Overview

What the 3Dsellers Zapier integration is for

3Dsellers lets online sellers run listings, stock, orders and customer support for several marketplaces from a single dashboard. The Zapier integration plugs that dashboard into the rest of your tools: it reports each new order as it happens, and it can add products, product categories and look up existing items in your catalog.

An order log that fills itself. Order Created sends every fresh sale to a spreadsheet, an accounting tool or a team chat, so nobody exports a report at the end of the day.

A catalog fed from your source of truth. When products live first in a supplier sheet or a planning tool, Create Product copies them into 3Dsellers, and Create Product Category sets up the shelf they belong on.

No duplicate listings. Find Products checks whether a SKU already exists before anything gets created, which keeps your catalog clean.

Now the limits. Zapier sees only one event in 3Dsellers, the new order. It cannot react to stock changes, edited listings or support messages, and it cannot update or delete a product. Every write it makes is a creation. If your plan relies on syncing inventory both ways, this integration covers just part of it.

Vocabulary

Zapier in one minute

A handful of Zapier words show up on every screen. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that kicks off the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier sits and waits for it to happen.
Action
What the Zap does once it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something on your behalf.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One action that completes successfully is one task, and your plan counts those.
Polling vs instant
Polling: Zapier checks the app on a timer. Instant: the app calls Zapier itself the moment the event occurs.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something already stored in an app, so the following steps can reuse what it found.
Connection
Your account in an app, linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that touches that app.
Cost

What a 3Dsellers Zap really costs

Watching for orders is free. The Order Created trigger never costs a task, however many sales come in; only completed actions are billed.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps: one trigger, one action
  • Premium appNo, available on the free plan
  • Order CreatedInstant, so the grid below does not apply

Each action that goes through counts as one task, and one that fails costs nothing. A Zap with three actions uses three times as many tasks as a one-action Zap. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month but only two-step Zaps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter, a second action or the Find Products search, and the Zap is multi-step, which means a paid plan. 3Dsellers is not a premium app, so a simple Zap runs on the free plan.

Connect

Connect your 3Dsellers account

  1. 01

    Open your apps list

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A small window opens with a search bar, listing every app you are able to link.

  2. 02

    Pick 3Dsellers

Type the app name in that window, choose 3Dsellers from the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the 3Dsellers sign-in side.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to 3Dsellers in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need your own account, plus read or write rights on any store data you do not own and want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first 3Dsellers Zap, step by step

GoalLog every new order in a sales sheet, enriched with the product details stored in 3Dsellers.

  1. 01

    Start from the order

Create a Zap, choose 3Dsellers as the starting app and Order Created as the event. Test it: Zapier pulls the three latest orders, and you pick one.

  2. 02

    Look up the product

Add Find Products from 3Dsellers and map the SKU from the sample order. Leave Successful if no search results are found? off if a missing product should stop the Zap.

  3. 03

    Add the action

Pick the app that receives the sale and map the order and product fields into it. With the search in the middle, this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and read what came back. When the output looks right, click Publish. Only orders placed from now on are handled; older ones stay where they are.

Triggers

The 3Dsellers trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in 3Dsellers, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Order Created

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new order is created in 3Dsellers.”

Each time a sale lands in 3Dsellers, this trigger hands the new order to Zapier. It is the only event Zapier can hear from the app, so every automation that starts in 3Dsellers starts here.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
log each sale in a reporting sheet, warn the packing team in a chat channel, or open the matching record in your accounting tool as soon as the order comes in.
Watch out
orders placed before you publish the Zap are not picked up, so a history of past sales needs a separate export.
Actions

The 3Dsellers actions

3Dsellers gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Product Category

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new product category in 3Dsellers.”

Adds a fresh category to your 3Dsellers catalog, the shelf that products get filed under.

When to use it
you launch a new product line in your planning tool and want the matching category ready before the first item is created.
Watch out
Category Name is required, so map it from a field that is never empty or the step fails.
2

Create Product

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new product in 3Dsellers.”

Writes a brand-new product into 3Dsellers from data that lives somewhere else, such as a supplier sheet or a form.

When to use it
your team prepares items outside 3Dsellers and wants them in the catalog without typing them twice.
Watch out
it always creates, it never updates. Run Find Products first if the same SKU could arrive twice.
Searches

The 3Dsellers search

1 search step looks for data that already exists in 3Dsellers, so a later step can use it.

