What the GoodBarber eCommerce Zapier integration does for your store
The integration links the online store you run on GoodBarber, the no-code builder for native iOS and Android apps, to Zapier. A sale, a new customer or a fresh promo code in the store can start an automation on its own, and three actions write back into the store: a push message, a stock level, a tracking link.
Three results come up again and again. A promo that announces itself: New Promocode fires, Send Push Notification reaches every recipient of your app, and nobody has to remember to do it. A stock level kept in step: Update the Inventory Quantity changes the count of an existing variant when another step of the Zap carries the new number. A parcel the buyer can follow: Update a Tracking URL attaches the carrier link to an order once a step of the Zap knows it.
The good news for a small team: all 8 triggers are instant. The store warns Zapier itself, so the free plan reacts as fast as the paid ones.
Now the limits. Zapier cannot create a product, an order or a customer in GoodBarber eCommerce: the three actions only update or broadcast. The four searches work by ID, so a Zap needs that ID from an earlier step. And Zapier describes the push as going to every recipient, not to a chosen group. If you also weigh other tools, the GoodBarber eCommerce Make integration covers the same store on Make.
Zapier words, in plain English
Seven words come back on every line of this page. Read them once here.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap, such as a new order in your store. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that sends, writes or updates something for you, like a push notification.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. Your plan counts tasks, nothing else.
- Instant vs polling
- An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer set by your plan.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something that already exists, so the next steps can use what it found.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a GoodBarber eCommerce Zap really costs
A Zap that listens to your store costs nothing while it waits. The trigger never uses a task, and neither does Zapier checking for new data.
- TriggerFree, never counted
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2 steps per Zap
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
You pay in tasks: each action that succeeds counts once, so a push plus a stock update is two tasks per run. A failed action is not counted. GoodBarber eCommerce is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan: 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, but only two steps per Zap. Add a filter or a search and the Zap becomes multi-step, which means a paid plan. Since every trigger of this app is instant, the polling grid below never slows your store Zaps down; it only matters for other apps you mix in.
Connect your GoodBarber eCommerce store to Zapier
- 01
Open the connections page
In Zapier, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your store account, linked once and reused by every Zap step that touches GoodBarber eCommerce.
- 02
Pick GoodBarber eCommerce
Type the app name in the search box of the dialog, select GoodBarber eCommerce in the results, then click Add connection to start the sign-in, which you finish in the next step.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
A new tab opens on GoodBarber: sign in with the account that runs the store and grant Zapier access. If someone else owns the store, you need read or write rights on what the Zap will touch.
Your first Zap: push every new product to your app users
GoalWhen a product goes live in the store and passes your rule, every recipient of the app gets a push notification.
- 01
Build: choose the trigger
Create a Zap, pick GoodBarber eCommerce as the app and
New Productas the event. Select the connection you added earlier. - 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier pulls the three latest products from your store. Pick a real one: its values are what you will map in the next steps.
- 03
Add a filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter, then set the field, the rule and the value. Use a text rule on text and a number rule on numbers, or the filter never lets anything through.
- 04
Add the push action
Add GoodBarber eCommerce again with
Send Push Notification. Write the message and drop in the product values from the trigger. Keep in mind it reaches every recipient. - 05
Test, then Publish
Test the action once and check the push on your own phone. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. This Zap has a filter, so it needs a paid plan.
GoodBarber eCommerce triggers
8 events start a Zap when something happens in GoodBarber eCommerce, and 8 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Abandonned Order
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new order is abandonned before purchase.”
Starts the Zap when a shopper leaves an order behind before paying. You get the cart while the buyer still remembers it, which is the whole point of a recovery flow.
New Customer
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new customer is created.”
Fires as soon as a customer account appears in your store. It is the cleanest starting point for anything you do once per buyer, rather than once per order.
New Order
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new order is successfully created.”
Runs when an order is created successfully in the store. Zapier highlights this one, and it is the event to build on for anything that follows a real order.
New Product
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new product is created.”
Kicks in when you add a product to the catalogue. Think of it as the moment a listing exists, ready for anything that should follow a launch.
New Product Variant
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new variant is created.”
Fires when a variant is created, such as a new size or colour on an existing product. It works one level below New Product, so you can follow the catalogue in detail.
New Promocode
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new promocode is created.”
Starts when you create a promo code in the store. It lets a discount travel to your customers the instant it exists, instead of waiting for someone to share it.
Updated Promocode.New Lead
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is created.”
Picks up each lead created in the store. It is a separate event from a new customer, so the Zap can follow contacts at their own stage.
Updated Promocode
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a promocode is updated.”
Runs each time an existing promo code is changed. Use it when the edit matters as much as the creation, since New Promocode only sees the first version.
GoodBarber eCommerce actions
GoodBarber eCommerce gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Update a Tracking URL
ActionIn Zapier“Updates the parcel tracking URL associated with an order.”
Attaches or replaces the parcel tracking link on an order, so the buyer can follow the delivery from the store. It updates an existing order and never creates one.
Send Push Notification
ActionIn Zapier“Sends a push notification to every recipients.”
Sends a push message to every recipient of your app in one go. It is the only outbound action, and the fastest way to put a promo, a launch or a restock on people's screens.
Update the Inventory Quantity
ActionIn Zapier“Updates the quantity of an existing product variant.”
Changes the stock count of a variant that already exists. You hand it the variant and the new quantity, and the store shows the corrected number.
Find a Variant.GoodBarber eCommerce searches
4 search steps look for data that already exists in GoodBarber eCommerce, so a later step can use it.
A search step fetches something already in your store and hands it to the next steps. In the action-event list, the four searches sit at the bottom under SEARCH. All four look up by ID, and each one adds a step, so the Zap becomes multi-step. Three settings decide what happens next.
Find a Variant
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a variant by ID.”
Pulls a single variant, a size or colour of a product, from its ID. The values it returns can then feed a stock update further down.
Update the Inventory Quantity, to check you have the right line.Find a Collection
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a collection by ID.”
Fetches a collection of your catalogue from its ID, so its details can go into a message or another step.
Find an Option
SearchIn Zapier“Finds an option by ID.”
Looks up a product option from its ID and passes what it finds on to the next steps of the Zap.
Find a Product
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a product by ID.”
Retrieves a full product from its ID. Handy when a trigger gives you a variant and you want the product behind it.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap and skips the steps that depended on it. Switch it on and the Zap carries on empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet? This box turns a search into find-or-create. GoodBarber eCommerce offers no such variant, so you will not see it on these four searches.
- If multiple search results are found?Keep the first match (the default), stop the Zap, or pass every match on at once.
When a GoodBarber eCommerce Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to this app and lists no limit of its own. What breaks is what breaks on every Zap, with a store-shaped twist.
Four cases are worth knowing before you publish. If one hits you, head to our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Old orders never show up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Orders, customers and codes created before that stay where they are; moving the backlog is a separate job.A promo code Zap that loops
If a Zap edits a promo code and listens to Updated Promocode, each edit sets it off again. It keeps going and eats your task count fast.A catalogue import held back
Importing a whole catalogue at once can return a huge batch in one go, and Zapier's flood protection may hold those runs back instead of firing them all.A filter that never passes
Filter rules are typed: a text rule on a number, or the reverse, never matches. Check the rule type before blaming the trigger.
