What you can automate

What can the skool Make integration do for you?

The skool Make integration lets a Make scenario, the automation you build in Make, add a person to your skool group for you. It offers a single module, one brick of that scenario, and that module is an action: it invites a new member. Something else has to start the flow, such as another app or the schedule you set in Make.

Paid access that opens itself. When a purchase is recorded in the tool you sell with, a scenario can hand that buyer to Invite a New Member so the course community is waiting for them, without you copying addresses between tabs.

Webinar or lead magnet follow-up. People who register through a form elsewhere can land in a free skool group, with Make passing their details from the form module to the invite.

A CRM that stays in charge. If contacts move to a stage like "client" in your CRM, the step after that can invite them to your members area. The Agile CRM Make integration page shows what such a starting app looks like.

Know the limits before you plan. Make itself says its documentation for skool is limited, because little public information exists about the app. skool has no trigger in Make, so Make cannot alert you to new posts or new members, and there is no module to remove a member. For a broader view of the platform, read the Make review, and if you are weighing tools, the n8n vs Make comparison sets the criteria side by side.

Connect

How do you connect skool to Make?

  1. 01

    Add the skool module

In a scenario, search for skool, pick Invite a New Member and click Create a connection. A connection is your skool account linked to Make once, then reused by every skool module you add later.

  2. 02

    Name it and authorize Make

Give the connection a clear name if you like, useful when you run more than one community. Then either approve Make on the skool page that opens, or paste the key skool gives you, depending on what the window asks for.

  3. 03

    Save and check

Click Save. The connection now appears in the module, and Make can list what it is able to read from your account. If nothing shows up, reopen the connection and redo the authorization.

First scenario

Build your first scenario with skool

GoalWhen someone signs up in another app, Make invites that person into your skool group.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + to add the first module. It will not be skool, since skool has no trigger.

  2. 02

    Pick the starting app

Search for the app where your sign-ups or sales arrive, choose its trigger and connect your account. Each new sign-up will reach the next step as a bundle, one item flowing between modules.

  3. 03

    Add Invite a New Member

Click the + on the right of the first module, search for skool and pick Invite a New Member. Create the connection, then map the person's details from the previous module into the fields Make displays.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once and create a test sign-up with your own address. Read the bundle each module received, then check in skool that the invite reached your group.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

Set the schedule on the first module (every 15 minutes by default) and turn the scenario on. Each module run on a bundle counts as one operation on your Make plan.

Modules

What the skool module does

skool gives you 1 module. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

skool1

Invite a New Member

Action

In MakeInvites a new member into your group.

This action sends someone an invitation to join your skool group, so the person gets into your community without you handling it in the skool admin. It is the only skool module in Make, which is why every skool scenario ends here.

When to use it
right after an event in another app, like a completed purchase or a filled registration form.
Watch out
Make's own documentation for skool is limited, so run a test with your address before going live.

FAQ

Questions about the skool Make integration

01Is the skool Make integration free?
Yes, skool is a standard app in Make, so you can use it from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, up to 5 minutes per execution, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) bring the interval down to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. Usage is counted in operations, one per module run on one bundle, so a scenario that invites one person uses one operation on the skool step. The price of your skool subscription is a separate matter this page does not cover.
02What do you need to connect skool to Make?
You need your skool account and a Make account. The Make documentation lists no specific prerequisite for skool. You add the Invite a New Member module, click Create a connection, name it if you want, then authorize Make on the skool page or paste the key skool provides, and click Save. Because Make states that its skool documentation is limited, the exact screen you see may differ. If the connection fails, open it again from the module and repeat the authorization before touching the rest of the scenario.
03Does the skool Make integration have a real-time trigger?
No. skool has no trigger in Make at all, neither scheduled nor instant. A scheduled trigger is one Make checks on a timer; an instant one is called by the app through a webhook. To start a flow anyway, open the scenario with a trigger from another app, such as the form or store where people sign up, and let Invite a New Member run after it. You can also start a scenario on Make's own schedule, every 15 minutes by default on a new scenario, or 1 minute at the lowest on a paid plan.
04What if the skool module you need is missing in Make?
It depends on what you need. The skool app in Make has one module, Invite a New Member, and no Make an API Call module, so there is no generic way to reach other parts of skool from Make. Removing members, reading posts or watching new joins are not covered. In that case, look at whether another app in your stack can hold that step, for instance your CRM or your payment tool. If the gap blocks a real project, the Hack'celeration Make agency team can review your setup and tell you what is feasible with the current module.
05Should you use Make or n8n for skool?
It depends on your criteria. On Make, skool offers one action that invites a new member, and this page only documents that side. Before choosing, list what your flow needs: if inviting people is enough, the Make module covers it. If you also need to react to activity inside skool, check what each tool offers for the app before building, since the Make side has no trigger. Pick the tool your team already uses for the rest of its automations, and compare them on the same flow rather than on reputation.
