Overview

What the aamarPay Zapier integration actually does

The aamarPay Zapier integration watches your aamarPay merchant account and starts an automation each time a new transaction is processed. It works in one direction only: aamarPay feeds other tools, and no tool can write back into aamarPay through Zapier.

A ledger that fills itself. An online bookshop in Dhaka wants every payment on a spreadsheet for its reconciliation. New transaction sends each one to a new row.

An order confirmed in the shop's back office. A small clothing brand selling through its own site wants the order flagged as paid without anyone checking the gateway. The trigger hands the transaction to the e-commerce or order tool that follows.

A ping for the accountant. A training center collecting course fees wants its bookkeeper told about each payment without granting gateway access. One message per transaction does it.

What Zapier does not do here: no action, so no Zap can create, refund or change anything in aamarPay. No search either, so a Zap cannot look up an older transaction. And anything processed before you switch the Zap on stays out of it. If your setup needs those steps, compare Make vs Zapier and n8n vs Zapier first.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words do most of the work on this page. Plain English first.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. For aamarPay, it is a new transaction. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, here always in another app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action the Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your aamarPay account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that starts from it.
Cost

What a run really costs

The aamarPay side is free. The steps after it are not.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps: 1 trigger, 1 action
  • Paid plan required for the appNo
  • BilledEach successful action, never the trigger

The trigger never costs a task, however often Zapier checks aamarPay for new transactions. What you pay for are the actions in other apps: each one that succeeds counts as one task, and one that fails counts for nothing. aamarPay is not among the apps Zapier keeps for paid plans, so a two-step Zap runs on the free plan. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes a multi-step Zap (anything past one trigger plus one action), which needs a paid plan.

Connect

Connect aamarPay to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open your Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. Type aamarPay in the search box of the dialog, then pick it straight from the list of results.

  2. 02

    Sign in to aamarPay

Click Add connection. A new tab opens on aamarPay: sign in with the merchant account whose transactions you want, or with one that has read access to them.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Allow Zapier into the account. The connection then shows in your Apps list, and every Zap that starts from aamarPay reuses it without asking you again.

First Zap

Your first Zap: tell the bookkeeper only about the payments that matter

GoalEmail the bookkeeper about each new aamarPay transaction that meets a condition you choose, and skip the rest.

  1. 01

    Start a Zap

Create a new Zap, pick aamarPay as the app that starts it and New transaction as the event, then choose your connection.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent transactions of the account, so the next steps are mapped on a real payment rather than a blank.

  3. 03

    Add a filter

Add a Filter step from the plus icon. Pick a transaction field, a rule and a value. A number rule only works on numbers: pick a text rule by mistake and nothing ever passes.

  4. 04

    Add the email

Add the email step, address it to the bookkeeper and place the transaction details in the message. Test it once and read what came back.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. With a filter inside, it is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan to keep running.

Triggers

The aamarPay trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in aamarPay. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New transaction

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new transaction is processed.”

Each time aamarPay processes a new payment on your merchant account, this trigger picks it up and starts your Zap with the transaction attached. It is the integration's only operation, so every aamarPay Zap begins here and sends the result elsewhere.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
an online shop that wants each payment on its reconciliation sheet without downloading reports.
Watch out
on the free plan a payment can wait up to one check before the Zap sees it, so do not promise customers an instant confirmation.
When it breaks

When the aamarPay Zap breaks

Zapier ties no help article to aamarPay, so the trouble spots below are the general ones that apply to any Zap built on this trigger.

  • Past payments never show up

The Zap only sees transactions processed after it goes live. Everything earlier stays out, and moving that history is a separate job.
  • A loop in the next app

If a later step writes into a place that another of your Zaps watches, and that Zap writes back, the chain keeps restarting and drains the task count.
  • A sudden flood is held back

When the trigger returns a huge batch at once, after a migration for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.
  • No double counting

Zapier remembers which transactions it has already seen on this polling trigger, so the same payment does not start the Zap twice.

FAQ

aamarPay Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the aamarPay Zapier integration free?
Yes, for a two-step Zap. aamarPay is not reserved for paid plans, so it runs on the free plan, which gives 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps and a check every 15 minutes. The limit is size: the free plan builds only Zaps of one trigger and one action. Add a filter to keep only some transactions, or a second action, and the Zap turns multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
02How many tasks does an aamarPay Zap use?
None for aamarPay itself, one per successful action after it. The New transaction trigger never costs a task, however often Zapier checks. Each action in another app that goes through counts as one task, and a failed one counts for nothing. A Zap that logs a payment and then emails it uses two tasks per transaction. Multiply by your monthly transaction volume before picking a plan. Checking for new payments stays free at any interval.
03Does the aamarPay trigger work in real time?
No, New transaction is a polling trigger. Zapier asks aamarPay for new transactions at a fixed interval and keeps only those it has not seen. That interval is 15 minutes on Free, 2 minutes on Professional and 1 minute on Team and Enterprise. The app decides the type, and it cannot be switched to instant from the editor. On a paid plan you can also run a check by hand while you test.
04What does it take to connect aamarPay to Zapier?
An aamarPay merchant account and a Zapier account. If the transactions belong to an account you do not own, the login you use also needs read access to them. You create the connection once from the Apps page with + Add connection, and every Zap reuses it. Sign in with the wrong account and the Zap only sees that account's transactions, which is the usual reason payments seem to be missing.
05Can a Zap write anything back into aamarPay?
No. The integration has one trigger and no action, so aamarPay can only start a Zap. A Zap cannot create a payment, issue a refund or update a transaction in aamarPay. Everything the Zap does lands in other apps: a sheet, an inbox, an order tool. If a workflow needs a step inside the gateway, it has to happen in aamarPay itself or through another route. Plan the flow with aamarPay at the start.
06What if the aamarPay operation you need is not listed?
Then Zapier does not offer it today. The only operation is New transaction. There is no action, no search, and no way to look up an older payment from a Zap. When a missing step is essential, check whether another tool in your setup already holds that data, or whether another automation platform covers it for aamarPay. Building on a step that does not exist only delays the problem. Start from what exists.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for aamarPay?
It depends on the criterion, not on a winner. On Zapier, aamarPay brings one polling trigger, runs on the free plan and needs nothing technical beyond signing in. If you need actions inside aamarPay, or long multi-step flows on a tight budget, compare what Make and n8n offer for this app and how they count runs. Decide on coverage of the steps you need first, then on cost per run, since aamarPay will only ever sit at the start of the flow.
