Mpservices Zapier integrationAutomate Mpservices with Zapier.
The Mpservices Zapier integration gives you 3 triggers and 2 actions, with no search step. Work orders and inventory movements can start a Zap, and products can be created or restocked from your other apps. Here is what it does, what it costs and what breaks.

What the Mpservices Zapier integration actually does
Mpservices is where maintenance work is managed: work orders, assets, requests, plus the products held in inventory. Linking it to Zapier means two things. Activity in Mpservices (a work order created or edited, stock moving) can start an automation elsewhere, and other apps can push products or stock figures into Mpservices without anyone retyping them.
Three results people build with it. A movement log outside Mpservices: New Inventory Movement feeds every stock change into a sheet or a reporting tool. A heads-up on fresh work orders: New Work Order pushes each new order to the place your team already reads. A catalog that stays in step: when a product appears in another app, Create New Product opens it in Mpservices, and Update Stock and Unit Cost of a Product later corrects its stock and cost.
Now the gaps. There is no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing product or work order before acting. Work orders only go out: no action creates or edits one from another app. Nothing deletes either. And none of the three triggers is instant, so every one of them waits for Zapier's next check, at the interval your plan sets.

Zapier words in one minute
Seven words you will meet in the editor, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts a Zap, such as a new work order in Mpservices. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, like creating a product.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant one is reported by the app itself. All three Mpservices triggers poll.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What Mpservices on Zapier really costs
Zapier bills tasks, not checks. The trigger never costs a task, and looking for new work orders or movements is free however often Zapier looks.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- Mpservices on freeYes, not reserved for paid plans
- Trigger checksNever billed
- Filter or second actionPaid plan required
Each action that succeeds counts once, so a Zap with two actions uses twice as much as a Zap with one. An action that fails is not counted. Mpservices is not reserved for paid plans: it runs on the free plan, which gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but only two steps per Zap. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The grid below is how often Zapier checks a polling trigger on each plan.
Connect your Mpservices account
- 01
Open Apps and add a connection
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need an Mpservices account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Pick Mpservices
Type Mpservices in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Mpservices side so you can sign in with the account the Zap should act as.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to Mpservices in that tab and allow Zapier to access the account. From then on, every Mpservices step in every Zap reuses this connection, so you set it up once.
Your first Zap: log selected stock movements in a spreadsheet
GoalWhen Mpservices records a new inventory movement that passes a filter, add it as a row in your stock spreadsheet.
- 01
Build: set the trigger
Create a Zap, pick Mpservices as the trigger app and
New Inventory Movementas the event, then select the Mpservices connection you made earlier. - 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent movements of the account, so the mapping is done on a real one rather than on a blank.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter, then fill the field to check, the rule and the value. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so this step needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the spreadsheet action
Add your spreadsheet app and its add-row action, connect the account that holds the stock sheet, then map the movement fields to the columns you want to keep. Test it and read the row it wrote.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only movements recorded after this point are sent; the older ones stay in Mpservices, untouched.
Mpservices triggers
3 events start a Zap when something happens in Mpservices. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Inventory Movement
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new inventory movement is created.”
Starts a Zap each time Mpservices records a new inventory movement, so stock coming in or going out can be logged or reported somewhere else without a manual export.
New Work Order
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when you create a new work order.”
Fires when a work order is created in Mpservices and hands its details to the next step, so the people who act on it hear about it where they already work.
Update Work Order
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when you update a work order.”
Reacts to edits rather than creations: whenever a work order is updated in Mpservices, the Zap gets the order as it now stands.
Mpservices actions
Mpservices gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create New Product
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a product in the inventory”
Adds a product to the Mpservices inventory from data that came from another app, so the catalog does not have to be typed twice.
Update Stock and Unit Cost of a Product
ActionIn Zapier“Updates the value of Stock and unit Cost of a product and creates the corresponding movement record.”
Sets the current stock and unit cost of an existing product, and Mpservices records the matching movement on its own.
When the Mpservices Zap breaks
Zapier lists no Mpservices-specific limit or error. What can go wrong comes from how every Zap works.
Four cases are worth knowing before you publish. If one of your Zaps behaves oddly, our Zapier troubleshooting guide is the next stop.
Old work orders never show up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Orders and movements that already existed are not picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that keeps restarting
A Zap that writes into the place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and eat tasks fast. Keep the trigger and the write apart.A bulk import goes quiet
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back. The same order twice? No
On a polling trigger Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice.
