Overview

One search step, and the rest of the Zap gets smarter

Connecting Enrich CRM to Zapier gives you a single lookup, Enrich Person & Company. You feed it one identifier (a company domain, an email address or a LinkedIn URL) and it brings back firmographic, technical and financial details about that company. Nothing starts from Enrich CRM: another app has to kick things off.

Three things people usually build with it. A richer lead row. A form comes in, the Zap runs Enrich Person & Company on the email, and the sheet or CRM row gets the company details next to the contact. A sorted inbox. The same lookup feeds a filter, so only companies matching what you check during the test reach your sales channel. A cleaner handoff. A new booking or signup gets its company context before anyone on the team opens it.

Now the honest part. Enrich CRM on Zapier has no trigger, so it can never notice something by itself. It has no action either: it reads, it never writes back into Enrich CRM. And because a search is a step of its own, every Zap that uses it has at least three steps once you add a destination, which matters for your plan (more on that below).

If you weigh other tools, the Enrich CRM Make integration covers the same app on Make, and the Make vs Zapier comparison lays the two side by side. For a wider look at Zapier itself, see the Zapier review.

Vocabulary

Zapier words in one minute

Seven words you will meet on this page and in the editor. Each one in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then one or several steps that run each time that event happens.
Trigger
The event that gets the Zap going, such as a demo request landing in a form. Enrich CRM has none, so another app always plays this part.
Action
A step that writes or sends something once the Zap runs, like adding a row to a sheet. Enrich CRM offers none: it only looks things up.
Task
What Zapier bills: one action your Zap finishes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, nothing else.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, so later steps can reuse what it found. Enrich CRM is one.
Cost

What an Enrich CRM Zap really costs

Enrich CRM is not a premium app, so the app itself is open on the free plan. The catch sits in the shape of the Zap.

  • Premium appNo
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
  • BilledEach successful action
  • Not billedThe trigger and Zapier's checks

The trigger costs nothing, and neither does Zapier checking for new data. Each action that succeeds counts as one task, and a failed one is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps and a 15-minute check, but only two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. A search step, like a filter, turns the Zap into a multi-step Zap, and a multi-step Zap needs a paid plan. Since Enrich CRM only exists as a search, plan on a paid tier from day one.

Connect

Connect Enrich CRM to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. A connection is your Enrich CRM account linked once, then reused by every step that needs it.

  2. 02

    Find Enrich CRM

Type Enrich CRM in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the list, then click Add connection. You need an existing Enrich CRM account before this point.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

A new tab asks you to sign in to Enrich CRM. Log in, then grant Zapier access to the account. The connection now shows on your Apps page, ready for any Zap.

First Zap

Your first Zap: enrich every demo request

GoalA SaaS sales team gets demo requests through Typeform and wants only qualified companies, with their details, in a shared Google Sheets tracker.

  1. 01

    Start with the form

Create a Zap and pick Typeform as the starting app, with New Entry as the event. Test it: Zapier pulls the three most recent entries so you map fields on a real one.

  2. 02

    Add the lookup

Add a step, choose Enrich CRM and the search Enrich Person & Company. Map the email from the form into the identifier box, then choose a Data Type.

  3. 03

    Test the search

Run the step once and read what came back. Note which returned value tells a good prospect from a poor one, because the filter will use it.

  4. 04

    Filter, then write

Add a Filter on that value with a rule of the right kind (text or number). Then add Google Sheets and map the company details into the row.

  5. 05

    Test and publish

Test each remaining step, then click Publish to switch the Zap on. From now on, each new entry runs through the whole chain.

Searches

The Enrich CRM search, step by step

1 search step looks for data that already exists in Enrich CRM, so a later step can use it.

In the editor, searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under the SEARCH heading. Some fields in other steps also offer + Add search step, which inserts the lookup just before and wires its result in for you. Three settings decide what happens when the lookup goes sideways.

1

Enrich Person & Company

Search

In Zapier“Enrich-CRM fetches firmographic, technical, and financial data for a specified company.”

