GetTranscribe Zapier integrationAutomate GetTranscribe with Zapier.

The GetTranscribe Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers and 7 actions. GetTranscribe never starts a Zap on its own: another app does, then GetTranscribe transcribes a video from its URL, sorts transcripts into folders or reads back what your account holds.

Overview

What the GetTranscribe Zapier integration does

GetTranscribe turns videos into transcripts and structured text you can reuse. Connected to Zapier, it becomes a step other tools can call: something happens elsewhere, a video gets published, a request comes in, and GetTranscribe does the transcription or the filing without you opening it.

Three results are within reach. A transcript for every new video: Create Transcription takes a video URL from the step before it and starts the work. Tidy storage: Create Folder and Update Folder give you one folder per client, course or campaign, named from your other tools. And text you can pass on: Get Transcription reads a given transcript back, so a later step can drop it into a document or a message.

Now what Zapier does not do with this app, because it shapes every Zap you build. GetTranscribe has no trigger at all, so it cannot tell Zapier that a transcript is ready; a Zap always starts in another app. There is no search step either, and no way to delete a folder or a transcript from a Zap.

Shopping around? The same app has its own GetTranscribe Make integration page, and our Zapier review helps you size up the platform. The operations below were read on the Zapier app page on 2026-10-01, version App239208CLIAPI@1.0.0.

Vocabulary

Zapier words in one minute

Seven terms come up on this page. Here is each one in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap. GetTranscribe has none, so the trigger always comes from another app you use.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, such as creating a transcription.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
Instant vs polling
An instant trigger is reported by its app the moment the event happens. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your GetTranscribe account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that touches GetTranscribe.
Cost

What a GetTranscribe Zap costs you

GetTranscribe is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Zapier bills tasks, and all seven operations here are actions.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Steps on the free planOne trigger and one action
  • GetTranscribe triggersNone, the Zap starts elsewhere
  • Premium appNo

The trigger, which comes from another app, costs nothing, and neither does Zapier waiting for it. Every GetTranscribe action that succeeds counts as one task; a failed one is not counted. The free plan stops at two steps, one trigger and one action, so a filter or a second GetTranscribe step makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. How fast it starts depends on that other app's trigger: if it polls, the grid below applies.

Connect

Connect GetTranscribe to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your Zapier apps

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a GetTranscribe account first, plus access to any content you do not own but want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

    Pick GetTranscribe

Type GetTranscribe in the search box of the dialog, select it and click Add connection. A new tab opens on the GetTranscribe side so you can sign in with your usual login.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to GetTranscribe and grant Zapier access to the account. From then on, every Zap that uses GetTranscribe reuses this same connection, so you only do this once.

First Zap

Your first Zap: transcribe the videos that matter

GoalEach time a new video lands in your video tool, the Zap sends its URL to GetTranscribe, but only for the videos that meet a condition you choose.

  1. 01

    Build: choose the trigger

Create a Zap and pick the app where your videos are published, with its event for a new video. GetTranscribe has no trigger, so the Zap has to start here.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from that account, so you work on a real video and can see which values it carries, and whether one of them is the video's URL.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon and add Filter. Choose a field, a rule of the right type and a value. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so this one needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add GetTranscribe

Add GetTranscribe and choose Create Transcription. Map the video URL from the trigger into the URL field, which is the only required field of this action.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test the step and check that a new transcription shows up in your GetTranscribe account. Then click Publish. Videos published earlier are not picked up.

Actions

The 7 GetTranscribe actions

GetTranscribe gives you 7 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Folder

Action

In Zapier“Creates a folder in the system”

Creates a new folder in your GetTranscribe account, with the name you set. Folders keep transcripts sorted instead of piling up in one list.

When to use it
an agency that opens a folder for each new client signed in its CRM.
Watch out
Folder Name is required; map a value that is never empty.
2

Create Transcription

Action

In Zapier“Create a transcription”

Starts a transcription in GetTranscribe from the URL of a video. It is the heart of the integration: the step that turns spoken content into text.

When to use it
a podcast producer who wants a transcript of every video episode for show notes.
Watch out
the URL is required, so the step before must provide a link to the video.
3

Get Transcription

Action

In Zapier“Get a specific transcription by using its ID”

Reads back one transcription by its ID, so the next steps can use its content. This is how a transcript leaves GetTranscribe for another tool.

When to use it
a content marketer who drops a finished transcript into a draft document for editing.
Watch out
the Transcription ID is required; without it, the action has nothing to fetch.
4

Get User Info

Action

In Zapier“Get user information from your account.”

