Laxis Zapier integrationAutomate Laxis with Zapier.
The Laxis Zapier integration comes down to 1 trigger, 0 actions and 0 searches: each new meeting summary in Laxis can start a Zap that acts in another app. The trigger is instant, and the app works on the free plan. Here is what it does, what it costs and what to expect.

What the Laxis Zapier integration does
Laxis records meetings, transcribes them and helps you work with them through AI tools. On Zapier it exposes a single event: a new summary. Each time Laxis creates one, Zapier hears about it at once and passes it to the app of your choice. You set this up once, as a Zap.
One trigger, but several useful results, all built on New Summary. The summary where people actually read: the Zap passes it to the tool your team already opens every day. A record kept in a second place: each summary is copied to wherever your notes are stored. Only the meetings that matter: a filter after the trigger keeps the summaries that meet your condition and drops the rest.
Now the limits. Laxis offers no action and no search on Zapier: a Zap cannot start a recording, edit a summary or look anything up in Laxis. It reads from Laxis and writes elsewhere, nothing more, so every task it bills is spent in the other app. And summaries created before the Zap was switched on are never sent.
The good side: the trigger is instant, so even on the free plan nothing waits for a 15-minute check. To compare Zapier with other tools before building, see our Zapier review and Make vs Zapier.
Zapier vocabulary for this page
Six terms come back on this page. Each one is defined here once, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap. For Laxis, there is one: New Summary, when a new meeting summary is created.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something. With Laxis, it always runs in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan allowance counts those and nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer; an instant one is reported by the app right away. The Laxis trigger is instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
What a Laxis Zap really costs
Laxis is not reserved for paid plans, so the free plan can use it. You pay in tasks, and only successful actions create them.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Zap size on free2 steps: one trigger, one action
- Paid plan requiredNo, Laxis works on the free plan
- Trigger typeInstant, no polling interval
The Laxis side is free: the trigger never costs a task, and Laxis has no action to bill. What counts is the action in the other app, once per successful run; a failed action costs nothing. On the free plan, a Zap holds one trigger and one action, which fits the simplest Laxis setup: a summary here, one step there. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below does not apply to Laxis, since its trigger is instant.
Connect your Laxis account
- 01
Open your apps
Go to the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Laxis account linked once, then reused by every Zap that starts from it.
- 02
Pick Laxis
In the dialog that appears, type Laxis in the search box, select it in the list of results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Laxis side.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Sign in to Laxis in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need an account on the app, plus access to any meeting you do not own and want the Zap to pick up.
Your first Laxis Zap
GoalWhen Laxis creates a new meeting summary, keep only the ones that meet your condition and send them to another app.
- 01
Set the trigger
Create a Zap, choose Laxis as the app and New Summary as the trigger event, then select the Laxis connection you just made.
- 02
Test on real summaries
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent summaries of the connected account. Pick one that looks like the ones you want to send.
- 03
Add a filter
Add a Filter step and set the field to look at, the rule and the value to compare with. Pick a text rule for text and a number rule for numbers.
- 04
Add the action elsewhere
Add the action in the other app and map the summary into its fields. This is the only step of the Zap that consumes a task when it succeeds.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step and read what came back, then publish the Zap to switch it on. With the filter, this Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan.
Laxis trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Laxis, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Summary
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new summary is created.”
The single entry point of Laxis on Zapier: the Zap starts each time Laxis creates a new summary of a meeting, and the summary travels to the next step. Everything a Laxis Zap can do begins with this event.
When a Laxis Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article and no documented limit to Laxis. What can go wrong comes from how Zapier works in general.
Three cases cover most surprises. For anything else, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Older summaries never come through
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Summaries created before stay in Laxis; moving that history is a separate job.A sudden burst gets held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk operation or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running everything. The filter never lets anything through
Filter rules are typed: a text rule only works on text and a number rule only on numbers. Picking the wrong one is why a filter never passes.
