Overview

What the Address Auto-Complete by Fetchify Zapier integration does

Fetchify is an address lookup service: you hand it a piece of an address, it hands back the full version, checked. On Zapier, that boils down to a single step you drop in the middle of a Zap: something arrives with an address, the step checks it and completes it, and the steps that follow use the cleaned-up version.

Three results people build with it. A clean mailing list: rows typed by hand into a spreadsheet go through Validate & Autocomplete Address before anyone prints a label, so half-written street names stop bouncing back. A tidier CRM: a new contact created by a sales rep with only a postcode gets its full address filled in by the same action. A warehouse that ships less to nowhere: an order address is checked first, and PO boxes can be left out when the carrier refuses them (that option covers the UK, the US and Canada only).

What Zapier does not do here: there is no trigger, so Fetchify never starts a Zap on its own. There is no search step either, and only one action. Each run checks one address, nothing in bulk, and anything you validated before the Zap existed stays as it was.

If you are still deciding whether Zapier is the right tool at all, the Zapier review looks at the platform as a whole, and n8n vs Zapier puts the two next to each other, one criterion at a time.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back on this page. Here they are in plain English, once.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Fetchify has none, so the trigger always comes from another app.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or checks something for you, here an address.
Task
What Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, nothing else.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself as soon as it happens.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter turns it into one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Connection
Your Fetchify account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap step that calls the address service.
Cost

What a Fetchify Zap really costs

Address Auto-Complete by Fetchify is not a premium app on Zapier, so it runs on the free plan. The Zapier bill is counted in tasks.

  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
  • One validated addressOne task
  • Writing the result backSecond action, paid plan

The trigger of the other app costs nothing, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to look for new items. Each address validated successfully is one task. A validation that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and checks every 15 minutes, but only for two-step Zaps. Here is the catch: validating an address is rarely the end. Writing the clean address back somewhere is a second action, which makes the Zap multi-step and calls for a paid plan.

Connect

Connect your Fetchify account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open the connections page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. All you need on the other side is a Fetchify account of your own that you can sign in to.

  2. 02

    Find the app

Type Address Auto-Complete by Fetchify in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the list, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Fetchify side.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Fetchify in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then appears in your list, ready for every Zap that validates an address.

First Zap

Your first Zap: clean up addresses typed into a sheet

GoalEach new row added to a Google Sheets contact list has its address validated and completed, then written back into the row.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap with Google Sheets and New Spreadsheet Row as the event. Point it at the sheet where people type addresses in.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent rows of the sheet, so pick one with a real address to build the rest on.

  3. 03

    Add the validation

Add Validate & Autocomplete Address. Map the address column into the query field and set the country code, by hand or from a column.

  4. 04

    Write the result back

Add Google Sheets with Update Spreadsheet Row, target the same row, and map what Fetchify returned into the address columns. This step needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each step once and check the row now holds the completed address. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on for good.

Actions

The Fetchify action

Address Auto-Complete by Fetchify gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Validate & Autocomplete Address

Action

In Zapier“Validates and autocompletes an address.”

Give it a partial or full address, such as a street with a number or just a postcode, plus a country, and it returns the best matching complete address for the next steps to use.

When to use it
a webshop order arrives with a hurried address and shipping needs the full one.
Watch out
the PO box exclusion only works for the UK, the US and Canada.
When it breaks

When a Fetchify Zap breaks

Fetchify has no Zapier help article of its own and no published rate limit. What goes wrong is mostly about the Zap around it.

Four situations explain most surprises. None is specific to Fetchify, and each one is easy to avoid once you have seen it. If a Zap still misbehaves after that, the Zapier troubleshooting guide goes through the usual checks step by step.

  • Old addresses are never cleaned

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Rows or contacts that existed before stay untouched, and cleaning that backlog is a separate job.
  • The sheet keeps triggering itself

Writing the clean address into the very place the trigger watches can set the Zap off again and again, and it burns through the task count fast.
  • An import stalls

When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.
  • A row is never validated twice

Zapier remembers what it already saw on a polling trigger, so the same item starts the Zap once.

FAQ

Address Auto-Complete by Fetchify Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Address Auto-Complete by Fetchify Zapier integration free?
On the Zapier side, yes: Fetchify is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. That plan gives 100 tasks a month, but it only builds two-step Zaps, one trigger and one action. Validating an address is that one action. As soon as you want to write the clean address somewhere, you add a second action, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. You also need a Fetchify account of your own.
02How many tasks does validating an address use?
One task per address validated successfully. The trigger of the other app costs nothing, and Zapier looking for new items costs nothing either, however often it checks. A Zap that validates an address and writes it back uses two tasks per run, one for each action. A validation that fails is not counted against your plan. So the count follows the number of addresses that actually go through, not the number of Zaps.
03How fast does a Fetchify Zap run, if the app has no trigger?
As fast as the trigger of the other app allows. Fetchify has no trigger, so the speed depends on what starts the Zap. If that trigger is instant, the app tells Zapier the moment something happens. If it polls, Zapier checks every 15 minutes on the free plan, every 2 minutes on Professional, and every minute on Team and Enterprise. Once started, the validation step runs straight after. In practice, the trigger you pick decides how quickly addresses get checked.
04What do you need to connect Fetchify to Zapier?
A Fetchify account you can sign in to. The connection goes through the Apps page of Zapier, the add connection button, a search for the app, then a sign-in on Fetchify and the access grant. After that, the action itself needs two values every time: the address to search and a country code of 2 or 3 letters. Without the country code the step will not run at all. Test the step once on a real address before you publish the Zap.
05Why does Fetchify ignore the PO box setting?
Because the option to exclude post office boxes only applies to addresses in the UK, the US and Canada. Everywhere else it has no effect, and a PO box can still come back as the best match. If your carrier refuses PO boxes in another country, the action cannot screen them for you, so plan a manual check or another step after it. Keep that limit in mind before promising cleaner deliveries to your team.
06What if the Fetchify operation you need is not in Zapier?
Then Zapier cannot do it for this app. The editor offers a single action, which validates and completes one address. There is no trigger, no search and no bulk option. If the missing piece is on the app that starts your Zap, look at that app's own list of triggers and actions, since every app brings its own. Anything else has to happen in Fetchify itself. Nothing in the Zapier editor works around that single-action limit for this app.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Fetchify address checks?
It comes down to your criteria, not to a winner. On Zapier, Fetchify offers one action, it is not premium, and a real use case usually needs a second action, so a paid plan. Compare how each tool bills a run with two or three steps, how much you are ready to host yourself, and whether each one actually offers a Fetchify connector before you commit. A short test on each platform tells you more than any feature list.
