyping. When a deal closes in another tool, Recupera o Crea un Cliente makes sure the customer exists, then Crea Fattura di Vendita drafts the sales invoice. Each item moving between modules is a bundle, and every module run on one bundle counts as one operation on your plan.

Leads that never slip. A web form fills Recupera o Crea un Potenziale, and Crea Nota nella Timeline records where the lead came from, so the sales rep opens a record that already tells the story.

Quotes and orders from your shop. Pair Recupera o Crea un Articolo with Crea un Preventivo or Crea Ordine di Vendita to push catalog lines into Selly Erp as they appear elsewhere.

What the integration does not do: Selly Erp has no trigger in Make, so nothing starts from an event inside Selly Erp. Your scenario starts from another app or from a schedule. There is no Make an API Call module either, and the documentation lists no field details, so test each module with real data. Before you pick a plan, read our Make pricing page; if a run fails, the Make troubleshooting guide covers the usual errors. Weighing tools? The n8n vs Make comparison lays out the criteria.

Connect

How do you connect Selly Erp to Make?

  1. 01

Copy your API key in Selly Erp

Your connection is your Selly Erp account linked to Make once, then reused by every Selly Erp module. You need an active account and an API key: in the Selly Erp dashboard, open Settings, click API and copy the key shown on screen.

  2. 02

Add a Selly Erp module in Make

Log in to Make, open your scenario, add any Selly Erp module and click Create a connection. The Connection name field is optional; a clear label such as the company name helps when you manage several accounts.

  3. 03

    Paste the key and save

Paste the API key you copied, or follow the on-screen instructions, then confirm. Once the connection exists, Make can read your Selly Erp data and fill in the lists it offers inside each module.

First scenario

Your first scenario: invoice a customer from another app

GoalWhen a sale is recorded in another app, Make finds or adds the customer in Selly Erp and creates the sales invoice.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. Pick the app where your sales are recorded as the first module, since Selly Erp has no trigger of its own.

  2. 02

Add Recupera o Crea un Cliente

Click the + on the right, search for Selly Erp, choose Recupera o Crea un Cliente and link your connection. Map the customer details coming from the first module.

  3. 03

    Add Crea Fattura di Vendita

Add one more module, pick Crea Fattura di Vendita, and map the customer returned by the previous step plus the sale data. Make lists what it can read once the connection works.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once to execute the scenario one time. Open each module's bubble to read the bundles it received, then check in Selly Erp that the invoice looks right.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

Set the schedule on the first module (every 15 minutes by default, the minimum on the Free plan) and switch the scenario on. From then on, new sales turn into invoices without you.

Modules

What each Selly Erp module does

Selly Erp gives you 11 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Selly Erp1

Controlla Email

ActionIn the docs only

This module gives your scenario, judging by its name, an email check in Selly Erp before anything else happens. The documentation gives no description, so the exact output is something to discover with a test run.

When to use it
ahead of Recupera o Crea un Contatto, when you want to know about an address before you write it.
Watch out
run it once on a known address and read the bundle before you rely on its result.
Selly Erp2

Controlla Fattura di Vendita

ActionIn the docs only

Here you get a check on an existing sales invoice, going by the Italian name, rather than a new document. That makes it the safe step between receiving a payment signal and deciding what to do next.

When to use it
before Crea Fattura di Vendita, to avoid invoicing the same sale twice.
Watch out
no official description exists, so inspect its output with Run once first.
Selly Erp3

Crea Fattura di Vendita

ActionIn the docs only

You end up with a sales invoice in Selly Erp built from data your other apps already hold, with no manual entry. It is the module that closes the loop of the sample scenario above.

When to use it
once a sale is confirmed and the customer record is certain to exist.
Watch out
test on a dummy customer and review the result in Selly Erp before switching the scenario on.
Selly Erp4

Crea Nota nella Timeline

ActionIn the docs only

A note lands on a record's timeline, so your team sees what happened without leaving Selly Erp. Think of it as the audit trail your scenario leaves behind each time it acts.

When to use it
after creating a lead or an order, to log its origin, such as the form or shop it came from.
Watch out
each note costs one operation, so skip it on high-volume steps where nobody reads it.
Selly Erp5

Crea Opportunità

ActionIn the docs only

Sales reps get a fresh opportunity in the pipeline the moment a prospect shows real interest elsewhere. It keeps the handoff from marketing to sales inside a single scenario.

