What the Krumzi Zapier integration does
Krumzi generates images and videos from templates you design once and fill with fresh data each time. Zapier connects it to your other apps without code: a new record arrives in one tool, and Zapier asks Krumzi to produce the matching visual. The integration is small, with two actions and one trigger, and each has a precise job.
Three results people build first. A visual per record: a new record lands in another app, and Create Image renders a personalised card from your dynamic template. A clip per product: a new record appears in another app, and Create Video turns it into a branded video at the resolution you pick. Delivery once the video is ready: New Video Exported fires when the export is done, so a second Zap can post, email or store the file.
Now what Zapier does not do here. There is no search, so a Zap cannot look up an existing image or video in Krumzi. To act once a video has been exported, you start from the trigger, not from the video action. And the trigger is described for videos created by a Zapier action, so it is not a general watch on everything made in Krumzi. The upside: that trigger is instant, so it does not wait for the plan interval.

Zapier vocabulary, in plain words
Seven terms come back throughout this page. Here they are once.
- Zap
- The automation you set up on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap, such as a Krumzi video finishing its export. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts, like asking Krumzi to render an image or a video on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your monthly allowance is counted in tasks.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling means Zapier checks the app on a timer. Instant means the app calls Zapier itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap with more than one trigger and one action: a second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Krumzi Zap costs
Krumzi is not a premium app, so it runs on the free Zapier plan. Zapier bills actions, not triggers.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Premium appNo
- Krumzi trigger1, instant
- BilledEach successful image or video action
The New Video Exported trigger never costs a task. Each Create Image or Create Video that succeeds counts as one task, and a failed one is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, limited to two steps each: one trigger, one action. Ordering a video and acting on its export can be two separate two-step Zaps. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which requires a paid plan. The trigger is instant, so the interval grid below does not slow it down.
Connect Krumzi to Zapier
- 01
Open Apps
In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Krumzi account linked once and reused by every Krumzi step you build.
- 02
Select Krumzi
Search Krumzi in the dialog, pick it and click Add connection. A new tab opens on Krumzi. You need an existing Krumzi account for this, with your templates already saved.
- 03
Sign in and authorise
Log in to Krumzi in that tab and grant Zapier access. If the templates you plan to use belong to someone else, make sure your account can read and use them first.
Your first Krumzi Zap, step by step
GoalWhen a Krumzi video finishes exporting, make a matching image and send both by email.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap, choose Krumzi and New Video Exported, then your Krumzi connection and the dynamic template the trigger asks for.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent exports from the connected account so you can map from a real one. Once published, the trigger is instant, so it starts right away.
- 03
Add Create Image
Add a Krumzi step with Create Image, pick the dynamic template and map the fields from the exported video. The template decides the layout, Zapier only fills it.
- 04
Send the email
Add your email app as the last step and map details of the video and the image into the message. Three steps make this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 05
Test and publish
Test each step, check the image in Krumzi and the email in your inbox, then click Publish to switch the Zap on for good.
The Krumzi trigger on Zapier
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Krumzi, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Video Exported
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new video created by a Zapier action is successfully exported .”
Starts a Zap when a video that a Zapier action asked Krumzi to make has finished exporting. In practice it closes the loop on Create Video: one Zap orders the video, this trigger tells you it is ready to use.
Krumzi actions on Zapier
Krumzi gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Image
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new Krumzi image using a dynamic template.”
Renders a new Krumzi image from one of your dynamic templates, filling it with the values the earlier steps passed along. One run, one finished visual.
Create Video
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new Krumzi video using a dynamic template.”
Asks Krumzi to build a video from an automation template, with the data your trigger supplies, at the resolution you choose. The export happens on Krumzi's side, which is why the New Video Exported trigger exists.
When a Krumzi Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Krumzi, so these are the general limits that matter most here.
Krumzi Zaps rarely fail on the render itself; they fail on expectations about timing and history, or on a loop between the video action and the video trigger. See also our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Old videos are not picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Videos exported before that never start it; handling them is a separate job.A video Zap that feeds itself
If a Zap triggered by New Video Exported runs Create Video again, each export orders a new video, which exports, and so on. It burns tasks fast.A batch is held back
When many videos export at once, after a bulk run, Zapier's flood protection can hold the sudden batch back instead of running everything. The video is not ready yet
Create Video and New Video Exported are two separate operations. To act on the exported video, start a second Zap with the New Video Exported trigger.
