Kudoz Reviews Zapier integrationAutomate Kudoz Reviews with Zapier.
The Kudoz Reviews Zapier integration gives you 2 actions, Create Contact and Create Review Request, and no trigger. Another tool starts the Zap, and Kudoz receives the customer or sends the review request. It works on the free plan.

What the Kudoz Reviews Zapier integration actually does
Kudoz Reviews is reputation software for local businesses: it helps them collect more good reviews and deal with the bad ones. Through Zapier, the tools where your customers already live can push them into Kudoz and ask for a review the moment a job is done, with nobody copying names across.
Two results cover almost every use. A review request after every finished job: a sale, a closed ticket or a completed appointment in another app starts the Zap, and Create Review Request sends the ask while the experience is still fresh. A customer base that stays complete: new buyers from your shop or booking tool go through Create Contact, so Kudoz holds everyone you might ask later.
What the integration does not do is just as clear. Kudoz Reviews has no trigger on Zapier, so nothing that happens inside Kudoz, a new review or a low rating, can start a Zap. There is no search either: a Zap cannot check whether a contact already exists before creating it. Everything flows one way, from your other tools into Kudoz, and that shapes every Zap on this page.
If you are picking a platform for this kind of one-way flow, the n8n vs Zapier comparison is a good place to start. The site has no Kudoz Reviews page for n8n or Make yet.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words do all the work on this page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Kudoz Reviews has none, so here it always comes from another tool.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it starts: the step that writes or sends something for you, like a review request.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action that completed successfully, and your plan counts nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is pushed by its app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Kudoz Reviews account linked to Zapier once, then picked again by every Kudoz step in every Zap.
What a Kudoz Reviews Zap really costs
Kudoz Reviews is not a premium app, so it runs on the free Zapier plan. What you pay for is successful actions, nothing else.
- Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- Premium appNo, Kudoz Reviews works on the free plan
- Kudoz triggersNone, the Zap starts in another app
The trigger from your other app is free, and so is Zapier checking it for new data. Each Kudoz action that completes is one task; one that fails is not counted. One request per finished job means one task per job. The catch: the free plan only builds two-step Zaps. Create Contact followed by Create Review Request, or a filter to skip certain customers, makes the Zap multi-step, and that needs a paid plan.
Connect your Kudoz Reviews account in three steps
- 01
Open the connection dialog
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. Type Kudoz Reviews in the search box and select it. You need an existing Kudoz Reviews account first.
- 02
Sign in to Kudoz Reviews
Click Add connection. A new tab opens on Kudoz Reviews: sign in with the account that owns the business profile you want the requests to come from, or that has write access to it.
- 03
Grant Zapier access
Approve the access request in that tab. The connection then shows up on the Apps page and in every Kudoz step you add, so you do this once per account.
Your first Zap: a review request after each job
GoalWhen a job is marked done in a spreadsheet, ask that customer for a review through Kudoz Reviews.
- 01
Pick the starting app
Start a new Zap. Kudoz Reviews has no trigger, so choose the tool where finished jobs appear, here a spreadsheet, and the event for a new row.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent rows, so you can map a real customer rather than a made-up one. Nothing is billed for the test.
- 03
Add a filter
Add a Filter step from the plus icon: the status column, the rule, and the value Done. Only finished jobs go through, which keeps half-done work from asking for reviews.
- 04
Add Create Review Request
Add a Kudoz Reviews action, choose Create Review Request, and map the customer's first name, which is required, plus whatever contact details your sheet holds.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action on a row with your own details, read what Kudoz sent back, then click Publish. The filter makes this Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
Kudoz Reviews actions on Zapier
Kudoz Reviews gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a Contact in Kudoz.”
Adds a customer to your Kudoz Reviews account without asking them for anything yet. It builds the list you can come back to when the time is right to request a review.
Create Review Request
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new review request in Kudoz.”
Opens a new review request in Kudoz Reviews for one customer, so the ask starts from the tool where the job was closed. Only the first name is mandatory.
When a Kudoz Reviews Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Kudoz Reviews, so the failures you will meet are the general ones. With review requests they land in a customer's inbox, which makes them more visible.
Most broken Kudoz Zaps fall into one of these four cases. If the cause is not obvious, the Zapier troubleshooting guide is the next stop.
Past customers are never asked
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Jobs finished before that never send a request; asking past customers is a separate job.A bulk import floods customers
Paste a large batch of old rows into the source sheet and the trigger can return all of them at once. Zapier's flood protection may hold that batch back. The Zap writes where it listens
If a later step writes back into the sheet or tool the trigger watches, each write starts the Zap again and the task count drains fast.An edited row is not sent again
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has seen. Fixing a typo in a row already processed does not send a new request.
