Overview

What the lindo.ai Zapier integration does for your workspace

lindo.ai is a website builder where AI writes the sites, and where you manage the clients and the team behind them. Connected to Zapier, the workspace stops being an island: a new client can get credits on arrival, a finished AI build can alert someone, and a single step can launch a site or a blog post from another tool. Twenty-two operations, all on the free plan.

Clients who arrive ready to work. New Client Created fires the moment someone joins your workspace, and Allocate Credits to Client tops up their balance before they log in.

Sites launched from anywhere. Create Website takes a plain-language prompt and starts an AI build; Batch Create Websites (AI) starts up to 25 of them in one go.

Builds you never have to watch. Website AI Build Completed tells Zapier when every page of a new site is done, so the next step runs only once there is something to show.

All five triggers are instant: lindo.ai reports each event to Zapier itself, so even the free plan reacts at once. Now the limits. Nothing in Zapier deletes a client, a website or a blog post. No trigger fires when an Edit Website run finishes; you have to check it with a search. And Page AI Build Completed has no matching action, so the page builds it reports start inside lindo.ai. Before you commit, see our Zapier review.

Vocabulary

Zapier words you will meet on this page

Eight terms, each in plain words. Once explained, they are used as is.

Zap
The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for that event to happen.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that creates, sends or changes something for you in an app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The allowance on your plan is counted in tasks.
Instant vs polling
An instant trigger is pushed by the app the moment the event happens. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it there otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something already in an app, such as a workflow status or a credit balance, for later steps.
Connection
Your lindo.ai account linked to Zapier once, then offered to every lindo.ai step in every Zap you build.
Cost

What a lindo.ai Zap really costs

Zapier bills tasks, and only successful actions create them. Your five lindo.ai triggers never cost anything.

  • Premium appNo, lindo.ai runs on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Triggers5, all instant, never billed
  • Failed actionNot billed

A trigger is free, and so is the wait for the next event. Each action that goes through counts one task: a Zap that runs Allocate Credits to Client then sends an email uses two. A failed action is not charged. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only, one trigger and one action. A filter, a search such as Check Website Workflow Status or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Because every lindo.ai trigger is instant, the plan intervals below never slow it down.

Connect

Connect lindo.ai to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. You need a lindo.ai account, plus access to any clients or websites you do not own yourself but want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

    Pick lindo.ai

Type lindo.ai in the search box of the dialog and select it from the results. Then click Add connection; a new browser tab opens on the lindo.ai sign-in screen, ready for your login.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log into lindo.ai in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection is stored once, and each lindo.ai step you add later offers it in its account menu.

First Zap

Your first Zap: credits and a welcome email for every new client

GoalEach time a client is created in your lindo.ai workspace, they receive a set amount of credits and a welcome email, without anyone touching the dashboard.

  1. 01

    Start with New Client Created

Create a Zap, pick lindo.ai and New Client Created as the trigger, then your connection. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent clients so you map from a real one.

  2. 02

    Add Allocate Credits to Client

Add a lindo.ai step with Allocate Credits to Client. Map the new client's ID into Client ID, choose the Credit Type, and type a positive number in Amount.

  3. 03

    Send the welcome email

Add a step in your email tool that writes to the client's address. With this third step the Zap is multi-step, so it needs a paid plan; on the free plan, stop after the credits.

  4. 04

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and check the balance and the email that came out. When both look right, publish the Zap to switch it on. Clients created before that moment are not covered.

Triggers

The lindo.ai triggers

5 events start a Zap when something happens in lindo.ai, and 5 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

New Client Created

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new client is created in your workspace.”

Starts your Zap as soon as a client is added to your lindo.ai workspace, whether you added them in the dashboard or a Create Client step did. The details of that client flow to the next steps, ready to be mapped into another app.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
give each newcomer credits and a welcome email the moment their account exists.
Watch out
if the same Zap also runs Create Client, every client it creates fires it again, in a loop.
2

New Website Created

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new website is created in your workspace.”

Fires whenever a website appears in your workspace. It reports the creation of the site, not the end of its build, so an AI site may still be filling its pages when your Zap runs.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
keep a running list of every site in your workspace, outside lindo.ai, for the team to check.
Watch out
if the content matters to the next step, Website AI Build Completed is the safer start.
3

Blog AI Build Completed

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a standalone AI blog creation workflow finishes.”

Here the Zap waits for the AI to finish writing a standalone blog post. You get the result of the workflow, not just a notice that it started, so the steps after it can share or file the finished post.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
tell the person who requested a post, through Create Blog Post, that it is ready for review.
Watch out
it covers AI blog workflows, not posts sent in with Publish Blog Post, which are written by you.
4

Page AI Build Completed

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a standalone AI page creation workflow finishes.”

Reacts when the AI finishes building a single standalone page. Zapier offers no action that starts such a page build, so the builds it reports are the ones launched inside lindo.ai itself.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
ping whoever reviews new pages as soon as one built in the dashboard is done.
Watch out
a page built as part of a full AI site is a different event; for that, use Website AI Build Completed.
5

Website AI Build Completed

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when an AI website creation workflow finishes and all pages are built.”

