LabsMobile Zapier integrationAutomate LabsMobile with Zapier.
The LabsMobile Zapier integration has 1 action and no trigger. That action, Send SMS, texts one or several phone numbers each time another app starts the Zap. Here is how to set it up, what it costs on both sides, and the length and sender rules that trip people up.

What the LabsMobile Zapier integration does
LabsMobile is an SMS platform that reaches phones in more than 200 countries. On Zapier it does one job: send a text message when something happens in another tool. LabsMobile never starts the Zap; a form, a shop, a calendar or a CRM does, and LabsMobile sends the text.
Three results people set up first. Order and booking confirmations by text: a new order or appointment calls Send SMS with the customer's number, so they get a message even if they never open email. Internal alerts that cut through: a high-value lead or an urgent ticket texts the person on call. Branded reminders: where the destination country allows it, the sender can show your brand name instead of a number.
What Zapier does not do here matters as much. There is no trigger, so an incoming reply or a delivery report in LabsMobile cannot start a Zap. There is no search and no way to read message history. And a text, once sent, cannot be edited or recalled from Zapier.
Two costs run side by side: Zapier counts tasks, LabsMobile counts credits per message. If you want help weighing that before you build, see our Zapier agency page and our Make vs Zapier comparison. Keep the scope in mind: LabsMobile offers a single action on Zapier and no trigger.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Six terms you will see below, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. LabsMobile has none, so the trigger always comes from another tool, like a shop or a form.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started. Here it is Send SMS, the step that texts the numbers you give it.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One action that succeeds equals one task, and your plan counts them month by month.
- Polling vs instant
- Zapier checks a polling trigger on a timer; an instant trigger is reported by its app at once. The app that starts the Zap decides which.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the data meets your condition, for example a phone number is present, and stops it otherwise.
What a LabsMobile Zap costs on both sides
LabsMobile is not a premium app, so the free Zapier plan can use it. Two meters run at once: Zapier tasks and LabsMobile credits.
- Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan Zap size2 steps: one trigger, one action
- Premium appNo, available on every plan
- One standard SMSUp to 160 characters per charged message
On Zapier, the trigger costs nothing and each Send SMS that succeeds counts one task, even when it texts several numbers at once. A failed send is not counted. The free plan allows two steps, one trigger plus Send SMS; add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. On LabsMobile, every 160 characters of a standard message is charged as one message, and the long-message and Unicode options can raise the credits used. If the trigger app works by polling, the grid below sets the delay.
Connect LabsMobile to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Add a connection
Open the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. A connection is your LabsMobile account linked once, then reused by every Zap that sends texts.
- 02
Choose LabsMobile
Type LabsMobile in the search box of the dialog, select it and click Add connection. A separate tab opens where LabsMobile asks you to sign in to your account.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to LabsMobile in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need a LabsMobile account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own and want the Zap to use.
Your first Zap: text every new customer
GoalEach new order in your shop sends the buyer a short confirmation text from your brand name.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap and choose the app and event that start it, here a new order in your shop. LabsMobile has no trigger, so the start always comes from another tool.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent orders, so you map the phone number and the name from a real customer.
- 03
Add Send SMS
Add Send SMS from LabsMobile, choose your connection, then map the phone number with its country code, set the sender and write the text.
- 04
Test the message
Send the test to your own phone first. Count the characters: past 160, a standard message is charged as more than one, so trim it now.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. With one trigger and Send SMS, it stays a two-step Zap that runs fine on the free plan.
LabsMobile action
LabsMobile gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Send SMS
ActionIn Zapier“Send a new SMS message.”
Texts one or several mobile numbers from the sender you choose, with the message the Zap builds from the data it received.
When the LabsMobile Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to LabsMobile. The failures below come from the fields of Send SMS and from the limits every Zap shares.
Most of them show up once real customers flow through. If texts stop going out, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Numbers without a country code
Send SMS expects every number with its country code, several numbers separated by commas. A local format typed into a form, without that prefix, does not match what the field asks for.A message longer than you think
Past 160 characters, a standard text is charged as several. Turning on long messages lets it go out, but it can consume more credits.Accents and emojis
Characters outside the standard set need the Unicode option, which shrinks a message to 70 characters and can raise the credits used.A sender name refused
A text sender is capped at 11 characters and only works in some countries. Elsewhere, use a number as the sender.Old orders never get a text
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Customers from before are not texted; contacting them is a separate job.A launch-day batch held back
When the trigger app returns a huge batch at once, after an import for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.