Fetches information about a user of your GetTranscribe account. It is an advanced step, mostly for checks rather than everyday flows.

When to use it
an admin who wants account details pulled into an internal report.
Watch out
the User ID is required, and it is the system user ID of your account, not an email.
5

List Folders

Action

In Zapier“List forlders in your account.”

Returns the folders in your GetTranscribe account. It is the quickest way to see how your transcripts are organized from inside a Zap.

When to use it
an operations manager checking which client folders exist before filing new work.
Watch out
like the transcription list, it hands back several folders at once rather than one.
6

List Transcriptions

Action

In Zapier“Retrieve a list of all transcriptions from GetTranscribe.”

Retrieves the list of transcriptions in your GetTranscribe account. Useful as a step that gathers what exists before something else happens.

When to use it
a video team lead who wants an overview of all transcripts posted to a team channel.
Watch out
it returns your whole list, not a single match, so plan how the next step handles several items.
7

Update Folder

Action

In Zapier“Update folder in the system.”

Renames an existing folder in GetTranscribe. Handy when the project or client behind it changes name.

When to use it
a training company that renames course folders when a course is retitled in its catalog.
Watch out
both the Folder ID and the new Folder Name are required, so you need the ID of the folder first.
When it breaks

When a GetTranscribe Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to GetTranscribe, so the known failure points are the ones every Zap shares, plus the required IDs.

None of these shows up when you first test. They come later, when volume grows or a field goes missing. Four to keep in mind:

  • Old videos never get transcribed

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Videos that already existed are not picked up, and transcribing the backlog is a separate job.
  • A missing ID stops the step

Get Transcription, Update Folder and Get User Info each need an ID. When the step before does not hand one over, the action fails and nothing changes.
  • A bulk upload gets held back

When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold the runs back.
  • A loop through the trigger app

If a later step writes back into the place the trigger app watches, the Zap sets itself off again and again, and your task count drains quickly.

FAQ

GetTranscribe Zapier integration: your questions

01Is the GetTranscribe Zapier integration free?
Yes, it works on the free Zapier plan, because GetTranscribe is not a premium app. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps: one trigger and one action. A Zap that sends each new video to Create Transcription fits. Add a filter, or a second GetTranscribe step such as Get Transcription, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan to stay on.
02How many tasks does a GetTranscribe Zap use?
One task per action that succeeds, and nothing for the trigger. A Zap that creates one transcription per new video uses one task per video. A Zap with three actions, say a folder, then a transcription, then a message in another tool, uses three tasks per run. Waiting for the trigger costs nothing, and failed actions are not billed. With 100 tasks a month on the free plan, count your expected videos before relying on it.
03Does GetTranscribe work in real time with Zapier?
GetTranscribe has no trigger, so the speed depends on the app that starts your Zap. If that app has an instant trigger, it tells Zapier the moment something happens and the Zap runs right away. If its trigger polls, Zapier checks on a timer, every 15 minutes on the free plan and faster on paid plans. Pick an instant trigger in the starting app when it offers one, and the GetTranscribe step follows straight after.
04What does it take to connect a GetTranscribe account?
A GetTranscribe account, plus access to anything you do not own but want the Zap to touch. Then three moves: open the Apps page in Zapier, click + Add connection and pick GetTranscribe, then sign in and grant access in the tab that opens. That connection serves every Zap afterwards. Keep in mind that several actions ask for an ID, so it helps to know where your transcription and folder IDs come from.
05How can a GetTranscribe Zap start if the app has no trigger?
It starts in another app. Every Zap begins with a trigger, and GetTranscribe offers none, so you pick the tool where the event really happens: a video platform, a form or a project tool. That trigger hands its data to the GetTranscribe step, for example a video URL for Create Transcription. GetTranscribe also cannot tell Zapier that a transcript is finished, so plan any follow-up step with that in mind.
06What if the GetTranscribe operation you need is not there?
Then a Zap cannot do it for GetTranscribe today. The app offers seven actions and no trigger or search, so deleting a folder, removing a transcript or reacting when a transcript is ready is out of reach. The practical route is to handle those steps outside the Zap and let Zapier run the hand-offs it does cover. If a missing operation blocks a whole process, compare what other platforms offer for the same app before you commit.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for GetTranscribe?
Choose by criteria, not by a winner. First, check that the operation you need exists on each platform: on Zapier, GetTranscribe offers seven actions and no trigger. Second, compare how each tool bills a run; on Zapier, only successful actions count as tasks. Third, think about who will maintain the automation and how comfortable they are with a technical setup. Put your own process through those three points and test the key step on each.