Waits until an AI website build is entirely over, with every page in place, before starting the Zap. That makes it the right starting point whenever the next step needs a site that actually exists in full.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
once a site launched with Create Website is done, assign it to its client and tell them.
Watch out
a site that never finishes building never fires it, so keep a status search for builds you started.
Actions

lindo.ai actions

lindo.ai gives you 10 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Allocate Credits to Client

Action

In Zapier“Allocates credits from your workspace to a specific client.”

Moves credits from your workspace to one client. Credit Type sets the kind: monthly credits reset each cycle, daily ones reset every day, purchased ones stay. Amount must be a positive number.

When to use it
a new client should start with a balance already loaded.
Watch out
check Get Workspace Credits first if your own balance runs low.
2

Assign Website to Client

Action

In Zapier“Assigns a website to a client in your workspace.”

Links one website to one client of your workspace, using the Website ID and the Client ID.

When to use it
a site built by Create Website is finished and has to appear in its client's account.
Watch out
both IDs are required, so the Zap must carry both of them from earlier steps.
3

Batch Create Blog Posts (AI)

Action

In Zapier“Start up to 25 AI blog-creation workflows on a single website in one request.”

Launches up to 25 AI blog posts on one website in a single request. You give the Website ID, then a list in Items (JSON), one prompt per post, each with an optional publishing date.

When to use it
a full content plan for one site is approved and ready to go.
Watch out
all items land on the same website; a second site needs a second step.
4

Batch Create Websites (AI)

Action

In Zapier“Start up to 25 AI website-creation workflows in one request.”

Starts up to 25 AI website builds from one step. The Items (JSON) field holds the list, one prompt per site, with an optional schedule and client for each.

When to use it
a set of site requests is ready and launching them one by one would burn a task each.
Watch out
the list has to follow the exact format the field describes, with 25 items at most.
5

Create Blog Post

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new blog post on a website using AI.”

Asks the AI to write a new post on one of your sites. It needs the Website ID and a Prompt that says what the post should cover.

When to use it
a topic lands in a shared list and you want the draft written on the right site.
Watch out
it returns a workflow ID; Check Blog Workflow Status tells you when the post is actually there.
6

Create Client

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new client in your workspace.”

Adds someone to your workspace from just an Email. Send Invitation Email is off by default, so the client is created silently unless you switch it on.

When to use it
a client recorded in another tool should also exist in lindo.ai.
Watch out
forget the invitation box and the client exists without knowing it.
7

Create Website

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new website using AI.”

Describe the site you want in the Prompt field, in plain words, and the AI starts building it. The step hands back a workflow ID rather than a finished site.

When to use it
another tool hands you a site description and you want a first draft started without opening lindo.ai.
Watch out
the build takes its own time; follow it with Check Website Workflow Status or Website AI Build Completed.
8

Edit Website

Action

In Zapier“Edits an existing website (across its pages) using AI.”

Changes an existing site across its pages from a Prompt describing the edit. By default the result is saved as drafts; turn on Publish to live site to push it straight to the public version.

When to use it
the same wording change has to reach several pages of a client site.
Watch out
no trigger tells you the edit is over; check it with Check Website Edit Workflow Status.
10

Publish Blog Post

Action

In Zapier“Creates and publishes a static blog post with markdown content on a website.”

Puts a post you already wrote online, no AI involved. It asks for the Website ID, a URL Path, a Page Title and the Blog Content in Markdown.

When to use it
your posts are drafted elsewhere and only need to land on the site.
Watch out
the content must be Markdown, not formatted text.
Searches

lindo.ai searches

7 search steps look for data that already exists in lindo.ai, so a later step can use it.

A search step reads something that already exists and passes it down the Zap. In the editor, the seven lindo.ai searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Five of them follow the AI workflows started by the actions above; two read credit balances. Three settings decide what happens when a result surprises you.

1

Batch Check Blog Workflow Status

Search

In Zapier“Poll up to 25 blog-creation workflows at once.”

Checks up to 25 blog workflows at once from the list of their workflow IDs in Workflow IDs (JSON).

When to use it
after Batch Create Blog Posts (AI), to see which posts of the batch are done.
Watch out
the list must hold blog workflow IDs only; website IDs belong to the next search.
2

Batch Check Website Workflow Status

Search

In Zapier“Poll up to 25 website-creation workflows at once.”

Reads where up to 25 website builds stand, in one step, from a list of their workflow IDs.

When to use it
following a Batch Create Websites (AI) run, to know which sites can move on.
Watch out
the list format has to match the field description exactly, and website workflow IDs only.
3

Check Blog Workflow Status

Search

In Zapier“Poll the status of a blog-creation workflow started by the Create Blog Post action. Returns done, status, and the published blog info when complete.”