When to use it
when a demo request or a qualified call arrives from another tool.
Watch out
unlike the Recupera o Crea modules, its name promises no lookup first, so run it once on a known prospect and check for duplicates.
Selly Erp6

Crea Ordine di Vendita

ActionIn the docs only

Turn an order placed in your shop or form into a sales order in Selly Erp, ready for the rest of your process. It sits between the quote and the invoice in a typical sales flow.

When to use it
as soon as a customer confirms a purchase and you want stock or delivery teams to see it.
Watch out
map items that already exist, ideally found first with Recupera o Crea un Articolo.
Selly Erp7

Crea un Preventivo

ActionIn the docs only

A quote is drafted from the prospect's request, instead of waiting for someone to copy the details. The quote stays in Selly Erp, where your team can edit it before sending.

When to use it
when a quote request form comes in with enough detail to price.
Watch out
review the first few quotes by hand; the documentation lists no fields, so confirm prices and lines map correctly.
Selly Erp8

Recupera o Crea un Articolo

ActionIn the docs only

Your catalog stays clean: the module returns the item if it already exists and adds it if it does not. That single step spares you a separate search followed by a create.

When to use it
before any order or quote line, when products come from a shop or a spreadsheet.
Watch out
slightly different product names can still create near-duplicates, so keep the identifier consistent across apps.
Selly Erp9

Recupera o Crea un Cliente

ActionIn the docs only

With this module you always get a customer record back, whether it was already in Selly Erp or has just been added. Every document you create next can point to it safely.

When to use it
as the first Selly Erp step of any invoicing or ordering scenario.
Watch out
the matching rule is not documented; run it twice with the same data and check no second customer appears.
Selly Erp10

Recupera o Crea un Contatto

ActionIn the docs only

People at your customer companies end up in Selly Erp as contacts, without duplicates when the same person writes twice. It is the person-level twin of the customer module.

When to use it
when a support email or a signup names someone you need to reach later.
Watch out
pair it with Controlla Email if bad addresses come in often, and test the match on a known contact.
Selly Erp11

Recupera o Crea un Potenziale

ActionIn the docs only

New prospects become leads in Selly Erp, and returning ones are found instead of copied again. Your pipeline starts from one record per person, which keeps follow-up simple.

When to use it
behind a website form, a webinar signup or an ad lead source.
Watch out
a lead is not yet a customer; switch to Recupera o Crea un Cliente only once the prospect buys.

FAQ

Selly Erp and Make: frequent questions

01Is the Selly Erp Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. Selly Erp is a standard app, so it works from the Free plan, which allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes per execution and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) drop the interval to 1 minute and count usage in operations per month. You still need an active Selly Erp subscription with an API key; its price is set by Selly Erp, not by Make.
02What do you need to connect Selly Erp to Make?
Two things: an active Selly Erp account and its API key. In Selly Erp, go to Settings, then API, and copy the key displayed. In Make, add any Selly Erp module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, and paste the key. That connection is then shared by all 11 Selly Erp modules. If the key is rejected, check it again in Selly Erp and contact their support, since the Make documentation for this app may contain mistakes.
03Does Selly Erp trigger Make scenarios in real time?
No. Selly Erp has no trigger module in Make, scheduled or instant, so a change inside Selly Erp cannot start a scenario on its own. You start the scenario another way: with a trigger from a different app, such as a form or a shop, or with the schedule on the first module, which runs every 15 minutes by default. Selly Erp modules then come after that first module and write the data into your account.
04What if a needed Selly Erp module is missing in Make?
It depends on what you need. Selly Erp offers 11 action modules in Make and no Make an API Call module, so you cannot send a custom request to its API from this app. Check first whether a combination of existing modules covers the job, for example a Recupera o Crea module followed by a Crea module. If not, look for another app that handles that part of the process, or ask our team to review the case with you.
05Should you use Make or n8n for Selly Erp?
It depends on your criteria, not on a winner. In Make, Selly Erp comes as 11 ready action modules that you place in a visual scenario and connect with an API key. The same app often has an n8n node too, so check whether the actions you need exist there before choosing. Compare the modules available, how each tool counts usage on your plan, and which tool your team already knows. The comparison page linked above lists the criteria side by side.