A search step does not change anything. It looks inside 3Dsellers and passes what it found to the steps below. Searches sit at the bottom of the event list under SEARCH, and three settings decide what happens next.

1

Find Products

Search

In Zapier“Find all products, optionally matching the specified SKU”

Pulls products out of your 3Dsellers catalog, narrowed to one SKU if you give it one, so later steps can reuse their details.

When to use it
before creating an item, check that its SKU is not already listed, or fetch a product's data to enrich a message.
Watch out
leave the SKU blank and you get every product back, so set the multiple-results option on purpose.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, an empty search stops the Zap and skips the steps that relied on it. Switched on, the Zap carries on with nothing found.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
Ticking this turns a search into a find-or-create. 3Dsellers offers no such variant on Zapier, so pair the search with a filter and Create Product instead.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three choices when several items match: keep the first one (the default), stop the Zap, or pass all of them on at once.
When it breaks

When a 3Dsellers Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article and no rate limit specific to 3Dsellers. What goes wrong comes from how Zapier works in general.

Four situations explain most surprises on a Zap that touches a store catalog. None of them looks like an error on day one, which is why they are worth knowing before you publish. If one hits you anyway, our Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through the fixes.

  • Past orders never arrive

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Sales recorded before that are not picked up; bringing them over is a separate job.
  • The Zap keeps firing itself

If a Zap writes into the very place its own trigger watches, each write sets it off again. That loop burns through your task count fast.
  • A big import is held back

A sudden wave of new items, after a bulk import or a marketplace migration, can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running.
  • The search breaks the free plan

Adding Find Products, a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step. On the free plan, that version cannot be published.

FAQ

3Dsellers Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the 3Dsellers Zapier integration free?
Yes, it runs on the free Zapier plan, because 3Dsellers is not a premium app. That plan includes 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. The real ceiling is size: a free Zap holds one trigger and one action. Logging each new order in another tool fits. Checking a SKU with Find Products before creating a product does not, because the search makes the Zap multi-step, and multi-step Zaps need a paid plan.
02How many tasks does a 3Dsellers Zap use?
The Order Created trigger uses none. Zapier counts a task only when an action completes, so a new order that feeds one action costs one task, and the same order feeding three actions costs three. A failed action is not counted. Create Product and Create Product Category each cost one task when they succeed. Multiply your monthly orders or new products by the number of actions in the Zap, and compare that with the 100 tasks of the free plan.
03Does the 3Dsellers integration work in real time?
Yes, for orders. Order Created is an instant trigger: 3Dsellers alerts Zapier as soon as a sale is recorded, and the Zap runs straight away. The plan's checking interval does not apply, which matters on the free plan, where polling triggers wait up to 15 minutes between checks. The editor marks a Zap built on an instant trigger with a lightning bolt. The actions and the search run the moment their Zap reaches them.
04What does it take to connect 3Dsellers to Zapier?
A 3Dsellers account and a Zapier account. You add the connection from the Apps page in Zapier, sign in to 3Dsellers in the tab that opens, and allow access. To create products or categories, the account must be able to edit the catalog, not only read orders. If the Zap should touch store data owned by someone else, you also need read or write rights on it. The connection is made once and then reused by every Zap.
05Can Zapier update or delete products in 3Dsellers?
No. The two 3Dsellers actions on Zapier only create: one adds a product, the other a product category. Nothing edits or removes an existing item, and stock levels are not exposed either. The safe pattern is to run Find Products first and create only when the SKU is missing. For changes to existing listings, the work stays inside 3Dsellers or goes through another route. Knowing this early saves you from designing a sync that Zapier cannot finish.
06What if the 3Dsellers operation you need does not exist on Zapier?
Then the integration cannot do it, because Zapier shows only what 3Dsellers has published: one order trigger, two creation actions and one product search. Reacting to a stock change or a support message, for instance, does not appear in the editor. The usual way forward is to see whether another app in your setup already holds that event, or to compare automation platforms that reach 3Dsellers differently. A short scoping session with a specialist helps settle it.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for 3Dsellers?
Pick by criteria, not by ranking. Zapier gives 3Dsellers an instant order trigger, two catalog actions and a product search, with a quick setup and a free plan for two-step flows. If you need to edit or delete products, Zapier cannot, so check what other platforms expose for this app first. Monthly volume, budget, hosting and how much configuration you want to handle yourself are the other questions that usually separate the three.