Tells you whether one post started by Create Blog Post is finished, and returns the published post once it is. It needs the workflow ID that action gave back.

When to use it
share the post link only once the post really exists.
Watch out
a post still in progress comes back as not done.
4

Check Website Edit Workflow Status

Search

In Zapier“Poll the status of a website-edit workflow started by the Edit Website action. Returns done, status, and the changed pages when complete.”

Follows one Edit Website run and, when it is done, lists the pages that changed. You feed it the workflow ID returned by that action.

When to use it
tell a client which pages of their site were updated.
Watch out
no trigger covers edits, so this search is the only way to know.
5

Check Website Workflow Status

Search

In Zapier“Poll the status of a website-creation workflow started by the Create Website action. Returns done, status, per-page progress, and the final result when complete.”

Reports how far a site started by Create Website has come, page by page, and the final result when it completes. It takes the workflow ID from that action.

When to use it
show progress to a client waiting on their new site.
Watch out
it only reads one build; for many, use the batch version.
6

Get Client Credits

Search

In Zapier“Reads the credit balance for a specific client in your workspace.”

Looks up the credit balance of one client from their Client ID, so a later step can act on the number.

When to use it
before topping a client up, see what they still have.
Watch out
without a Client ID from an earlier step there is nothing to look up.
7

Get Workspace Credits

Search

In Zapier“Reads the credit balance for your workspace: monthly, purchased, daily, and total available credits.”

Returns your own workspace balance: monthly, purchased, daily and total available credits. The Scope field is always set to workspace.

When to use it
place it before Allocate Credits to Client so you never hand out what you do not have.
Watch out
it reads the connected account only, never a client's balance.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap and skips the steps that depend on it. Switched on, the Zap continues empty-handed.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
This box turns a search into a find-or-create. lindo.ai offers no such variant, so you will not meet it on these seven searches.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one (the default), stop the Zap, or pass all of them on at once.
When it breaks

When a lindo.ai Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to lindo.ai, and no app-specific limit is documented. What breaks comes from how Zapier itself works.

  • Existing clients and sites are skipped

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Clients and websites created before that stay out, and bringing them in is a separate job.
  • A Zap that keeps firing itself

A Zap that starts on New Website Created and runs Create Website creates a site that sets it off again, and the task count drains fast.
  • A sudden flood is held back

When a trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.
  • A build that never finishes

The Completed triggers fire only at the end of a workflow. Until a build is over, only a status search tells you where it stands.

FAQ

lindo.ai Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the lindo.ai Zapier integration free?
Yes, for two-step Zaps. lindo.ai is not a premium app, so it runs on Zapier's free plan, which gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps made of one trigger and one action. New Client Created followed by Allocate Credits to Client fits inside that. Add a welcome email, a filter or a status search and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The triggers themselves never cost a task.
02How many tasks does a lindo.ai Zap use?
One per action that succeeds, nothing for the trigger. A Zap that creates a client and then assigns a website uses two tasks per run. Batch Create Websites (AI) starts up to 25 builds from a single action step, where you would otherwise need 25 Create Website steps, each counted on its own. An action that fails is not counted against your plan, so a broken step does not quietly eat into your monthly allowance.
03Does lindo.ai trigger Zaps in real time?
Yes. All five lindo.ai triggers are instant: lindo.ai tells Zapier the moment a client or a website is created, or an AI build finishes, and the Zap starts right away. The polling interval of your plan does not apply to them, which is why this integration feels just as quick on the free plan as on a paid one. In the editor, a Zap built on one of these triggers shows a lightning bolt to say so.
04What does it take to connect lindo.ai to Zapier?
A lindo.ai account, plus access to any clients or websites you do not own yourself but want the Zap to touch. In Zapier, open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search for lindo.ai, click Add connection, then sign in through the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. The connection is saved once and offered to every lindo.ai step afterwards, so there is nothing to repeat when you build the next Zap.
05Why does a Zap move on before the AI site is built?
Because Create Website only starts the build. It returns a workflow ID straight away, while the AI keeps working on the pages. Any step placed right after it sees a build in progress, not a finished site. Either start a separate Zap on Website AI Build Completed, which fires once every page is in place, or add Check Website Workflow Status and read whether the build is done. The same goes for Create Blog Post and Edit Website.
06What if the lindo.ai operation you need is not there?
Then the Zap cannot do it with lindo.ai as things stand. Zapier offers 22 lindo.ai operations, and none of them deletes a client, a website or a post, or starts a standalone page build. Edits also have no trigger of their own. Check the lindo.ai page on Zapier before planning around a missing piece, and look at whether a status search can cover what a trigger does not, as it does for Edit Website runs.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for lindo.ai?
It depends on your criteria, not on a single winner. First check whether lindo.ai is available on the other platform at all, since this page only covers Zapier. Then compare billing: Zapier counts each successful action as a task, and its free plan stops at two-step Zaps. Last, weigh how much follow-up your AI builds need, because every status search or filter you add around them turns a Zapier Zap into a paid, multi-step one.
