What the Adact Zapier integration actually does
Adact lets marketers build games and interactive campaigns without writing code. Connected to Zapier, it becomes a source: each time a player turns into a lead, or wins something, Adact tells Zapier, and Zapier hands that event to the next app in your automation. It sends, it never takes anything back in.
Three results people usually build. A growing lead list: New Unique Lead Created drops each fresh contact from a quiz or a spin-the-wheel into a spreadsheet the sales team already reads. A prize desk that runs itself: New Assigned Prize Created pings whoever ships the goodies, so a winner from a retail promo is not forgotten over a weekend. A CRM that knows where a contact came from: the lead trigger feeds your CRM, with the campaign picked at setup telling you which game produced it.
What Zapier does not do for Adact matters as much. There is no action, so no Zap can create a campaign, edit a player or assign a prize inside Adact. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot look up an existing Adact lead. Anything that has to change in Adact still happens in Adact.
Picking between platforms? The Make vs Zapier comparison sets the criteria side by side, and the Zapier review covers the plans in more depth.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on this page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier sits and waits for it to happen.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills you for: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan allowance is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger gets checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant one is reported by the app itself, the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops the run otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Adact account, linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step and every Zap that needs Adact.
What an Adact Zap really costs
The trigger is free. A new lead or a new prize never costs a task on its own.
- Trigger0 tasks
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month
- Premium appNo
You pay in tasks for what happens next: each action that completes counts once, and a failed one is not counted. Adact is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan, which gives 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap turns multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The polling grid below does not touch Adact, because both of its triggers are instant.
Connect your Adact account to Zapier
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box: type Adact and pick it from the list. You need an Adact account of your own before this step means anything.
- 02
Sign in to Adact
Click Add connection. A new tab opens on Adact's side, where you sign in with the account that owns the campaigns you want to watch. If a colleague owns them, ask for access first.
- 03
Grant access and come back
Allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection then shows up in your list, and every Zap that uses Adact reuses it, so you never sign in twice for the same account.
Your first Zap: every new Adact lead in a spreadsheet
GoalEach unique lead from a quiz campaign lands as a row in Google Sheets.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap, pick Adact as the app that starts it and New Unique Lead Created as the event. Choose the Adact connection made in the previous section.
- 02
Pick the campaign
Select the quiz campaign in the campaign field. It is required, and it keeps leads from your other games out of this particular sheet.
- 03
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent leads of the account, so you map the next step on a real one rather than on a blank.
- 04
Add the spreadsheet step
Add Google Sheets as the action, pick the spreadsheet and the sheet, then map what the Adact test returned into the matching columns of that sheet.
- 05
Test, then publish
Run the action once and check the row it wrote. If it looks right, click Publish: the Zap is on, and the next lead goes straight in.
The 2 Adact triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Adact, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Assigned Prize Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a prize is assigned to the player.”
A player wins, Adact hands them a prize, and this trigger starts your Zap with that award. It is the hook for anything that has to follow a win: shipping, a voucher email, a note to the person running the promotion.
New Unique Lead Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new unique lead is created.”
Fires once per new unique lead that an Adact campaign collects, which is the moment a player becomes a contact you can follow up with. Most lead-capture Zaps built on Adact start here.
When an Adact Zap breaks
Zapier publishes no help article and no specific limit for Adact. What can go wrong comes from how every Zap behaves.
Four cases are worth knowing before the first campaign goes live. None of them shows up as a clear error, which is why they catch people out.
Leads from before the Zap are ignored
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Players who signed up last week stay in Adact; moving them is a separate import job.A loop that eats your tasks
If a Zap writes back into the place its own trigger watches, it sets itself off again and again and burns through your monthly tasks fast.A sudden flood gets held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running the Zap on every item.Wrong campaign, silent Zap
Each trigger watches one campaign. Launch a new game and forget to point a Zap at it, and nothing fails: nothing simply arrives.