Give this lookup a company domain, an email address or a LinkedIn URL, and it returns firmographic, technical and financial information on the matching company for the next steps to use.

When to use it
right after a form, a booking or a signup, when the contact alone says too little about who they work for.
Watch out
the Data Type field is required too, so the lookup cannot run until you pick one.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, a lookup that finds nothing stops the Zap there and skips the steps that relied on it. Switch it on and the Zap carries on with empty values.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
This box turns a search into find-or-create. Enrich CRM offers no such variant, so you will not see it on this search.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three ways out when several results match: keep the first (the default), stop the Zap, or pass all of them to the next steps.
When it breaks

When an Enrich CRM Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Enrich CRM, and this page records no limit specific to the app. What breaks here are the general Zapier rules, and they bite harder on a lookup.

Most failures come from the shape of the Zap, not from Enrich CRM itself. Four cases to keep in mind before you publish.

  • Old leads stay as they are

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Contacts already sitting in your sheet or CRM will not get enriched; that backlog is a separate job.
  • A loop that eats tasks

If the final step writes into the very place your trigger watches, every new row starts the Zap again. Keep the source and the destination apart.
  • A bulk import gets held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of running them all.
  • The same lead runs once

On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so one entry does not start the Zap twice. A duplicate in the source is another story.

FAQ

Enrich CRM Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the Enrich CRM Zapier integration free?
The app is free to connect, but a working Zap with it is not. Enrich CRM is not a premium app, so the free plan accepts it. The free plan, though, only builds two-step Zaps: one trigger and one action. Enrich CRM exists only as a search step, and a search turns a Zap into a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. In practice, as soon as you add a destination after the lookup, you are on a paid tier. The Enrich CRM account itself is a separate matter, handled on the Enrich CRM side.
02How many Zapier tasks does an Enrich CRM lookup use?
Zapier bills one task for each action that completes successfully, and the trigger never costs one. Checking for new data is free too, however often it happens. An action that fails is not counted. In a Zap with several actions, every successful one counts on its own, so a three-action Zap uses three times more than a one-action Zap. A few apps and actions take more than one task when they complete, so read the task count in your Zap history after the first real runs rather than guessing.
03Does Enrich CRM work in real time on Zapier?
Enrich CRM has no trigger, so the speed of the Zap depends on the app that starts it. If that app offers an instant trigger, it tells Zapier the moment something happens, whatever your plan, and the editor shows a lightning bolt. If the trigger is a polling one, Zapier checks it on a timer: every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional, every minute on Team and Enterprise. The lookup itself runs as soon as its turn comes in the Zap.
04What does it take to connect Enrich CRM to Zapier?
An existing Enrich CRM account and a Zapier account are enough to start. You open the Apps page in Zapier, click + Add connection, pick Enrich CRM, then sign in and grant Zapier access to the account. If the Zap touches anything you do not own yourself, you also need read or write access on it. Once saved, the connection is reused by every step that uses Enrich CRM, so you only do this once.
05Why does the Enrich CRM step fail to run?
Usually because one of its two required fields is empty. Enrich Person & Company needs an identifier, which can be a company domain, an email address or a LinkedIn URL, and it needs a Data Type. If the trigger app does not collect any of those identifiers, there is nothing to map and the step stays incomplete. Check the trigger test first: the three recent items it brings back show whether an email or a domain is really there.
06What if the Enrich CRM operation you want is missing?
Then it is not on Zapier today. The only operation listed is the search Enrich Person & Company: no trigger, no action, so nothing writes into Enrich CRM and nothing starts from it. The usual way around it is to let another app start the Zap and run the lookup in the middle. For anything beyond that, the app's own tools are the place to look, and the Zapier page of the app is worth checking again later since the list can change.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Enrich CRM?
It depends on a few criteria rather than on a winner. On Zapier, Enrich CRM offers exactly one search and no trigger or action, and the app is not premium. Every useful Zap with it is multi-step, so plan cost matters: count one task per successful action. Then weigh who maintains the Zap, which apps sit around Enrich CRM in your process, and whether the same operation exists on the other tool. Check each tool's own page for Enrich CRM before deciding.
