What the Agency Revolution Fuse Zapier integration is for
Fuse is the marketing automation platform insurance agents use to keep in touch with their customers through campaigns. On Zapier, it adds one possibility: you drop a Zap step into a campaign, and when a contact reaches it, a Zap (the automation you build on Zapier, one trigger followed by one or more actions) starts in another tool.
Three outcomes agencies usually build on that. A human follow-up at the right moment: when a renewal campaign reaches its Zap step, a task lands in the account manager's project list, so the phone call happens on schedule rather than when someone remembers. A record outside Fuse: the same step adds a line to a shared spreadsheet, and the agency principal sees which campaigns actually reach their later stages. A team alert: a message reaches the service team's chat, so whoever is free picks up the customer while the email is still in their inbox.
What Zapier does not do here matters just as much. Fuse only sends; nothing comes back. There is no action to add a contact, start a campaign or change a sequence in Fuse from Zapier, and no search to look anything up there. The campaign itself, its sequences and its steps are all built in Fuse; Zapier only takes over from the step you mark.
If you are still weighing platforms, the n8n vs Zapier comparison puts the two side by side; with a single trigger to work from, the choice mostly comes down to which tool you already run.
Zapier words you will meet on this page
Seven terms, in plain English, before the details.
- Zap
- What you build on Zapier: a starting event, followed by the steps it sets off, repeated each time that event comes round again.
- Trigger
- The event that starts a Zap. Here, a Fuse campaign reaching the Zap step you picked; once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- The work a Zap does after it starts: it writes, sends or moves something in another app so you do not have to.
- Task
- Zapier's billing unit: one action that completes successfully. The monthly allowance of a plan is a count of these.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a fixed timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens. This Fuse trigger is instant.
- Filter
- A checkpoint inside the Zap: if what Fuse sent fails your condition, the run ends there and later steps are skipped.
- Connection
- Your Fuse account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that needs it without a new sign-in.
What a Fuse Zap costs in tasks
Agency Revolution Fuse is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan.
- Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan steps1 trigger + 1 action
- Premium appNo
- Integrate With Zap StepInstant, the grid below does not apply
The trigger never costs a task, and Zapier waiting for the campaign step costs nothing either. Each action that completes is billed once: one step reached and one task created is one task; the same step feeding a sheet and a chat message is two. A failed action is not counted. The free plan includes 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only; a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
Connect Agency Revolution Fuse to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Find the app
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. Search for Agency Revolution Fuse in the dialog that appears and select it from the results.
- 02
Sign in to Fuse
Click Add connection. Fuse opens in a new tab: sign in with the account that owns the campaigns you plan to automate, since the Zap only sees what that account can see.
- 03
Approve the access
Grant Zapier access in that tab. The connection is saved to your Apps list, and each new Zap that uses Fuse can select it straight away, with no need to sign in again.
Your first Zap: turn a renewal step into a task and an email
GoalWhen a Fuse renewal campaign reaches its Zap step, a filter keeps the right contacts, then Asana gets a task and Gmail sends a note to the producer.
- 01
Pick the campaign step
Create a Zap, choose Agency Revolution Fuse and Integrate With Zap Step, then select the campaign, the sequence and the step the Zap should listen to.
- 02
Test on real data
Run the trigger test. Zapier returns the three most recent items of the connected account, so the mapping in the next steps is done on a real event, not an empty template.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, pick Filter and set the field, the rule and the value. Choose a text rule for text, a number rule for numbers, or it will never pass.
- 04
Add the task and the email
Add the Asana task, then the Gmail message, mapping what Fuse sent into each. With a filter and two actions, this Zap needs a paid plan.
- 05
Test, then publish
Run each step once and check what came back. Then click Publish: from now on, every contact who reaches that step starts the Zap.
Agency Revolution Fuse triggers on Zapier
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Agency Revolution Fuse, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Integrate With Zap Step
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an Agency Revolution Zap Step is triggered inside a campaign.”
Starts your Zap whenever a contact reaches a Zap step you placed inside a Fuse campaign. In practice, it lets a campaign pass the baton to any app Zapier supports, at the exact point of the sequence where you put that step.
When the Fuse Zap breaks
Zapier lists no help article specific to Agency Revolution Fuse. What follows are the general failures, and every one of them can hit a Fuse Zap.
Expect these in the first days, once real campaigns run through the Zap. For anything else, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through reading a failed run.
Contacts already past the step are skipped
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Contacts who reached the step earlier never start it; catching them up is a separate job.A big campaign launch gets held
If the trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, say after a bulk import of contacts, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back rather than start the Zap for every contact at once. The Zap restarts itself
When a later step writes into the very place the trigger watches, the Zap fires again and again and drains the task count quickly. The filter never passes
Filter rules are typed: a number rule on a text value always fails. The run stops at the filter and neither the task nor the email is created.
